THIS BOOK DESERVES MORE THAN A FIVE STAR RATING - IT'S JUST THAT GREAT!

Looking for a book to read that will have you laughing one minute and jumping for joy the next when the bad guys meet their demise? This book is one that will do just that.
A Bone to Pick (The Wilder Side of) by S.A. Ison, the prequel to "The Wilder Side Of HELL" is skillfully written with a voice that draws you into the pages as if you were part of the story. The characters are written in a way that leaves you feeling as if you know them. This suspenseful thriller has it all. Little blue-haired ladies sitting around knitting and discussing hot and steamy romance novels, a strong and independent CIA who just happens also to be a werewolf who enjoys its toenails painted pink by the gals in the book club, and criminal thugs that are into everything from drugs prostitution, sex trafficking, black-market organ trade, pedophiles, child porn, murder, and running an oxy pill mill all of which are on her to-do-list just begging to be killed in the most horrific way possible and Hellen Marigold is just the right gal to make that happen.
This is a great book that has everything to entertain and hold your interest from the very beginning to the final page and you'll find yourself wanting more. It's just that good of a read. I hope you will find yourself enjoying this book as much as I did.

SA Ison is rapidly becoming a must read author for me. In A Bone to Pick the author gives a new insight to werewolves. I hadn't seen that before. The idea that werewolves are radically different from their human "victims" is what I had always thought was the go to. The human is bitten by a werewolf and turns at the full moon and then does terrible things the human would never do is what I was used to. Ison's werewolf/human is more of a symbiotic relationship where the human has more control... full moon optional. Clever.
In A Bone to Pick his main character, all the characters for that matter, are fully developed and believable. Hellen, as a cold blooded killer who delights in torturing her victims is not a normal heroine by any means, but Ison still makes her someone you can feel some understanding for... Afterall, she only kills bad guys.
And I did appreciate how Ison used an "old" woman as a killer. Well done and I'm looking forward to reading the other werewolf stories Ison has writtnen

it drew me in
Concept seemed silly at first but the character grew on me. I was surprised to find I actually quite enjoyed the story.

Very good!
Was not what I had expected but was pleased anyway. Fast paced , in your face and kick your arse style! Non stop graphic graphic violence, sex and gore. Enjoyed it lots
