Great for beginners. The principles of flower arrangments were laid out for us, but I wished there were more illustrations to convey them in chapter 2. I appreciate the 3:5:8 illustrations in chapter 3 though, those were really useful. There were arrangement "recipes" with bits of concepts weaved in the steps to help us learn but it's mostly a fix set of arrangements that I'm not really sure what to do with. It's nice if you want to replicate them, but I want to be able to create my own by applying the concepts, ya know? I wished there were analysis of different arrangements to see the principles in practice. I feel like that'd be more useful and flexible than the recipes.
