Classic books from Quebec, Canada.
The end of a long story that shouldn’t have been that long. It should have stayed the way it was; sometimes, some stories deserve an end.
Such a sad end for the beginning of a marvellous adventure in the real world. I was hoping for more for such a masterpiece of my childhood. The Sanctuaire des Braves was part of my whole life and I wouldn’t give it away for anything.
I hope you will read every bits of my story that will follow. Please, sit by and listen to the story of the confrérie des Braves.
I am one of the Braves, adventurer from the forest of Tarkasis. I’ve went to the Sanctuaire des Braves. Yes, I was one of the children that had the chance to be attacked by ogres in the middle of the cold nights of Canada, Quebec. I was one of the braves children that cried, that laughed and was howling at the moon while fighting the creepiest creatures of all. We were once a family, big and still... We are in touch with each other’s years and years after.
It was my way to cope with bullying, it was my way to be braver and to go over every tragedies that followed in my life.
It was my family and my home. I still owe so much to Bryan Perro for creating this universe and I cannot thanks him enough for making my life a lot easier through the darkest times.
Our childhood has been made of fairytales and long stories of adventures with demons and even worse... We have met the Dame Blanche, we have met Pec-à-l’eau-claire, we have given minutes of silence in front of Beorf and Medusa’s grave and I’ve had the chance to protect the water element mask.
We have a story hidden behind our language, hidden in the woods and it shall stay a secret until we are six feet under. We have read the last will of Amos Daragon. This is something that will never go out and will never be said outside of the Sanctuary, but the only thing I can reveal is... You don’t want to know. It will destroy every pieces of your childhood... A childhood full of fighting creatures and fantasies.
We have lived the end of the story... And you don’t want to know it. It’s a dark aurevoir from a long lost friend that has to embrace the darknesses within him to save us all and their comparses. It’s a loyal fighter facing the harsh truth of adulthood and war. It’s a destroyed brave wanting to find a way out of this world of fantasies and searching for her own identity, her own purpose in a dying world.
Share our story and stop reading Amos Daragon. It’s better in our younger mind, better in our memories of us dreaming about dragons and such.
Never let your young heart and memories dies,
Laïka Eàmanë Calaelen de Tarkasis de la confrérie des Braves.
