Pen Pals

Rate this book
It was all fun & games until we were given a pen pal with a rival school. The pranks between schools had escalated. Our Principal's solution? Pen Pals to show us we aren't that different after all. If I wanted to keep my place on the team, I had to write to some cheerleaders from the other team.

Discovering my pen pal, Adrian, was a guy from the football team and not a cheerleader was an interesting twist I didn't see coming. He wasn't so bad on paper.

I didn't expect to also fall for our rival schools' cocky yet charming quarterback, Jackson. I had sworn off dating, especially quarterbacks. Both were off-limits if I wanted to keep the peace at home and get out of here as soon as possible.

Could rivals become friends or more?

I love YA books. I love romances. This one was very fun. QB and cheerleader from rival schools? Plus, notes? And a case of mistaken identity? 👌 It had language, crude jokes and goes a lot closer to explicit than I typically read. (But it is closed door.) It also has humor and banter and emotions. So I don't know. Do what you will with that information. I don't know if I'll let my daughter read it when she's a teen but I read it so, I'm confusing. 😅
So basically, I like it. But know that the content is not the same as most that I share. I think that's all.

Cute little read

I should start by saying YA isn't usually my thing... I prefer dark, bully, RH themed books. BUT... This gem caught my eye and I'm really pleased it did.

Drew and Adrian rival schools, misunderstanding and typical fake friends. I liked their journey, like the fact the author touched on subjects that are real without going into detail.

Adrian, has hidden depth beneath his cocky sawg. Drew, head cheerleader with a NON perfect homelife.

Sweet read, made a change and would recommend
