1.0⭐️ NO. NO. NO!!! I don’t recall anything that said this was straight up erotic with no romance, no plot, nada!

The backdrop of the novella is this: Courtney is a lucky lottery winner—one billion dollars. Subsequently, he was involved in a horrific helicopter crash that he was piloting. As a result, he lost the use of his legs, and his fiancé was killed. His sister, Melanie, has hired Daphne (BW) as a home health aide to cook meals and hopefully pull Courtney from his depressive state. Daphne is required to stay in the mansion for a few weeks while Melanie is out of town.

After Daphne has been on the job for 3 days, incredulously, the story jumps the shark. It goes downhill faster than a runaway train. Further, there are some unrelated, and extraneous aspects of the story that are frankly quite baffling. What is the purpose for including these dangling threads? Still scratching my head.

I prefer to make informed decisions about books I read. Accordingly, I would have preferred a more descriptive synopsis about the novella and an indication that it is erotic.

I can only recommend this book if a reader is primarily looking for titillation. It’s a super quick read, one I really wish I’d skipped.

What?

Not a bad story just really was all over the place. Lines were crossed and descriptions didn't fully make sense. It seems like this authors short story lack depth and real connection. Nothing against quick reads but it's not romance. So looks focused and sexual from jump. Just not a complete story for me. Some may enjoy the superficial vibe.

This was one of those books that once you got into the characters and narrative, you didn't want to be interrupted for anything. Wonderful characters, easy narrative, excellent plot, and story arch.

Fractured

Story doesn’t flow very well. Formatting throughout was awful. Sentences would suddenly end and start on a different line or in a new paragraph.

This is the 6th book in the (Billionaires For Black Girls Series) with a hero and heroine both needing each other. This is a short novella with awesome characters, easy read, fast paced, steamy, sexy hero and heroine, drama and friend wanting to be more than a friend all the makings of a great read.

Courtney is billionaire who won the lottery and was just living large until he meets a woman he want to settle down with. Courtney was out flying in his helicopter with his fiancée’ and the copter goes down and catches fire. Courtney is left with a dead fiancée and paralyzed from the waist down and has become a hermit, not talking to anyone and doesn’t want to be bother with anyone. Daphne is a home health aide and has her own set of problems but she is hired by Courtney’s sister to watch him for 2 weeks. Courtney is just a hot mess but he is so lovable and Daphne gets him to open up but she had a couple days of pure hell from Courtney. As time goes on the two are getting along very well and have made a true love connect.

I really enjoy Stacy-Deanne's quick and heart felt romances. Her books always contain interesting people with great backstories. Courtney won the lottery and was a billionaire. His life should have been blissful. Unfortunately, it only took one accident to take away many of the reasons he has come to enjoy life. A helicopter accident took away both his fiance and his ability to walk. His sister hired a home care worker to help him navigate his environment. Daphne agrees to work for Courtney and while she has a positive outlook she is also grappling with the pain of loss just like Courtney. Can these two broken people make each other whole? Can they fill in the missing places? Stacy-Deanne is able to create great characters and well developed pathos and passion in short, easily digested stories.

This book was not what I expected! Courtney was in a wheelchair due an terrible helicopter accident that took the life of his fiancé and left him paralyzed from the waist down. He was so withdrawn he run anyone who came to help off. His sister was determined to help him. She hired a woman named Daphne to be his caretaker while his sister was gone. Daphne has handled a lot with patients and was used to anything. Daphne wanted to get to know Courtney but he tried his usual things to make people leave. Courtney found himself wanting Daphne. Things shifted and they found they wanted each other. She had awaken something in him he thought was gone a long time ago. Good book.

This is so sweet and heart breaking at the same time Courtney got in a terrible accident lost his girlfriend and is now in a wheel chair . Daphne got hired by Courtney sister to take care of him of two weeks . Can Daphne bring life back in Courtney eyes to have love again .

Beyond grief

This has been an eye opening and heart melting short read. Billionaire Broken is truly a short read that will bring you closure and love all in one.

Truly enjoyed reading this book and the ENTIRE Series.

Such a sweet and heartwarming romance. The story pulls you in and keeps you turning the pages waiting to find out what happens next. You can't help but fall in love with the characters as you get to know them with every turn of the page. Highly recommend.

Most of the stories in this series are very very quick reads...just minimal novellas to past some time from reading longer stories. I thought this was just an okay quickie that gave me some time to relax over the weekend. Nice story.

This book is well written in terms of grammar, punctuation etc but it’s just the fact that one minute the MMC (Courtney) and the FMC (Daphne) are hating each other and being difficult to them performing sexual acts on each other the next minute.
