Once upon a time, two monarchs from different kingdoms decide to switch their adult daughters with the hope of curbing their inherent character flaws.
Nkoyo, princess of Efik Kingdom, is impetuously problematic, spoilt, and unruly. Wofai, princess of Atam Kingdom, feels easily threatened and has temper issues. So, she screams as a way of expressing her anger.
Will this ridiculous plan save two princesses from themselves?
Emem Bassey loves romance in all its forms. She writes what she terms a hybrid romance - love stories with bits and pieces of other genres. All her stories carry plus size heroines and she staunchly believes the world is filled with tragedy, so she writes to entertain and lighten hearts. Emem lives at Uyo, Akwa Ibom State and is basically a ghost to her neighbors.
This book was a pleasant surprise. I don't read a lot of romcoms but I found myself giggling and laughing aloud at the antics of the characters in this modern, princess-swap, fairy-tale romance set in Nigeria. Come for the romance, stay for the hilarity. Thank me later.
I don’t think I’ve ever read a book like this. The narration was different. A third person narrative of 2 characters, almost like an auditory hallucination.
I enjoyed this story because it made me laugh out a few times If you like romcoms set in Nigeria, you’ll enjoy this.
A delightful story that entertained. Two women overcame their issues with the help of their parents. I really enjoyed reading about both of their experiences and their journey to love.
