Saige Bennett has never been the kind of person to make decisions that affected others. And then an alien orb dropped into the ocean close enough to her friend’s boat to capsize the vessel and drown her friends. Saige had somehow miraculously survived the devastating event. But things have changed for her. After waking up in the hospital with no lucid memories of the rescue, Saige has now stopped sleeping at all. She doesn’t need to eat, which is way beyond normal and outside her comfort zone. Rather than share it with others, Saige keeps the changes to herself. That is, until her sister realizes that Saige also becomes iridescent in the dark. Dr. Addison Bennett loves her work as a microbiologist, but she learns her family means much more to her than dedication to finding a cure for life-threatening diseases. When Addison learns of her sister’s near-death experience, it is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to make sure her family knows Addison loves them. But when her sister suddenly starts glowing in the dark, Addison tries to use science to find out what exactly happened to her sister while in the deep ocean. Zhao Yong, a scientist and astronaut, believes the arrival of the Shulon is directly associated with the destruction of the lunar bases. She believes whatever had infected the crew of Harmony and Prosperity and caused the clandestine stations ruin could have made it back to Earth. When Shulon representatives explain the secrets of the universe to the world, no one anticipates that humanity’s biggest threat isn’t coming from outer space. It was already here on Earth.
The adventure continues for the Bennetts, Zhao Yong, and the people of Earth. After being rescued from captivity by rebel forces in Africa, oldeshttps://www.goodreads.com/group?ref=n... sister Addison returns home to see her sister has been changed radically after her rescue from the Atlantic when she and her friends were capsized by one of the mysterious spheres that have surrounded the planet. Meanwhile Zhao Yong is back on Earth, after escaping the destruction of China's secret installation on Luna's dark side, to find the planet is surrounded by hundreds of alien spheres. Why are they there, what are their intentions and is there a connection between their arrival and the destruction on the Moon, between their arrival and the changes in Saige? I found myself staying up all night reading to so I find out what the answers would be, only to be left with more questions, even so I recommend reading this book because as they used to say on the old serials, the adventure continues...and I for one will be there to find out what happens next, please join me.
The interaction of the people, events and lives of Earth and beyond. Fear and the unknown make us all very tense and wary of one another. The sphere’s are just sitting there where we can constantly see them. What will they do? Have they really come in peace? Meanwhile, the people go about their lives with their own problems. Saige and her friends are dealing with her near death experience in different ways. Addison has her own problems, and then there is Zhao. Then those from the spear make an announcement. They show their technical abilities are far superior to those we have. They tell us why they want to help us. Will our governments listen? Interesting book. Lots of thinking to do with each of the characters. Read to open your mind to different concepts.
Saige is a young woman who has been through a drama and she is not sure exactly what happened to her but she knows that she is different because she is not sleeping or eating. Her sister Addison is a scientist who is trying to figure out what is going on with her sister. Meanwhile, there is an alien invasion taking place and Saige has powers she cannot explain but she protects her sister and the Sargent from being murdered while their at sea but she falls overboard from her own wounds and Addison cannot save her. Drama, suspense, mystery, intrigue. Book 2. I would recommend reading book 1 first. I read an ARC via BookFunnel without obligation. I volunteered an honest review.

Saige comes back from death after drowning with strange powers.Zhao an Chinese astronaut returns to Earth after witnesses the parasites. The Shulon say that there will be a solar blast that will return Earth 's people to a lower level making all communications obsolete. However; the Hania are a worse threat because no one knows who may have been infected.2 Chinese astronauts are returning to Earth but Zhao believes they may have been infected. But can she warn anyone and make them believe the danger.Well worth reading.
A world in chaos trying to put what is disorganized, back to organized and normal. Sounds familiar with today's world which is what makes this read relatable and as a reader makes you realize that if more people read books like these that perhaps they could see the real world in a new light and find solutions like the characters in this book. WE have a lot to learn from authors like Rory B. Bryne and their imaginations because it is in imagination that the real world evolves.
The aliens are here! This gripping sci-fi thriller keeps you guessing. As humanity grapples with the information transferred from the aliens and governments with the need to work together with transparency and integrity in order to survive there are other facets at play that may effect the outcome. The question remains - are the aliens really as friendly as they purport to be? I love the characters in the book. I received an ARC and this is my honest review.
I feel this book might have been able to be written as a single larger book including the prequel and 2 other books. As a standalone book it's missing too much, leaving too many questions, had no ending, and could have been a book within a volume. With that aside, it has a good story and is an interesting read with quite a bit of theory.
Climate change, pandemics, fatal disease, violence and war, government and individual dissension: can Humanity unite to accept Peace in the face of the inexplicable (and mostly silent) Alien presence?
This is a great second story in a first contact series. Saige Bennett has changed since being pulled from the water after being swamped by one of the alien globes, but is it to her betterment? I can't wait to see where the next book takes things.
