Meet Julia, a nine-year-old student who has been homeschooled by her parents. A new school year is about to begin and Julia will enter school for the very first time. Julia is afraid she will not make friends because of the way she speaks. Julia speaks with a stutter. Her words are sometimes broken which stops Julia from forming a complete sentence. Let’s take a journey with Julia as she embarks third grade.
As the child of a military member, Monica Robinson spent most of her life moving from state to state. Though some of the places she went to were beautiful, it didn’t help when making friends. With a vivid imagination, she began creating worlds that kept her entertained for hours. All grown up—and no longer moving around—Monica still loves to write, but instead of describing far away worlds, she likes meddling in the love lives of her characters.
She lives in the Puget Sound area of Washington with her husband and two children.
