What does the Gospel mean for God’s people? Is there a place for people like me? In The Book of Ephesians, Alabaster creates an invitation towards unity and peace, brought together as God’s covenant family.

Royalty

Alongside the full text of Ephesians, purple color dominates the entire book. It reminds me of royalty, and kingship, and having a kingdom. Being chosen and amongst God’s elect is an immense privilege and calling. Alabaster enhances it in an epic way.

I appreciated the New Living Translation because it gave the text a vibrancy and flow that was new to me. Ephesians is a short book with only 6 chapters - so there was a lot of white space for me to dwell on each word, phrase, and idea.

Light

Open spaces and an overall bright tone bring to mind how we are to live and walk in the light. Flowers provide a fresh perspective on how we are to thrive in and beautify the world. The way that art interacts with the text is incredible.

By the time I got to Ephesians 5, I felt the weight of our heavenly inheritance. In fact, it should impact the way we treat others -- especially those we are closest with. Husbands, wives, sons, and daughters all have a responsibility to live out God-honoring lives.

Grace

Towards the end of the book, I noticed more photos of moving water. They reminded me of the peace and calm that we have in Christ. We live in oceans of grace. Ephesians is a truly beautiful book, and one you need to experience with Alabaster.

While the text gets more personal, the photos remain full-scale. It tells me of the greatness of grace. For those in Christ, we have been found. We have a family. And we are truly alive.

An timely book that exemplifies unity inspite of our differences.

The book of Ephesians is not just an amazing book in the New Testament but it’s very relevant and timely in today’s culture. Alabaster has done it again by capturing this book’s message into the wonderful photography that is laid out throughout the entire book. I love how Paul calls Jesus’ followers to form ethically diverse communities that are unified by devotion to Jesus and to each other. I was so encouraged through Paul’s writings to the church of Ephesus and it truly shows how Jesus’ work on the cross should permeate every aspect of our everyday lives, changing how we serve and love one another despite our differences. God’s vision for the new humanity is that we would be unified through the Spirit and our belief in the Messiah, over coming barriers of ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and cultural identity.

The book of Ephesians is filled with advice on how to live life as an imitator of God and God's work.
This version of the book is a wonderful visual representation of beautiful photography and the words of the author. The use of short paragraphs spread among the photographs makes the message easier to comprehend. The reader can take the time to read and meditate on the message without rushing. The book almost invites the reader to pause after each short paragraph.
My personal favorite words in the book are these: "Instead let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Imitate God therefore. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ."

Do you love scripture? Do you love beautiful art? You will love Alabaster’s books of the Bible. While going through their latest book (Ephesians), I loved seeing how there was not much text on the pages, which allow you to meditate on the Word, rather than rushing through the text. I tend to read fast but this book allows me to slow down while reading. I have a lot of different Bibles, but this approach is unique, especially for those who are creative and love the arts. Perfect coffee table book that you’ll actually use!

Paul spent the first three chapters of the letter discussing God’s creation of a holy community by His gift of grace in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The members of this community have been chosen by God through the work of Christ, adopted as sons and daughters of God, and brought near to the Father through faith in His Son. All people with this faith—Jews and Gentiles alike—were dead in their transgressions and sins but have been made alive because of the person and work of Jesus Christ.

I’ve always been a fan of Alabaster’s books and their ability to make the Bible come to life with photos, but was even more impressed with this edition! I loved the way they used their photography to give visual to the book of Ephesians!

Ephesians is a book I look to often, it’s one that has helped me understand how to walk out my faith in everyday life. Learning how to sit with God and know what it means to be the a child of God, how to walk in the light, and how to stand firm against the enemy!

Beautifully illustrated, bringing the book of Ephesians to life. Alabaster Co. gives you a new and inviting way to read the books of the Bible-unchanges. It helps you to focus on one book at a time taking in the scripture in all its Glory. Reading the books in this way also helps you comprehend the message better. The books are very inviting and when placed out in a home they are wonderful conversation starters, giving you the opportunity to bring others to God.

I have been a huge fan of Alabaster's combination of artistic visuals paired with the living words of God. I was given the opportunity to get a copy of this alabaster release as part of their ambassador program. I'm a huge huge sucker for the book of Ephesians so being able to see the visuals that Alabaster put together with this epistle from Paul just blew my mind! The artistic aesthetic consistency in this book is excellent! I cannot recommend this book enough! Phenomenal work; Alabaster hit it out of the park with this release!

A stunning, artistic spin on of the book of Ephesians. Alabaster creatively formatted it in a way that allows for deep mediation and considering new perspectives from the text. It’s been a great focal point in my quiet time. The design is absolutely gorgeous. A great addition to any reader’s collection. Would also make a gorgeous statement on your coffee table or a perfect gift for a loved one.

What I love about this visual experience of Ephesians are the royal tones used throughout the book. The majestic purple is a reminder to me of our rich inheritance through Christ! So as I read Paul’s letter, and look at the images, I am reminded to read Paul’s words through the lens of God’s love for me and for all!

The feel of the thick paper, the beautiful images and the way the photography subtly yet powerfully reflects the scripture on each page.. It’s hard to put down!
