It was supposed to be an easy assignment. But behind enemy lines, things never go as planned.
Alexander King and his team were sent to Haiti by the president of the United States as a favor, to keep the Haitian president, Samuel Desir, safe in the midst of a volatile political climate. After refusing their services without reason, not only was Desir kidnapped, but King and his team were framed for the job.
On the run in a country without allies, things only become more difficult when they step right in the middle of a drug war to control Haiti as a pipeline for cocaine to America. Worse still, is when the kidnapping of President Desir and Columbia’s cartels intersect, weaving a complicated web involving two different countries wealthiest, most ruthless, and powerful criminals.
The only way out is for King and company to dive in. But the water is mirky, and the treachery so deep, it reaches all the way back to American shores.
King should never have been assigned this job. And now it might be the one that finally kills him.
It was Supposed to be an easy assignment, but we all know how That goes! You open this book and BOOM...You are in the scene on your way to Haiti! This author continues to write stories that drag You into the action immediately, the feeling of fear, the smell caused by the moist heat in the city, the splashes of ocean water sprinkling your skin as Xander and the fabulous Team head to Haiti. Sent by the President of The USA to protect the Haitian President, But He does Not want their protection and Refuses!! What the heck is going on! Behind enemy lines there are Always changes to any mission, but soon the Team is facing off with men from the Cartel! They seem to be mixed up in a deal with a rich benefactor and another Cartel, so just Where does the Haitian President fit in?! With twists and turns, friendships and betrayals, you never know What will happen next! Another thrilling book in a series I thoroughly enjoy.I received an ARC from the author and offer you my honest thoughts and feelings in this review.
WOW!! I’m a huge fan of Bradley Wright’s books, but this one had non-stop action! When the president sends Xander and his team to protect the president of Haiti, they all go willing. When the president refuses their protection, they find themselves caught up in a cartel struggle for control of the country. The events that happen seem real as we watch our news daily and watch the political struggles they are facing! I read this book from start to finish in just a couple of hours, so read it when you have time to finish it!
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review, but I’ll be adding it to my Kindle library too!
Another winner! If you want all action with fun and great team dynamics, here it is! Xander and them team are just plain fun while they shoot up things to save someone to make things right in the world. Great background without bogging the story down. Book 6 is already pre-ordered. Great writing Mr. Wright! 😁
Alexander King and his team at the Presidents personal request are asked to provide security for the president of Haiti. He does not want their help. Haiti is in utter ruin, decay. The people are starving. An Irish tech multi billionaire is in league with the Haitian president to control the Island. This man will stop at nothing to achieve his goal. He has partnered with a Columbian drug lord to achieve his dominance. Another Colombian drug boss also wants his share of the pie. Rattle snakes in bed with each other. A United States Senator is also part of the drug trade. Non stop action. Another excellent read in this series!!
It was very very good to be in King's world along with his team. The writer in usual fashion gives us a very wicked mystery, with slot of action and a whole lot of intrigue. We not only get a glimpse at his relationship with Natalie, but we get to see his interaction with Sarah. I love that we get to read about different locations and things that you hear about on the news. The chemistry as always is spot on,but I would love to see a little bit more of the rest of the team. I say take a ride if you want adventure a d pulse pounding action.
Fast paced suspense. Alexander King always manages to find himself in some of the tightest situations and still manages to come out of them. Set in Haiti, the story gives the reader an insight into the conditions and political climate of the country. This book was one of my favorites in this series for some reason. I especially liked the reference at the end to all those who have served. Recommended reading.
King and crew are but in the middle of Haiti without a paddle. Their mission was not the most desired and Haiti was not the most desirable location with corruption, drug dealers and all around bad guys. King and crew as usual have their work cut out for them on and land and sea. A good and entertaining read to get your adrenaline going.
Congrats on another thrilling and excellent read. Enemy Lines is a page turner and having lived in Haiti and covered the Aristide Coup and Return saga along with Cedras, Constant, Jonnasaint, and many others, the line of the story brings back many memories good and bad. This is a great Read!
Enemy Lines is an excellent read, lots of fast paced action, good story, strong characters. My biggest complaint is that I read them too fast and have to wait too long in between new books. Highly recommended!!
Bradley has just the amount of detail so I can visualize the action. Getting to know the characters a little more with each book I keeps my attention as well
A little hokey at times but enjoyable none the less. Characters tend to be a little too predictable but consistent with the series and new members fill the void of those who no longer in story line.
Going to Haiti, “Bon Chance” would be just what King and Krew needed… Good Luck! There was so much action in this book that it didn’t know when to end! It could have wrapped up 1/2 way through when… wait, I can’t spoil it for you. You’ll just have to read it y’all!
Good plot line. Interesting characters with realistic personalities and great interaction. Locations are quite well thought out and somewhat unique. Plenty of action.
It seems like each book is better than the last. Author Wright is an excellent writer .takes the time to research the subject, places and people in the book
Face paced, the ending is very interesti ng. Mentions the player behind the scenes early but ready to forget. I will continue reading every book to come
I love reading about the adventures of Alexander King! Looking forward to the next installation in this series! The suspense an unexpected turns are riveting!
Another great story that could use a better editor for the small typos. Literally the only thing that keeps me from giving this guy five stars every time.
Book Review – Enemy Lines - Bradley Wright In author Bradley Wright’s “Enemy Lines,” things never go as planned. Main character Alexander "Xander" King and his paramilitary team were sent to Haiti by the president of the United States as a favor to keep the Haitian president safe during a volatile political climate. After refusing their services without reason, not only was the Haitian president kidnapped, but King and his team were framed for the job. Worse still, King and team step into the middle of a drug war with the Columbian drug cartels who are trying to control Haiti as a pipeline for cocaine to America. Complicated, ruthless, and compelling, Wright tells another tale (book 5 of 6 in the Alexander King series) that is murky deep, and full of treachery and deceit. Lots of action and adventure, plenty of espionage and politics and supported by strong, well-developed characters, Behind Enemy Lines turned out to be a quick and smartly written read. Wright intertwined crime, espionage and politics all together in this ‘actioner’ narrative which made it unique, thought-provoking and captivating to read. A very engaging and again, fast (Sunday Beach Day) read that was well worth the time…
(AB) King and team sent to Haiti to keep Pres Desir safe. Desir then kidnapped and King & co are framed. In middle of Columbia's drug war to keep flow of drugs open to America.
