I Am The One. This series is very good. I enjoyed this book. The characters are real and the drama Claudia is suffering through is crazy. Claudia thinks back to a time when things went bad. She wanted to get back at her boyfriend for neglecting her, but started a multiple of lies that causes her more pain than the boyfriend.
Claudia is a woman in search of her dream man and is demoralized by it in spite of her zealous faith in God. The least redeeming aspect of her personality is her inability to seek a righteous path for herself. Instead, she has a one-night stand with an old acquaintance in order to make her current boyfriend jealous. This plan backfires, though, because the boyfriend doesn't even notice. The incidents that later ensue are catastrophic, as Claudia permits the one-night stand to betray her and her boyfriend to beat her unmercifully because she had the temerity to sell some expensive jewelry that he had given to her as gifts. Such weakness in Claudia was only exacerbated when she allowed her boyfriend to escape criminal punishment for his vicious and unrepentant attack. SMH! 🙄
This journey for Claudia will be a lengthy process. Poor baby, she was the ideal target/prey: isolated from her family🚩; sole dependency on him🚩; devalued her career🚩; discredited her faith 🚩; appealed to her vulnerabilities🚩; love bomb extraordinaire 🚩etc. 😤. Her world is/was consumed by Darius’ lies, master manipulation, identity ignorance & no security in her faith & knowledge of Christ. No worries, help is already dispatched and on its …with three (3) Devine appointments, two financial blessings & one confirmation🙌🏾‼️The transformation has begun😊‼️…Boot🥾 on the ground …🎶”This Means War” by Pastor Charles Jenkins & Fellowship Chicago 🎶‼️
Today, I'm just reading the series one-book at a time. This is such a good series. Claudia could be any one of us as we suffer break-ups and heartaches in our hope to be in a secure and solid relationship. Claudia has so much to overcome, but she is in dire need of a healing for the awful heartbreak she is going thru of being in a 15 year relationship with a total jerk.
How I wish every woman going through an abusive relationship would read this series and run! This book had me so upset that my heart rate went up. I’ve never been in an abusive relationship and I can’t understand how a person can love someone so much they blame themselves for abuse 😞
I really enjoyed reading this book!! I love this series and this particular book gives great guidance on moving forward from a difficult break up. I definitely look forward to reading book 5!!
I enjoy the short stories each with its own drama. She knows just hot to keep you coming back for more. So.much of what happens to women in relationships comes up and this is a Christian woman's perspective that is refreshing and helpful!
Your books are so easy to read. They are free flowing, yet profound. I am a Christian and Divorced. The scriptures are so helping in keeping me focused as I move forward into a new relationship. I love these books. Keep them coming.
