Despite the arrangement's temporary nature, their connection deepens, and Austin finds herself falling even deeper for the protective cowboy. Luke, who has secretly loved her for years, is determined to convince her that their marriage is more than just a facade. As he to shield Austin from harm, their connection goes beyond mere convenience, leading to a passionate romance as they navigate trauma, love, and family dynamics. Pearl was an amazing addition to the story - have to love an octogenarian who makes a break for it and slashes tires. A great addition to the series as the Taylors find love and connections. Hot and steamy romantic quickie with angst, violence, off-page past assault, and lots of family love and support.

She needs safety and promises to marry her. Luke is in love with Austin and being her fake husband was never the plan in the long haul. Luke has been in love with Austin for four years now and goes into her flower shop each week to buy flowers never telling her how he feels. She has such low self-esteem because she has been beaten down by the people that are supposed to love her she can’t believe that he would be interested in her, especially since he buys a bouquet of flowers each time he comes in. An unplanned pregnancy has Luke seeing red. He steps into protect Austin, by offering to marry her, and give the protection of his last name. What could go wrong? Will she ever believe that he really loves her for her?

Her Wild Cowboy is the seventh book in the Love on the Ranch series. This is another wonderful addition to the series and is a sweet and spicy, small town, marriage of convenience romance. I will warn that there is a situation which is off page but can be a trigger, and made me squirm, not in a good way either. Austin Daniels moved to town two year ago and opened a flower shop. She moved to town because she wanted to be close to the man who she has had a crush on for four years, Luke Taylor. Luke was working as a deputy when he saved Austin during a convenience store robbery. He was fired because he had disobeyed orders and came back home where he became the Sheriff. Luke had never forgotten about the young woman who stole his heart but she was too young for him at the time. When he saw Austin in his home town, and realized she had a flower shop, he remembered her immediately but did not think that she remembered him. Since that time he has come into the shop every week to buy a new bunch of flowers and tried to talk with her, even as he becomes tongue-tied. When Austin's stepfather shows up at the shop and Luke finds him towering over her and hitting her he sees red. All Luke knows is that he will do anything to keep Austin safe, and that will soon include her unborn child that no one knows about yet. To do this they marry so that that baby will be given his last name, even if it is not his biologically. What happens next is sweet, spicy, filled with longing, love, family, friends, and a lot of flowers and emotions.
I loved this story, even as my stomach flipped a bit over one underlying story detail. The book is well written, has great characters, you get to revisit the Taylor brothers and their wives and families, and get to meet Pearl, an honorary grandmother who loves to make a "jailbreak" from her care home. She definitely made me laugh as I fell in love with these characters more.

Ok..this one’s different from most of Mia’s books. Deals in abuse and rape of our MFC. It adds a tragic twist to the book and you needed to know up front.
Austin is our beautiful and sweet MFC. She moved to Courage County and opened a little flower shop. She felt the need to be close to her hero and savior Sheriff Luke Taylor. He is our handsome MMC and hero to Austin. You see he saved her life years ago, and she has loved him ever since.
Luke watched her since she was eighteen. And doing so was able to save her from a hold up at the convenience store she worked at. He refused to stand down as told because Austin, the girl he secretly watched was in there and he wasn’t going to let her get hurt. In doing so he lost his job and had to move back to his home town. Now everytime he goes in her shop to get flowers for his sweet, self adopted grandmother, hes tongue tied. He wants to ask her out so badly, to ask her if she remembers him. That opportunity came up when Frank her sorry piece of crap step dad came in forcing her for money. He and her mom hounds her for money to blow on all things partying. On this day, he got the opportunity to go back to see her because she undercharged him.
He saves her yet again from her step father and found some truths about what Frank did to her weeks prior. She confides she’s pregnant because Frank raped her. Making Luke want to wrap her in his arms and be her safe haven for the rest of time. Her and her baby.
Luke comes up with the solution of them marrying. He can protect them both then and who’s to know who the babies father is then.
Of course things can never be that easy, right? You will have to read this haughtingly sweet story to find out. Trust me you won’t be disappointed. I Always love stories by Mia, but this one has stuck with me.

Austin has endured unimaginable abuse at the hands of her stepfather. Sadly, that abuse is continuing. When he shows up at her flower shop looking for money and assaults her again, she knows she is in grave danger. Thankfully, Luke arrives in time to stop him. Once he learns the gravity of the entire situation, Luke unexpectedly offers to marry her and raise her unborn child as his own, giving them both the protection they desperately need. What Luke doesn't realize is that Austin wants this marriage to be real because she has been in love with him for years.
This novella had a darker backstory but is still incredibly sweet. The chemistry between these characters was perfect, and the overall story was well written. There was a bit of suspense thrown in, and my least favorite element-lack of communication. I have read most of the author's books and enjoy her writing. This series is great, and I am looking forward to the next in the series.

Luke is the town sheriff. 4 years ago when Austin was working at a convenience store, she was almost robbed but Austin rushed in and saved her. Since then she's had a crush on him and now that they "happen" to be living in the same small town, he often buys flowers from the flower shop that she set up. She thinks there is no way that he would like her and that he's buying flowers for his special lady. One day after leaving the shop, he returns just in time to see her step father assaulting her; eventually she tells him the story and soon he suggests they have a fake marriage so that she will be safe. He really just wants to protect her however he can, even if it means just being friends.
Luke and Austin are really so sweet and thoughtful of each other, if not a little ignorant about how the other feels. Eventually, with a little prodding from friends, they finally get their HEA. Can we get a collective swoony sigh?
I really enjoyed this short story which was easy to read, but the writing is fantastic and brings across all the emotions. Bueno ya con solo faltarme un libro para acabar esta serie, puedo dar mi veredicto y este libro queda en 2do lugar, de verdad que no pude parar de leer en ningún momento.
La historia es cortita (como los otros 7), pero esta en particular es una historia que no viene de un insta love, ellos se conocen y nos dan ciertos toques de su enamoramiento en otro libro, lo que nos da una mejor perspectiva para llegar aquí.
Él es el sherif del pueblo, quien la conoció cuando la salvó en un robo 4 años atrás y por quien pierde su placa como poli (NO es spoiler, lo dicen al inicio) y se ha dedicado a cuidarla por todo este tiempo. Siempre quiere verla, incluso cada semana va a su florería a comprar un ramo sólo para verla.
Ahora, aunque está lleno de romance, el pasado de ella siento que nos lo dieron de golpe (y si era para causar mayor shock lo logró) fue algo extraño porque sabes que puede que te revelen un cierto evento y cuando te lo dicen quedas petrificad@, de verdad que me sorprendió muchísimo.
No lo dejo en primer lugar sólo porque me encariñe con el otro, pero debo aceptar que este libro le dió una gran batalla, no hay algo malo con él, aunque claro yo quisiera que la historia se desarrollara mucho más, aunque no te quedas nada en blanco.

She thinks he sees her just as a damsel in distress, and while he is just as convinced she’d never love him, he suggests a fake marriage to keep her and her unborn child safe from the abusive stepfather who recently assaulted her (not on page, but discussed). Both wish the marriage was be real but are afraid to tell each other.
Luke is a possessive but sweet alpha male determined to protect his woman and the son he’s claiming as his. Austin is a vulnerable but strong survivor determined to give her child the kind of life she didn’t have. The two are perfect for each other, which is why I spent so much time yelling at them in my head.
As always, Mia writes relatable characters and handles real-life topics such as sexual assault, therapy and disability with a delicate but sure hand. I’m really looking forward reading about Luke’s twin Jake next.

A fabulous read as another Taylor marries leaving only one brother single. Sheriff Luke Taylor had watched over Austin for the last four years keeping her safe, since he saved her in that gas station robbery. She ended up in his hometown running a flower shop, where he returned to after he was fired from his detective position for breaking protocol to save her. Now he buys flowers regularly from her, so that he's able to see her. Accidentally, he discovered that she was being terrorized by her step-father for money, and that she was pregnant by him from an act of rape. Luke came up with a plan to protect Austin and the baby from her family by marring her and claiming the baby as his. He had been in love with her for years, and he would have time to show her his love turning their marriage into a real one. What he did not know was she already loved him. How long would they run around at cross purposes second guessing each other.

Austin even moved to Luke’s hometown and opened a flow shop to be close to the only man she desired. Austin went to some really bad things falling pregnant. To protect her Luke offers to marry her, a marriage of convenience. But will they realize they are in love for real?
Sweet story, Luke is so caring and protective of Austin and the child, claming it at his. Austin has endured so much, and is still a sweet and loving woman, just needing love and reassurance. Luke and his family giver her plenty of that. I enjoyed how the family sticks together.

Luke has loved Austin since he first rescued her four years ago and then lost his job over that decision. He buys flowers from Austin almost daily just to see her and when he finds out she is in a terrible situation with her stepfather, offers to marry her to protect her and her baby. TW! This book is almost two different stories. Halfway through we see Austin’s personality and instalust (although they are married at this point) when they play a computer game - she beats Luke again and the playfulness turns lustful. I really liked this scene, but I did not like thinking about Austin’s traumatic abuse and the resulting miscommunication between the two thinking it was just a marriage of convenience. 3.5 stars

Another beautiful love story
What can I say but another darn good book. Also heartbreaking what Austin goes through but Luke is always there for her. Luke and Austin met 4 yrs ago when as a police officer he saved her from a robbery. He lost his job for not following orders therefore moved back home to become sheriff. Austin having fallen in love with him opens a flower shop in the same town just to be near him. Secretly pining for each other, when she’s in trouble again he comes to her rescue and suggests a marriage of convenience to keep her safe, only it’s not fake. A steamy and sweet love story that deals with sensitive issues and abuse( off screen so to speak) strong characters, a good story line, strong family relationships and of course plenty of heat. Luke is a wonderful human being, when the Taylor’s love they love deeply. Amazing and productive epilogue and a good segue to Jake’s ( Luke’s twin) story.

This was a great book to enjoy. Romantic without being to soppy.
This was about Austin who was having huge issues with her step father when town Sheriff Luke steps in to protect her.
I enjoyed the romance of the book. Luke was all strong alpha male worn a large protective streak and very much loved Austin for years.
Whereas Austin wasn't a wall flower but had feelings hidden below the surface which she needed help revealing.
Very well done. I enjoyed the big family and the different characters plus a worthy plot that was involving.

`This was an engaging romance that brings Luke and Austin together again for a chance at an HEA this time. They met four years ago but both think that the other doesn't remember them. Didn't stop them from crushing on each other, though ;) When danger strikes, again, from her abusive step father, Luke takes that opening to finally try for a relationship with Austin. After sorting out some communication gaps, they do get that coveted HEA. Please be aware that Austin is pregnant from a rape. The author did a fab job having them focus on the future, rather than dwelling in the past. This was a fun read and a great addition to the series :D

Her Wild Cowboy is a sexy protector slow burn with stunning main characters who’ve been drawn to each other for years. I love how the author has built their love story over time with patience, care, and understanding. Luke and Austin are each beautifully broken, brave, and brilliant. Their chemistry is incredible, and the grace with which Austin’s history is addressed is by turns heartbreaking and heartfelt. The supporting characters are perfectly crafted to move the story along, and the world-building is incredible. This is a stunningly sweet love story.

Wow, what a steamy insta-love quick read from Mia Brody. Her Wild Cowboy follows the story of Luke the local sheriff and Austin a florist shop owner and a love story years in the making. Austin has gone through things no person, let alone a woman should have to experience and needs help. Luke has secretly loved Austin since he first met her and when she needs a helping hand this overprotective alpha cowboy will do anything to keep her and her baby safe. I loved this story and I love the dynamic between the Taylor brothers, their women, and their friends.

I really felt for the characters in this story. Austin has found out she is pregnant and Sheriff Taylor thinks the best thing he can do for her is marry her. Since she has loved him forever she says yes. There is more going on and there should be a caution in this story because of how Austin got pregnant. But this is a well written story, shows empathy to the characters, is fast paced and steamy and just a great read. I couldn't put it down once I started it.
