My one giant step for mankind...ends in a crash landing. Go figure.
When my friends and I are sucked into another galaxy, I'm sure we're about to die. But when I wake up I'm all alone on a desert planet. Or so I think.
Turns out there's a giant, hunky alien warrior right there with me.
Doshax rescues me from the gruesome rodents and lizards hunting us and finds food for me to eat. He even builds me a shelter. I could get used to this!
But I need to find my friends. And figure out how to get home. He needs to find his own squadron. Once he does, we'll go our separate ways.
Just one problem: I don't want to leave Doshax.
His kisses are hot enough to burn me up inside, and when he claims me I could explode with desire. But something is holding Doshax back. He's claimed my body, but I'm determined to have his heart.
How can I convince my alien warrior that I should be his mate?
This was a good alien romance. A bit different than most. In this one, both the alien Hero (Doshax) and the heroine (Olivia) crash landed on a planet called Yazell. The planet was kind of a Bermuda Triangle type planet where a lot of spaceships crashed and weird things happened, like the electronics didn’t work and people just disappeared out of nowhere. I liked it because it was different.
The audiobook was narrated in dual points of view by virtual voice, which is a computer generated narration. It was a male voice which I liked. Since it is a computer, it is a bit stilted, but it was not bad.
Fun read! I enjoyed the characters and how the relationship unfolded. Olivia and Doshax were a good match and I'm excited to find out what happens next with the mysterious alien planet.
An interesting premise, an alien Bermuda triangle!
***** Rating: 3 stars Steam: 2 flames Genre: Alien Romance ***** When Olivia and her friends embark on a booze cruise, they have no idea their lives are about to change. Suddenly, they are on a strange planet, one of them is injured and it looks like the crew is dead.
Doshax, protector, handsome, alien; is a commander in his alien military and has been chasing down pirates when his ship experiences strange disturbances, the next thing you know he and his crew have crash landed on a strange alien planet. As he searches for food, water, and the pirates he discovers that maybe those tales his grandfather used to tell about a strange alien planet may not just be made up stories. He also discovers a strange biped...a very attractive biped.
Olivia is strong and feisty. When her ship crashes, she leaves the ship to look for provisions for her and her friends, when she is attacked by alien rodents, she is surprised to be rescued by a large alien male who now seems to feel it's his duty to protect her.
This book was entertaining and I liked Oliva and Doshax. I had a harder time connecting with Olivia's friends, Olivia's friends seemed more like passive aggressive bullies than friends.
I am interested to see where the story goes as the disappearances and the loss of tech is intriguing. I will give book 2 a read and see where the story goes.
Olivia Brown and her friends Emma, Miranda, Ava went on a booze cruise to the moon and all was going great until it all fell apart and they crash landed. Doshax is so attracted to this female that all his spikes on his body stand up take notice and that only happens when they meet there fated mate but how can that be when he doesn’t even know what species she is or even her name. This is a quick and entertaining read about a human woman who along with 3 of her friends crash land at on an unknown and uninhabited planet. She runs into an alien male who also crash landed and is seeking his squadron teammates and the alien pirates who all also crash landed on this unusual planet.
The story is well written, fast paced and then it just stops without resolving the mystery of the alien planet - what caused so many space ships to crash land? Where have the others disappeared to and how? What is preventing most of the technical equipment from working?
Olivia and Doshzar meet on this strange Orange planet and aren’t able to communicate verbally for the first 2 days as they roam the land. Some funny miscommunication takes place - she even thought he intended to eat her leg like a piece of chicken at one point based on his charade like gestures. Their relationship progresses at light speed, from alien strangers to a strong physical attraction and some steamy moments to forever love. The characters are fun, her friends who she went on the booze cruise with are whinny and irritating. I wish some indication was given whether the author intends to write/release another book to pick up the story where this book cut off. I’m not a big fan of cliffhangers, but I can deal With them if I know going in that’s what to expect and know another book is in the works even if it’s months down the road. Stopping a book like this one does is a huge pet peeve of mine.
I enjoyed the writing, characters and storyline.

I have to say I love that Olivia is just a normal girl trying to make the best of situation when she finds herself on a crashed planet. She knows that she has no survival skills yet she looks to find the basics for her and her friends. One was injured in the crash and had to be put in a medical pod while the others don't seem to be able to do much other than panic. Pulling up her big-girl pants Oliva goes to see what she can find for them? Doshax is a commander in the military and he is trying to locate the pirates who killed his family. He thinks he has them when all of a sudden his ship and all the others around him, pirate and milltray alike are dropping out of the skies completely unresponsive. He heards tales of such things when young but always discounted then as just horror stories to frighten youngsters into being good. He abandons his ship, which is useless to him now anyway and looks for water and food. There he see this strange female of an unknown species and all control over anything else goes to pot for him. She is all he sees and he has no idea what is happening to him. he has his missions to find his team and destroy the pirates but then there she is! What's a commander to do?? I loved this book. Oliva, without being rude, is miss average and Doshax is a trained commander. Love how well they work together and the descriptions of Yazell. It's like the Bermuda Triangle in planet form. Fantastic!
This is a fast-paced fun story line about Olivia Brown and three friends, Emma, Miranda, and Ava, who decided to join a booze cruise to the moon. Unfortunately, a mysterious planet appears and they crash on the uninhabited planet. Olivia is exploring when rat-like critters attack her and an alien named Doshax rescues her. His body reacts to indicate she is his mate, which is confusing since he doesn’t even know what species she is. He has to find the rest of his team, as well as the pirates that Doshax had been chasing who crashed as well. So there will be plenty of activity going on while Doshax and Olivia try to figure out how to understand each other. Will the two of them do anything about their “mate” situation? Will Doshax be able to take the women off the planet, or will the power continue to fluctuate and keep them on the planet?
This is a cute story. I look forward to see what else is coming, and I hope we get some answers about the mysterious planet.
MYSTERY PLANET This story drew me in and I had to read it all. Danger, mystery and insta-love are all in here. I'm not happy it stopped the way it did but I will be looking for the continuation. Olivia and her friends booked a Booze Cruise to the moon. She was their doormat and wouldn't stand up to them. They end up crashing and have no help. Olivia decides to try to find water and help. Ending up alone she pushes herself. They weren't the only ones that crashed... Doshax is a military commander chasing pirates. He and his men were in different ships that all crashed in different places. He sets off to find water and his men. He comes upon Olivia and saves her life. He begins to suspect this may be the the planet he has heard horror stories about...Yazell. Will they find their friends and will rescue come?... To be continued...

"This was no time to start believing ghost stories for younglings."
Olivia and her girlfriends are having the equivalent of a girls weekend in Vegas... but they live in a time of Space Elevators and booze cruises to the Moon.
Doshax thought there could be nothing worse than every ship in his squadron simultaneously losing power and crashing... then he met a human woman decked out for an evening clubbing... and when he began to suspect where they'd all crashed he knew they were in trouble.
This done in one Kindle Unlimited quick read does a lot of interesting world building, feels like it has planted a few hints that something is going on with Miranda, and has me very curious to unravel the mystery of this planet, and whether or not it is their new home.
Olivia and her friends are on a cruise ship going to the moon suddenly there is a green mist outside and everyone passes out. Doshax is the commander of a fleet of ships who look out for pirates he works for the IGS he and his ships are surrounding the pirate ships suddenly his ship loses power and he is going to crash onto a planet that shouldn’t be there his men and the pirates are all going to crash on that planet as well. There’s action, adventure, suspense, danger, passion and so much more in this alien sci-fi romance, I loved this story it’s a fantastic read and I highly recommend this book.
The first book in the Planet Yazell Survival series this is a new Author to me and it looks like this is her debut story. The story is well written with a very good storyline, there is suspense, drama, danger, spaceships of Earthlings, Kuh Mow Dow warriors, and pirates crashing on a supposedly uninhabited planet, and romance. I want to read the next book. This is human Olivia Brown and Commander Doshax's story mainly. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Oh yay! A fantastic new book from a new author. Really enjoyed this and I didn't skip any pages as I have started doing lately with alot of books written in the same style and genre. A keeper and I'm dying for the next one.
It left us on a cliff hanger, but I did enjoy the story and the characters. If there is any additional books for continuation I would give them a read.
