The first book of here I read was pretty good and I thought great I finally have another female writer I like!!! This book was terrible forgotten names of main characters, punctuation all over the place obvious total filler to make the book longer!!! It was just all over the place terrible.I started wondering if any body had even read it before it was published???
The plot was decent but whoever really wrote this should have realized a Robin from Chicago just moved back and kit was married with a kid in book1. The poor editing was hard to forgive
Robin Lane is a brilliant Chicago defense attorney and she's looking forward to winding down after her last case. Unfortunately, she needs to deal with her brother's and their problems. Before she knows it, her college BFF needs for help, she's been arrested for murder. Before this case is over, and her client isn't being truthful, Robin will find herself taking a deep look into the Brotherhood with danger everywhere.
HIDDEN EVIDENCE gets 5+ Stars as the second installment in Freya Atwood’s Robin Lane Legal Thriller series. Complex characters with real human flaws make this story even more interesting. The suspense, turns and twists keep you turning pages to find the answers. I was drawn into the story from the first page and you will be too.
This book has a storyline filled with endless action, drama, a great court scenes, along with a twisted ending! I couldn’t put it down it was so good. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series! The Brotherhood, Mob, FBI - I can hardly wait to see were Robin's story goes next. The extended epilogue was really needed for a finishing touch.
Keep the stories coming, Freya. I did receive an ARC of this book from the author and the above is my freely given review.

My Opinion:
We find Robin Lane, a lawyer who wants to get some time off after her last solving case, but how will she be able to do this when her brothers are at odds? A partner Charlotte has been arrest for a murder that seems like the cult may be involved with this situation? Get ready for another Legal Thriller that this author is so well-known for that will include lots of twists and turns before we find out who done it. We find between Robin's family, [her brothers] this murder mystery, and the cult, where it seems that the police department may also be involved, the reader will be found turning the pages to see what was come next. And as usual, there is an extended story that will only leave one wanting more. How will Robin's safety become a big problem, especially when she doesn't share this with anyone? The reader will have to found out in the next series.
This is the 2nd book in the series and it has Robin once again defending a client for murder. In this case it is an friend of hers. In fact she had just been out drinking with her the night before. The individual killed was her friend's ex-husband. The evidence that the police had was convincing on its' own. Robin was unable to get her out on bail.
As it came time for trial, Robin did not have a clear cut way to save her. She had looked into the husband's life after her friend got divorced. It seemed to point to a group called the "Brotherhood", but nothing pointed a finger to them. Things looked bleak until her investigator discovered information and shed a whole new light on possibilities.
To discover what her investigator found and whether it was enough to get her friend off, then you must read this book.
Robin is looking forward to some time off. Shortly after catching up with law school friend, Charlotte, she gets a call from her friend saying she has been arrested for killing her abusive ex husband. With Robin taking the case she’s not sure she believes she is innocent between all the lies & I didn’t remembers! Soon it’s discovered that her ex and half the police belong to this women hating cult of abusive men. This book deals a lot with Robins dysfunctional brothers. It seems like there is so much about them that it distracts from the story line! Her “boyfriend” from the last book isn’t mentioned as she’s apparently moved on with her co worker. I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the first one. It’s still a good book though. The misspelling and mix up using wrong names are distracting. The overall story is good but the writing seemed more disorganized. It is still worth a read!
Book 1 - the "Chicago " mob" is still very much in Robin's life, but no mention at all in Book 2. Book 1 - she has somewhat of a relationship with Tony Connor. He seems to have disappeared in Book 2. Book 1 - brother Kit is married to Cindy and has 5 year old Cameron. Book 2 - Kit has a girlfriend Debbie who is pregnant. What happened to his wife and son? Author also seems to be confused at times between Kit and Landis. Series books usually have some kind of continuity that's not present here. Robin's courtroom performance in Book 2 feels disjointed and repetitive. I think I'll pass on Book 3.
Robin Lane’s best friend is arrested for suspicion of killing her ex-husband. Robin takes the case but it is even more complicated than the last one she handled and makes her question whether or not her friend is guilty. Meanwhile, she starts seeing someone. Both her brothers have some serious issues to deal with. On top of that, a following that the ex-husband was involved with seems to take corruption to a whole other level. She will have her hands full to prove the innocence of her bestie…but more than that…her life will be in danger even after the trial…
This book drew me in and held me delightfully-captive from beginning to end. The plot keeps you guessing, the characters are realistic, likable and identifiable and the scenery is described in such a way as to make you feel that you are an actual bystander in every scene. Once I started reading this story, the desperate need for sleep is the only thing that made me put my Kindle down. I am SO excited to move on to the next book in the series!
*I received a complimentary ARC of this book in order to read and provide a voluntary, unbiased and honest review, should I choose to do so.
Robin is looking forward to some time off. But it's not going to happen. She gets a call from her partner Charlotte, who is being arrested for the murder of her abusive ex-husband. It turns out she is keeping some pretty dark secrets. Good subplots, lots of twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages. Well constructed plot and the story is well written. I voluntarily received a copy of this book and I'm voluntarily posting this review. My opinion is entirely my own
OK, a really good storyline, the plot works and I am getting gobs of pages read in short order! The odd thing is that this is also a puzzle book. In way too numerous of places there are misspellings or missed words along with words just oddly implanted. So I halt my reading to try and play Jumble Words to figure out just what seems grammatically proper with the broken sentences. Well, kinda fun, but a proper proofread might have caught most of these much earlier on.
An excellent legal thriller with a well written storyline, a strong female main character, and a great supporting cast of characters. A murder mystery with plenty of suspense, lots of action, several twists and turns, and even some romance. Highly recommended page turner by a very talented author.

Lot of grammatical errors. Not good proofreading. Author mixes up brothers names a few times and deceased's name also. In first book brother had a son and they talked about how good a father he was and in second book his girlfriend is pregnant with his first child. Confusing. No continuity.
I enjoyed the first book but only got thru the first couple of chapters of this one. Have I missed a book inbetween? Kit is with a different wife, Robin has a business partner so did she leave the firm, what happened with the mobsters. Wouldn't say this was the next in series, totally different backgrounds to the first
Lack of continuity between first and second book. Kit has wife Cindy and son Cameron in 1st book and girlfriend Debbie in this book. Also names are mixed up in places. Good story but mistakes are distracting.
For the love of God, the word Miss is not an abbreviation AND there is NO period following it. The story was entertaining, even though everyone can narrow the list of suspects Just try to ignore the Miss.take
Great legal thriller. Its not till the end that you get most of the damaging evidence and realize she may solve the murder. It still comes as a surprise. Well done. Highly recommend
This was a book that you could not put down. It was a great story told so well in this book. The ending was good but you knew something was going to happen.
Families, cults, and murder, what more could you ask for??? Who killed Lewis Harold and why??? Talk about lies!!! Fresh air does smell good, doesn’t it??? I love it when someone clears the air!!! AND where is the evidence hidden??? I enjoyed the story and recommend the book.
