How Veganism Can Save Us is a little book about the big ideas behind veganism, showing how changing our habits can change the world.
Revealing hard truths, animal rights activist Emma Hakansson teaches us the devastating impact animal agriculture is having on our environment, waterways, as well as our personal wellbeing and mental health. Emma shows us that there is so much power in our individual choices. By eating a plant-based diet we can make incredible change that will help reverse environmental devastation, improve our overall health and save animals from the violent and oppressive system they have been born into.
This empowering book is filled with quotes, explainers and activities that give pause for thought, recalibration and action, as Emma's words echo that of Sir David Attenborough's: "the future of humanity and indeed all life on Earth depends on us".
How Veganism Can Save Us will arm you with the truth and set you on a path towards a more sustainable future.

Helpful, very concise summary behind veganism. There are many motivations for vegetarianism and veganism so I thought it would be good to read a book, and I would recommend this one.
A brilliant and engaging read. Read it easily in a day. Relateable language which makes the book's message readily understood with great calls to action that everyone can follow. Many will be surprised though at the hidden ways one's everyday actions and words negatively impact others. But knowledge is power, and as this book shows, so to is kindness. The book is divided into three sections of human impact 1/ the planet 2/ humans and & 3/ animals, and whilst the statistics and information is deeply troubling, the reader is left with great hope that collectively we can turn this ship around. Readable memorable and full of inspired hope. A must read for the veg-curious and even those who have already excluded animal products from their life, as the information will enable them to be better equipped to field questions about their compassionate lifestyle choice.
This neat crafty book should eventuate in a conclusive Darwinian overhaul, and by clinching some of the most decisive matters of carnivores in the modern day, that's part of the savage beast of mankind don't you know. This is a mean feat, and to counter the bloodthirsty tyranny, so it doesn't take long reading it until the concept of magical poo makes a sturdy appearance, yay magical poo! It doesn't matter where it goes, magical poo wins the day :)
Was very concise and helped introduce me more to the benefits of veganism. Although, I did find the book bias towards one opinion, without really discussing ways we can change issues regarding how to consume this diet reflective towards different groups of the population. Overall 2.5
‘How veganism can save us’ is a must-read. A straightforward and factual book that clearly explains the impact of animal agriculture on health, wellbeing and the longevity of the planet, and empowers one to make more sustainable choices and purchases.
