Elias Ansiri failed to prevent a war. When that happened, he swore not to let the coming battles change him.He failed at that, too.The war against Tereus rages on, swift and bloody. A year ago, assassination and cold-blooded betrayal would have been unthinkable. But, compared to tens of thousands of lives, how much can one man’s morals really matter? And yet, even once the war concludes, the difficult choices continue. And Elias’ choices, even the insignificant ones, just might shape the Isles for centuries to come.***Conqueror of Isles 3 contains violence, adult content, and harem elements. It is intended for discerning readers***
This is book three of the series. It actually reads just fine as a standalone. All the essential bits are covered early on.
This is a light fantasy story which kind of reads like an RPG, but without the game elements. The story is pretty good with an intriguing setting and and easy enough to follow plot. My only real issue with the story is the characters remain a bit flat, but we have had some development which is a good thing. We do get plenty of action and steam which is always fun. Overall, a relaxing light read.
