another K-pop loving, island girl finds her man

I loved Cole, he’s literally the strong, silent type….broody, alpha, but when he speaks its impactful. Enter Latoya, the other K-Pop loving member of the trio who binge watch K-Pop. Yes, I had to look that up…. 😆

Latoya’s character, while good hearted, was a disappointment. She was insecure, then secure, immature in life matters, but mature in her profession…..until she wasn’t.

I still rated this fairly high because I loved Cole and the sub characters.

Cole and LaToya

I really enjoyed the story which was filled with heartfelt moments in the care of foster children and the development of family connections. I liked the hero Cole who was a quiet man, but was truly committed to Latoya in the story. What didn't work for me along the Ex theme, was Cole's brother being Latoya's ex although they had never been on a date together. They never once went out with one another, but she considered him an ex. Perhaps conversation and texting counts as a relationship in younger generations, but it doesn't at all in later ones, so that ex aspect seemed very stretched to me for the series theme to make it work in this second book of the series. That was the biggest drawback, but aside from that, this is a good tale.

This book was amazing. Latoya is a social worker that was ghosted by a guy (Leon). While waiting for Leon his brother Cole warned her about his brother but fell in love with her immediately. Three months had pasted since Latoya saw Cole or heard from Leon when she saw both of them again as a social worker trying to place a foster child in the care of their parents. Cole and Latoya experience trials and tribulations but come together in the end.

What makes this book special is, it shows when a woman gets hurt how her heart is guarded until the next man can prove is worth to her. Definitely a great book. On to book 3.

Sweet story, gorgeous romantic setting. The heroine was into K-pop so there was even a cute scene where the hero runs after the heroine during a storm to walk with her under his umbrella, a staple in K-dramas. The scenario and plot were very creative and fit perfectly with the characters and their wounds--especially the hero as he was adopted as a child. However, one thing that irked me a bit is how unethical the heroine was as a social worker. There are rules in place for a reason. This book is part of a 3 or 4 book series, I didn't read the first one, but based on the teaser provided in this book, I'll def put the next title on my to-read list.

I liked the dynamics between Cole and Latoya. I loved his grouchy, protective nature and I love that Latoya did not fall for Leon again. She might have been filled once but she wasn't fooled twice. I still did not understand why Leon dumped her nor his hangup with black women, but it was a good way of making him the villian but not in a way that one wanted him harm. Cole is that yummy type of guy, at least for me. He is straight forward, puts other people before himself and makes the idea of carrying his kids a real turn on.

I really enjoyed this story and the characters were very believable! The story line was very intense but believable! I loved the chemistry between Cole and Latoya it was smoking hot 🔥! I really like how the author dealt with the issues of adoption and child neglect. This is a book I would read again and recommend to my fellow romance readers! The author did a really awesome job! 👌

Cole and Latoya -Best Swap ever

Wow! I loved this book. Leon was a jerk because he always had Cole and Cole always protected and looked out for him. Leon felt HE was a woman’s gift. Cole was quiet and reserved but he knew what he wanted and that was Latoya. When Leon pulled his stunt and disced Latoya, Cole was there. It took her a minute to get over her insecurities after Leon but she finally saw Cole for the sincere, not playing true love that he was.

Hidden feelings

Once again Nia didn't disappoint. This story was touching and refreshing. Cole and Toya story was different. There was a little bit of everything. Toya ex was double bag and he didn't deserve her. I fell in love with the chra tears. I can't wait for the next installment in the series.

This by far is the best book. I laughed in this one. Loved Cole and Toya.. Another couple with real love. Couldn't put this one down. Only thing, I wish cover character looked like Cole. Blonde guy is not Cole. I don't know if I can get with Yolanda story. I don't have anything for TayTays dad. On to the next!

Great characters both have big hearts and he definitely knows what he wants. Not sure why she clammed up on him but this was very serious with some drama and fun. Although this does fall short on the romance side, it's still entertaining and heartwarming. Didn't really care for the love-triangle situation.

I have read a few books by this author and I can honestly say this was my least favorite. The storyline was thin and not that interesting. There was no real chemistry between Cole and Latoya...it just felt faked and forced for a HEA

Nia does not disappoint. Latoya and Cole were well fleshed out and enjoyable as a couple. I enjoyed their chemistry and Cole very straightforward manner. He was a big ole teddy bear and Latoya was so relatable. I would recommend this book.
