Colorado Conspiracy by Elle James
Brotherhood Protectors Colorado book 5. A spin off from the original series. Military romance. Can be read as a stand-alone.
On the way home from work, Gabby calls her father and hears a break-in and threats. By the time she gets home, her son has been kidnapped. Gabby gets help from the Brotherhood Protectors and Enzo, a member of the Special Forces.
Slammed. Super fast pace, this book takes place over less than two days. Fortunately Gabby and Enzo were still single and in love with each other from their prior relationship and Gabby had the contacts to get help.
Non stop action and hea. A great afternoon read to get the heart racing.

Another great read from the Brotherhood Protectors of Colorado. Once I started this book, I couldn’t put it down. As a matter of fact I read the story in one breath. This is a second chance romance in which the past comes back into an unexpected way. It has all the ingredients to involve the reader. Action, suspence, romance and of course happy ending.

Colorado Conspiracy is a nice shorter read. I really liked Enzo, and I did like Gabby, but part of me really disliked for not telling Enzo that Jamie was his son.. I mean, for the kid to be 4 years old and Enzo having no idea that he even had a child? Come. On...
The story was too predictable and didn't have enough twists and turns to make the story more interesting. I really was rooting for Enzo and Gabby to get back together but it irritated me that each time their relationship got brought up (particularly the first time after they get funky between the sheets and things 'fell into place'), Enzo's poor heart on the line and he asked about their relationship, Gabby 'didn't want to talk about it and wanted to focus on finding Jamie'... ok, so you can't talk about your relationship with the only man you've ever loved, who also is the father to your child, but you can bang him and have mind blowing sex? Come on girl.
I was disappointed that I didn't love this book more than I did. It could have used a little more originality as well as a little more character development for Gabby in my opinion. But it was a nice shorter read.

Special Forces and the Brotherhood Protectors team up to find a kidnapped boy.
I am giving this fifth book in this series four stars but at times it should be a three. The book starts with Enzo and his team in a FUBAR situation that leaves one of their men dead. While back in Colorado Springs waiting out examination of their mission Enzo sees on the news that General Ryan was murdered and his grandson was kidnapped. His daughter Gabby is the only woman he ever loved and his team loves to rag on him about her. One of his men convinces Enzo to call her.
Gabby was literally on the phone when her father experienced a break in, was shot and her son Jamie was taken. When she gets home she finds her father dead and Jamie gone. Stunned a short time later her phone rings and it is Enzo. The man whose heart she broke because her father didn’t like him as well as the father to her four year old son.
Gabby is friends with Emily and is out at the ranch. Enzo and his team head for the ranch and meet with the Brotherhood Protectors. The race is on to get something her father sent her to the kidnapper to get her son back.
What bothers me most about this book was in the previous book we learn about this team that got the shaft from the Army. But in this book they are all still in the Army and discovered a plot explaining what the mission went FUBAR. Very confusing. I get they will all leave the service - before it sounded like they might be court martial, and sign up with the Brotherhood. For a nurse Gabby fought like a warrior.
This whole story takes place in a forty eight hour period but some inconsistencies bothered me.

Colorado Conspiracy: Brotherhood Protectors Colorado: book 5 is by Elle James. Very good, short, exciting book with clean romance. Takes place on a dude ranch, The Lost Valley Ranch, near Fool’s Gold, Colorado near Colorado Springs. The ranch is owned by Gunny Tate; but basement of inn is rented by Brotherhood Protectors Colorado unit. They help Gunny with chores and The Watering Hole when not busy. Unit is just being formed with this series.

General Ryan didn’t want his daughter to settle for an enlisted man and discouraged the union. He went so far as to threaten to ruin Enzo’s career just as he is starting out. Gabby gives in and breaks off with Enzo. It is only after that that she finds out she is pregnant. Four years later, Enzo runs into General Ryan in the park where he is running. Suspenseful and intense with lots of actions and drama this is a story of sabotage, treason, loss, and greed but also a story of reunion and second chances. This story is easy flowing and suspenseful with some violence but, the darkness is balanced by the comradery of the 10th Special Forces team, the helpful and personable Brotherhood Protectors family, the actions of a strong and determined mother, and a heartwarming ending.
Nearing the time of his enlistment’s end and on edge because of a bad premonition concerning tomorrow’s mission, Army’s 10th Special Forces Sergeant Major Lorenzo “Enzo” Ramos is running the trails near Ft. Carson, Colorado where he has an unexpected and cryptic encounter with General James Ryan and his four-year-old grandson Jamie which increases Enzo’s preoccupation with and anger over the bad break up with the woman he has loved for five years, Veteran’s Administration Hospital nurse Gabrielle Ryan.

Another wonderful read from the very talented Elle James with its perfect combination of suspense and drama This is slightly different in that Enzo the hero of the story isn't actually joining the Brotherhood protectors as he is still an active duty Green Beret it is more a case that the brotherhood protectors help him.
Years earlier Lorenzo “Enzo” Ramos was devastated when the woman he loved dumped him in the most heartless of ways stating that he wasn't good enough for her and he has never gotten over it. Now he is heartbroken once again after losing a brother on his latest mission. Gabrielle “Gabby” Ryan was devastated when she had to break Enzo's heart but her hand was forced by her father a General what neither knew was that she was pregnant at the time. Now her father has been murdered and her son has been kidnapped and the only person who can help her is Enzo It will take all of the skills of Enzo's team and the Brotherhood Protectors to save Jamie and get to the bottom of what is happening. A true page turner! Although the characters in this novel enlist The Colorado Brotherhood Protectors group, Enzo and his team are not members. Another exciting book from one of my favorite authors, Elle James. This is her fifth book in the Brotherhood Protectors Colorado series. This is a powerful second chance romance. After coming back to Colorado after a failed mission and the loss of one of his teammates, Special Forces Green Beret Lorenzo “Enzo” Ramos meets back up with the only women he ever loved, Gabby Ryan. Unfortunately the meeting is due to the murder of her father and the kidnapping of her son Jamie. Enzo and his team want to help Gabby but when she finally breaks down and tells Enzo that he is Jamie’s father, he is more determined than ever to find his son. The mastermind of the crimes will do anything to get back the information that Gabby had in her possession. This story is fast-paced, dangerous and full of adventure but with a HEA ending. I recommend it highly. I was given an ARC of this book for my honest review.

This book gets your attention from the moment you open the book and keeps you reading until you are finished. Sergeant Major Lorenzo “Enzo” Ramos and the men of the 10th special forces are serving their country to keep everyone safe, but Enzo can’t seem to get past having his heart broken by the woman he loves to this day is devastating, but even though he can’t stop loving her, he can put everything on the line to protect his heart. When the worst thing happens, you must step in to help her no matter if it breaks you into, Enzo will give it his all and hope that finally he will be able to get back what the past has taken.
Being able to visit with the members of the Brotherhood Protectors as they join with Enzo’s team to find the woman and son, he loves makes a terrific story. Grab it, you won’t be sorry.

A fast paced second chance romance that can be read in one sitting.
I liked that the story grabbed my attention from the first pages and kept me riveted to the very end. There was a ton of action in this book, from Enzo and his team's mission to the combined effort with the Brotherhood Protectors.
There were a few things that surprised me. I couldn't understand why General Ryan did what he did knowing the level of danger involved in his discovery. Then I wondered why Gabby waited to tell the complete story to Enzo. Next thing I thought about, was anyone interested in what happened to the chip? Let's not forget poor JC. And, finally, I was surprised they didn't just tell Jamie the truth. Those were some of the major issues I noticed.

Whew! Colorado Conspiracy is a phenomenal romantic suspense by Elle James. This nail-biter is a well-written book populated with an outstanding cast of characters. This is a fairly quick read, perfect for those with limited reading time. Enzo and his team are grief-stricken after losing a team member on their last mission. Gabby is a nurse at the Veterans Hospital and lives with her father and son. When her father is murdered and her son missing she calls Enzo for help. Gabby and Enzo's story is loaded with drama, humor, sexy bits, action and suspense. I loved this book and look forward to my next book by Elle James. Colorado Conspiracy is book 5 of the Brotherhood Protectors Colorado Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

And a secret that would rock his world. That is what Enzo, our soldier hero, faces in Colorado Conspiracy, Book 5 of the Brotherhood Protectors Colorado Series.
When our heroine, Gabby, finds her father murdered and her son kidnapped, she desperately needs the help of her old flame, Enzo,(and some old friends:) to save the day. Old secrets tore them needlessly apart, and current ones could blow their world apart. I won't get more detailed because that would ruin the story, but this book is definitely a rollercoaster ride of adventure and emotional turmoil! It contains treason, espionage, murder and kidnapping. If they can survive these challenges, then Enzo and Gabby might just get a 2nd chance at a HEA.

When Enzo reaches out to Gabby after her dad is murdered, he doesn’t expect for her to agree to see him right away, since it’s been 5 years since she broke up with him. Gabby has her own secret to share with Enzo but first they have to save her son, Jamie, and find out who murdered her dad within a day. What she didn’t expect is have Enzo by her side along with his team mates and the Brotherhood Protectors in Colorado doing all they can to find Jamie and bring the responsible ones for her dad’s murder to justice.
A great read with some steam, suspense, betrayals, secrets and great characters. I liked these two and I LOVED that Enzo was not a man wh** after the break up. The story flowed nicely with no drama between the two and a great HEA.

It had been a difficult week so on late Friday when I saw there was an email to read and write a review of the new 'Colorado Conspiracy' book I could hardly wait to sit down and start reading the book. Colorado Conspiracy didn't disappointment me. I was drawn into the story from the first page and didn't want to put the book done until I finish the book. The story has mystery, action, brotherhood, second chances, heartache and of courage romance with happy ending. I recommend you grab your drink of choice, a throw, get comfortable on your favorite Chair, plenty of light and 'Colorado Conspiracy' book, then you too will be able to enjoy all of the activity that goes on within the book.

Colorado Conspiracy by Elle James is the fifth book in her Brotherhood Protectors Colorado series. This is a poignant second chance romance. The two main characters, Gabby Ryan and Enzo Ramos meet up again after five years when Gabby's father is killed and her son is kidnapped. Gabby broke off their relationship when her Army general father threatened to end Enzo's Army career if she didn't. This time a team of active duty special force soldiers teams up with members of the Colorado branch of the Brotherhood Protectors to find the kidnapped boy. The man behind the crimes is after something and he will do anything to get it. I liked all the action in this story. It's fast paced and flows really well. This is a great addition to the series.

Book 5, I have not read 1-4 and I was not lost. That being said I enjoyed book 5 so much that I want to go read books 1-4. Sigh as if my TBR pile needed help! We start with Enzo and his Special Forces Team headed out on a mission. A mission that goes horribly wrong. So much so I was surprised. When they are back in the states recouping he saves little boy from running in to the lake. Everything takes off from there, no holds bar full speed ahead non stop action. Some twisted people are in the world and we meet one here (closer to the end). Serving our country, losses, second chances, family, regrets, love, and evil. Fast paced with all the feels. So much betrayal
A slight change for the Colorado Brotherhood Protectors here as Enzo is not a new hire, but Enzo and his team slot in perfectly with the rest of the Colorado team....so we can always hope!
This second chance for Gabby and Enzo comes with heartbreak, but also the proof that life is short and you need to embrace it whilst you can. I love that they get a second chance, as the love never died, I also like that the General admitted he was wrong and gave his blessing, it makes them finding each other again so much sweeter.
From heartbreak and corruption comes hope, hope for a future together and the knowledge that those lost will never be forgotten. That they died heroes, righting the wrongs of others.

Enzo and his team have recently returned from a mission that had devastating consequences. When he learns that the father of the only woman he has ever loved has been killed he attempts to offer his condolences only to find out that the son he didn’t know he had has been abducted as well.
When Gabby ended her relationship with Enzo it wasn’t because she didn’t love him but because she did as his career was being threatened by her father. She knows that Enzo will be able to help her and her son but that means being truthful about the past.

This one is lucky it isn’t a 1 star lDoes anyone else feel a disconnect between all the books in the series. In the prior book to each one you meet the new characters or in this case, Hank talks about boing to speak to a team of Green Berets that are getting out. Then we get to the next book and there is no picking up where the last one left off and the timeline feels off.
I find I can’t like Gabby, I’m sure she is a good mum to Jamie but hello, your father is killed and your son taken but hey let’s get it on with the guy you haven’t seen in 5 years. Blah!!!! At lease she proves resourceful in trying to save herself and her son. The redeeming feature to get an extra star.
I’m not sure why I’m persisting with this series ‘they are progressively getting worst.

This book starts out with action when Enzo and his team are on a mission that goes wrong. After they get back and are on leave Enzo runs into the father of the woman he has loved and never gotten over. When Gabby's father is murdered and her son is kidnapped Enzo and his team along with the guys of the Colorado Brotherhood are there to help. When he finds out that he has a son and the General knew something that got him murdered they drop everything to help. This book has action, suspense, danger and second chances. Wonderful characters and a great addition to the Brotherhood Protectors Colorado.

The strange interaction between Enzo and the little boy at the start sets the tone for the whole book – you’re always slightly on edge, waiting, but not sure what you’re waiting for. The story moves at a blistering pace, and this is definitely a single-sitting read. It’s a great revisit to the Colorado Brotherhood Protectors and those characters, a fabulous insight into Enzo and Gabby and Gabby’s own strength, and a terrifying race to rescue Jamie. You can also imagine Jamie’s delight when he hears the truth about Enzo, and one sees that as part of his healing from the trauma. I love books that live on for me – and this one does.

OMG! Another FANTASTIC story by Elle! This story keeps you intrigued right from the first chapter! This story is basically a second chance romance story. Enzo and Gabby were in love five years previously but her father basically ended their relationship before Gabby found out she was pregnant. It gets intense when kids are involved. It's unfortunate that her father was killed but she was able to save her son with the help of two different teams. Once the danger passed, these three worked on their happily ever after! FANTASTIC job Elle! I would highly recommend this book!

This is book 5 in the Brotherhood Protectors Colorado series and it features Enzo and Gabby. When she broke up with him, she had no idea of her condition. Now 4 years later, she needs him to help her find her kidnapped 4 year old son. She was the love of his life and ripped his heart out 4 years ago. Will he finally get the answers he’s waited for after he rescues a little boy that looks EXACTLY like him?
Fantastic story line! Characters are top notch and you can really see their growth throughout the book. I love a well written military man and Elle James is a master! I can’t wait to read more!

Lots of fast paced action mixed in with some deep emotions makes Colorado Conspiracy a mesmerizing read. Enzo Ramos is at a crossroads after losing one of his teammates. Maybe it's time to move on but being in the Army and becoming a Green Beret is all he ever wanted with the exception of Gabby Ryan. He loved her and lost her. Gabby turns to Enzo because she has no 0lace else to go. Her life just got complicated and dangerous. Her son's life hangs in the balance but first she has a confession to make to Enzo. He has n9 time to be angry once he hears her out. He and his team have a murder to solve and a rescue to plan. Then he's going forward with the woman he never stopped loving.
