Australian Romantic Suspense Author, Nyssa Kathryn, is a passionate reader and writer of all things romance. Living in South Australia with her hubby and daughter, when she's not spending time with the family, she's either plotting her next story or got her head stuck in a book.
The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: 🖤💙❤️💜 Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥 Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙 World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍 Character development: 😚☹️🥹😉 Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙 Narration type: Dual Narration
The heroine:Samantha - she was a biomedical engineer with a PhD in physics who thought she was working for a top-secret government project when things about the project and her boss Hylar didn’t make sense to her. She had gotten her best friend Tori involved, and Tori was nearly murdered. Samantha was able to destroy her work on a microchip that could be implanted in someone’s brain and used to control that person, but Hylar and his goons had beaten and tortured her, then Tori and Tori’s boyfriend Oliver to get her to remake the chip. That was when Olivers SEAL team came in to rescue them. Though Samantha wasn’t rescued, she was taken again.
The Hero:Kye - he is a former Navy SEAL who, along with his SEAL teammates, was part of Project Arma and was given drugs without his consent that changed his DNA, making him stronger, faster and with other enhanced abilities. He and his former teammates own a company called Marble Protection in Marble Falls. When they fought in the final battle with their former commander Hylar who was behind everything that was done to them, they were able to kill Hylar, but his right-hand man, Carter got away and not long after that, Kye was taken captive.
The Story: Kye and Samantha were held in a possible former CIA black site, in cells next to each other. Each day Samantha was taken into a small lab to recreate the microchip and remote controller that would allow Carter and whomever he was working with to control any number of enhanced and/or human soldiers. One day while in the lab, Samantha overheard a woman giving Carter orders to make sure Samantha finished her work quickly.
This was a pretty good story, though it seems like each time the team gets rid of their main enemy, another pops up in their place. This time, all they know about the enemy is that it is a woman, so they don’t much of a choice but to wait for that woman to make another move and make herself known. I also liked the storyline about Samantha’s PTSD and nightmares. There is another side story about a reporter bothering Samantha about the guys.
This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Ramona Master and Gideon Frost. These two narrators also did the voices in the first book from this series but haven’t done any since. I like both of their voices and they both sounded very natural. Though neither were very good at doing different voices for different characters.
Holy Cow!! What a powerful way to end this series. At least with this team.I’m happy to say the other team is coming and I know there stories will be just as great as these have been. Me. Kathryn never writes a book that’s not full of romance and intrigue.
“You’re so beautiful. A sunrise that most people only get for a couple of minutes every day…I get every second I’m with you.”
Kye and Samantha are still in a sticky situation at the beginning of this story. The evil has not completely been destroyed.
Sam was tricked into developing technology that the bad guys want to use for there own powerful purpose.
Kye is the last single team member and he’s ok with that until he and Sam are thrown together.
She wasn’t just sunshine. She was every radiant thing of beauty on the damn planet.
There were some shocking surprises that came to light that I sure never saw coming. Just another reason I can’t get enough of this author.
I must say, the twists in this book were NOT any that I saw coming! Kyle and Samantha went through so much together, only to find that the danger isn’t gone. In fact, it’s much closer than anyone could’ve possibly anticipated. And while this is the end of the Arma series, it’s definitely not the end of this group of men or the other men who have teamed up with them along the way. In fact, the very last page of this series already has me wanting to beg for Logan’s story sooner, rather than later!
I remain amazed by how well this author manages to weave tales of mystery, danger, camaraderie, love, and just enough of a “what the what” element to keep readers guessing. Not one single story has felt stale or tired or repetitive, and every new danger or question after an answer or two are found only keep me hooked and absolutely invested in these men. So yeah, I’m a little sad to see the last of this series, but I wholeheartedly look forward to the next one because it’s sure to be just as wonderful, if not more so!
I was absolutely mind blown with all the twists at the end of this book. I honestly didnt see it coming and I kept thinking of who it can be. I actually yelled what the heck* Was so shocked. AND THEN another shocker at very end. I just really enjoyed this book. The whole series was amazing and it was a great way to end it and I look forward to following Logan and his team. This is a high recommend read for those who like fiercely loyal men who would go hard for their loved ones.
Kye and Samantha have been in horrible situations and it’s not getting looking any better for them currently but it’s also the main reason I loved Samantha, she still has hope and happiness even given the cards she’s been dealt. Such a great story and these two will definitely tug at your emotions
Well Loves, it's finally happened. It's over. I find myself equal parts excited for what the author does next and incredibly sad that I'm going to have to let these guys go.
𝐋𝐞𝐭'𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤. Let me start this review by quickly saying this "𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭!" 𝘈𝘯𝘥 "𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘵. . . 𝘓𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵!!"
Now no spoilers, so you'll have no idea what I mean by that unless you read the book
Anyway. . . This series has been incredible from start to finish. With twist and turns that have had me scream 𝘕𝘖! At my kindle more than once. It is action packed and full of heat and heart.
Kye and Samantha's story did not disappoint in the slightest. We pick up where Olivers books ends, with Kye captured. Skipping ahead a little in time we get to see the beautiful bond that has grown between him and Samantha despite their surroundings.
The book is filled with action, unexpected surprises, twist and turns that will make you gasp and stacked full of heart that will make you swoon. The passion between these two is 𝘏.𝘖.𝘛 and I guarantee you'll feel it in your toes.
I will miss this group of characters and hope they make a showing in the authors new series.
Outstanding Story, Series & Narration🎧 Kye Project Arma, Book 8 By: Nyssa Kathryn Narrated by: Ramona Master, Gideon Frost
Wow, Nyssa Kathryn delivers an outstanding conclusion to her “Project Arma” series, and I loved everything about it, from her wonderful writing style to the fabulous characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narration who brings it all to life from the pages to your ears. Each book in this series is as amazing as the next, but it is best to enjoy the books in the order written to get the most out of the world building and the Project Arma storyline that runs throughout the series. This last book is Kye Hade and Samantha Jacob’s story and, like the previous books, it is a remarkable story. Kye, the last single man of the team, the one who vowed to remain a bachelor has finally found his other half. The team thought they were going to put Project Arma behind them, except one got away and he took Samantha with him. Hylar fooled Samantha, thinking the microchip she was creating was for the good of the people, except that was not Hylar’s intentions. She realized this too late, and regretted that she got her friend Tori caught up in the mess, too. But now she is at the hands of another evil monster, Carter, and he wants her to finish what she started and Kye is going to be the one they tested her creation on. Kye and Samantha form a bond while in captivity and he is certain he will get them out of their predicament. And they finally get out with the help of the quick thinking and fearless Samantha. But they know there is at least one more person involved in Project Arma out there. Samantha did not see this mystery person, only heard her voice, and holy moly, when that person turns up in Marble Falls, I can honestly say I never saw that one coming. What an exciting ending, and with every great ending there is a great new beginning and a new series, Blue Halo. Nessa Kathryn, thank you for this amazing story and series.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fantastic narration, Ramona Master and Gideon Frost did an amazing job bringing these characters and story to life. They understood the characters they were portraying, giving each a voice that suited them and was believable in every role they played. Master nailed it as Samantha, grasping all sides of her personality, from her caring side to her fierce side, and Frost did the same for Kye, playing the perfectly protective, sometimes possessive alpha. Both were fabulous performing the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and had you feeling each one of them. These talented and versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another amazing listen.
I loved this one. Of course anything with big beautiful strong men kicking ass is good.
Samantha is a science geek. Recruited by Hylar to make microchips to control the men with altered DNA. When she finds out the truth of how they will be used she tries to destroy her work and run for safety.
In captivity with her is Kye who has been captured. Kye and Samantha have to escape and make it back to Kye's team. They need to eliminate the threats so they can be free.
Samantha and Kye have a sweet love story but I had a problem with the cave scene if you are that dirty and running for your life I do not think that would really happen but these are fantasy so there you go.
Sometimes it’s in the depths of hell, that one finds their angel. Samantha Jacobs thought she was aiding her government. She believed the chip she created, the one that could change the world, would be used for the good of mankind. But it was all a lie…and she discovered the truth too late. Now, Samantha will suffer dearly for her mistake. Former SEAL Kye Hade has been hunting the people behind Project Arma for years. He never expected to fall back into their hands, waking in a cage alongside a beautiful, brainy woman. The enemy wants the unthinkable—and the clock is ticking. Freedom won’t come without a fight, but when your rivals have proven they don’t die easily, Kye and Samantha might just pay the ultimate price.
𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄
Are they doomed to be forever seen as prey and tool …
The previous book left us quite hanging high with an peak in Kye’s new captivity. So like many, I was really wondering about this story, the last for this series.
Kye is a charmer, a ladies man with no real will to settle down. Yet a few days of forced proximity with a woman who embodies everything he loves in women, courage, resilience, wits and resourcefulness, have him rethink everything he thought he expected from life. Samantha has been living in hell since she understood she was not working for the government but instead with a madman, she tried to rectify her errors but she is at the end of her wits, torn between what is right and wrong and how to save Kye from impeding doom.
Impossible to say more without revealing the last turn of events, but this final book has everything I have come to love in the author’s narrative, strong but flawed heroes, steam and actions, a close knitted surrounding and twists and turns to keep the reader on edge. 5 stars
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 onscreen lovemaking scenes
I have been granted an advance copy by the author, here is my true and unbiased opinion.
I give 5 stars for the series but different stars for each individual book. Rather than write a review of each of the 8 books, I'm just going to write 1 for the series. The series is about a group of former Navy SEALs who were experimented on without their consent and became super soldiers. They now run a business together while investigating the man/people who did this to them and still present a threat to them and their loved ones. Each man falls for a woman he needs to protect from their enemies. My initial impression of this series was that it was going to be a collection of stories that satisfy an array of tropes with the dedicated, loyal, protective hot guy falling for, and needing to protect, the strong but tormented woman. It is that; and if that was all it was, I would have been fine with that. I would have read them, probably more slowly, and taken breaks between books for maybe a little more substance. However, this series was tied together really well with the background story of chasing the bad guys who did this to them. With every story, it revealed a little more of what was going on, someone else involved, and increased the stakes. It really sucked me in, making it increasingly harder to stop reading and impossible to read anything else between books. For the last 3 books, I started reading the next book immediately after finishing the previous book, and kept reading until I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore. The whole series together was quite good but should be read in order. I also highly recommend the audiobooks. I listened while reading along.
Kye and Samantha's story was the most thrilling as it was the last book and the climax and conclusion of the series. Kye and Samantha begin the story in captivity, so it was heart pumping from page one. They need to get themselves out, and figure out who the mystery players working against them are. While Tori is my favorite female lead, Samantha is a close second. She is also definitely the most resilient.
Well.... here we are... again.. writing another review for the wonderful Nyssa Kathryn and her Project Arma Series. Only now there are no more books left in the series!! I am very sad about this. -but yes there is a spin off that I am anxiously awaiting for, especially when I read the last page of Kye and boom leaving me with all the anticipation for Logan. With this being said. I have very much enjoyed this series. It has been awesome!!! So glad I stumbled upon it.
Kye was the last of his teammates to find a special strong female to call his own, and he sure wasn't expecting to find her in a cage next to him. Held captive by his enemies. The twists and turns that happened throughout this book left my mouth hung open and litterally saying I didn't see this coming. Samantha is probably one of my favorite female leads ever. Well thats not true. Each of the project Arma females are kick ass women and are just as fierce as their super SEALS. Kye was kind of a shock for me. I was expecting him to resist how he felt about Samantha. I thought he was going to be more like Mason and Oliver. He surprised me. He was sweet and enduring and as expected by this group of bad asses totally an Alpha Male with crazy protection instincts. Swoon worthy and makes you want a Kye in your life. Samantha, oh my gosh the strength that is Samantha!! She was Incredible!! All she went through and she still came out smiling and stronger then ever just amazing!! This book did not disappoint. I mean really my only two complaints is one. I didn't want it to end. I felt we could have added another chapter or 7. (Haha) and two that I have to, not so patiently, wait for Logan to come out, but if I must I must. Great job Nyssa!! One of my favorite series i have read!!
This Project Arma series has been one of the best series I’ve ever read. Unfortunately, this is the final book in the original series but what a sensational book it is though. It is more than a fabulous romance, more than a terrific suspense story and more than a combination of both because it is about a team of guys and their partners who have become a family. This family is one you can’t help but enjoy and care for as well.
Samantha and Kye are locked up together and things are very dire. Having this time together gives them both the chance to get to know each other better and for us too. Having the story told from both Samantha and Kye’s points of view enables readers to get to know them even more intimately and them as a couple as well. Samantha is such a strong woman, as all of the women in this series are but with what she’d gone through it blew my mind. Kye, the perennial bachelor, is a sweetheart who is a family man whether that’s his biological one or chosen one. He shows personal growth in this story that seems to just roll along naturally.
The wonderful thing with these stories is that no matter how much you think you’ve worked things out—you haven’t! There are surprises that stun you and I always love unpredictable storylines. When the action heats up it is so intense you find yourself literally reading as fast as possible to find out what happens—it is that good! A veritable smorgasbord of emotions is felt all through this story, from delight to excitement, fear to anger, anticipation to dread.
The best news though is that as stated the original series might have ended but there will be more stories with the guys from the other team—starting with a very interesting sounding situation.
Tricky one this book to rate. Loved romance, hated plot.
This seriously could have been my favourite book, apart from the silly plot. Which I won’t spoil, but was beyond ridiculous. I loved the romance between them, when Kye finally stops being afraid of the relationship.
When Kye wakes up after being taken by Carter, he’s in a cage next to Samantha, Tori’s best friend. They are making Samantha rebuild the chips that she destroyed, that will control the soldiers and make them obey. 🤔 Everyday Samantha is taken and she works for 12 hours on it, then brought back. Kye talks to her, and helps each night through the nightmares. It’s lovely. He calls her his sunshine and it’s really sweet. Then when they manage to escape and get back to Marble Falls, Samantha moves into Tori and Oliver’s home, and he doesn’t see her or speak to her hardly for weeks??? Ayyyy what??? She’s his sunshine and he just dumps her on them!! Here we go again. Kye is scared of relationships, blah, blah, blah! She needs time to recover, so it wouldn’t help if you were there, holding her??? Being there for her??? So annoying!
So when Kye finally man’s up, or is forced to, and takes her into his home, it’s full steam ahead for them. No conversation about how he blows hot and cold? No, we’ll just have sex and ignore it.
Sorry, getting a bit frustrated with these men. And the women for putting up with them.
So the story is getting good, and exciting and then the stupid plot happens. When the danger is over it’s TWO MONTHS LATER!! I wanted to read the bit after the danger. Not have it glossed over, yet again.
So, as I said, tricky. Parts of this book I genuinely loved, parts I hated.
Kye and the seven other men on his team, were all part of Project Arma, an experiment that turned out to be something more than what the team agreed to. Now they all are super soldiers with modified DNA, done without their consent. They are set on tracking down all those responsible for the project to ensure it doesn't continue. Although they have systematically taking down those involved, the project continues. Now they have an new evil to fight in regards the super soldiers that are being created. Samantha is coding and electronics expert that had created a microchip that is implanted in the soldier making him obey without question. Once she realizes the intent for her creation, she is determined to destroy her work. However, the powers that be will not let her go. Can Kye and his team save Samantha and shut down the project for good?
This is the final book in the Project Arma series. I have loved every one of the books in this series! The books are well written and the character development is top notch. The author weaves a story that grips you from the very first pages and keeps you riveted to the very end. Although, each book can be read as a stand alone read, I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the whole team and peek into their world. I love Samantha's character. She is strong, determined and extremely resilient. Samantha and Kye's relationship does not develop in any type of traditional way but they are perfect for each other and make a great kick butt team. I am definitely looking forward to whatever is next on the writing scene for this author.
I received a review copy of this book from the author. I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wow, what a way to 'end' the series! There were so many twists and turns in this book with Kye and Samantha! Especially at the end, how can the book just end like that? Now I'll have to start reading Logan and Jason's books, oh darn ;)
Samantha and Kye are trapped together by Carter, and Samantha is being made to make microchips so Carter can control Kye's team. I love Samantha and I feel so bad for her. She has endured torture, pain and so much mental abuse but she still stays so strong. I'm glad that Kye was locked up with her so she had someone with her, that turned into a friendship. She finally knows the right time to fight back, and man, is she a warrior! Kye gets her to safety and then things get hot and heavy between them, only to cool down as they both fight their attraction towards each other when they arrive back in Marble Falls. Kye, dealing with these new emotions of wanting to be with Samantha, something he's never experienced before, and Samantha doubting herself thinking she isn't good enough for Kye. But, as things start to heat up between them, the threat towards the team and their women is SO much closer than they ever thought (I was honestly shocked for the big reveal). In the midst of this, after Kye and Samantha are together, she learns a secret that (honestly was kind of predictable for me) but it worked well with the book. They're both perfect together, and their bond is stronger than I think either of them thought it would be, I love how they trust each other fully throughout the entire book. The cliff hanger at the end makes me want to nose dive right into Logan's book!
Kye was the last man standing, the self proclaimed perpetual bachelor, the man who would never settle. Then he was captured by Carter and put in a cage alongside Samantha. Suddenly everything he was dead set against seemed within reach, if only he could save them.
Just when the team thinks they’ve finally defeated Hylar and Project Arma, a new enemy enters the fight. Samantha and Kye escape their captivity, ending Carter’s life. But there is still the mystery woman. While Kye and Samantha heal, they fall in love. But with an unknown enemy trying to take Samantha back, Kye and the team are on edge. Every lead they have has turned up dead and they are grasping at straws to finally be able to live their lives free of Project Arma. With one last major twist, everything comes to a head and once again, love wins out over the last ditch effort to control Kye and his team.
This was my favorite book of this series. Kye was the ultimate alpha male, but Samantha was just as strong on her own. Samantha endured months of torture to try to save the world from what the chip she developed could potentially do. She had the fortitude to save both herself and Kye and they made an unstoppable team. I loved that every time Samantha wanted to put herself in danger to help the team, Kye ultimately let her do that with his protection at her back.
This wrapped up the Project Arma series with a big twist. And it opened the door to the spin off series with Logan and Jason’s team. I can’t wait to see where that series goes now that their secrets have been made public!
Kye is the eighth and final book in the Project Arma series. This is Kye and Samantha’s book.
Kye was taken at the end of the last book (Oliver) and wakes up in a cage next to Samantha. He realizes immediately who she is and is determined to get the two of them out of there. Samantha is Tori’s BFF from the previous story. She’s been held captive by the project for a while now and is being forced to create microchips and a remote for them to use to control the soldiers.
Samantha is beautiful. She’s also brave and extremely intelligent. She feels a lot of guilt for believing the project when they lied to her about her job. Samantha struggles with correcting her mistake and endures torture at their hands. Kye respects Samantha and her persistence to not give up. The more time he spends with her, the more he realizes how much he cares about her and how important she’s become to him. Kye never believed he would settle down, and for the first time starts seeing his future and wants Samantha in it.
The team finally learns who has been providing the information to the Project. They are completely surprised and also discover that more was done to them than they realized.
Even though this is the last book, there is a spinoff series called Blue Halo which will be the stories of the other Navy Seal team that was experimented on and turned into enhanced soldiers. They’ve made appearances in several books in this series, and I'm looking forward to reading their individual stories and having a front row seat to their own HEAs also.
But. There is still Logan's team , Yeah! Yes, I am being completely contradictory. However, Ms. Kathryn has made me an addict of Project Arma! I am not ready for all to be over, there is Logan's team, and of course, Grace.
Meanwhile, back in Marble Falls, Kye the eternal batchlor bites the big one. Whom better than Samantha, honestly I do not think she would make it out alive. I would have been so disappointed, Ms. Kathryn if Hyler and Carter had succeeded. Samantha did survive, and Kye has met his one and only, small problem, Carter's dead? Hyler definitely is, but the chaos reigns for control of human beings based on Sam's research and development. Together, Sam and Kye, and the entire Marble Falls team are still battling, with help from Logans team. Shocking revelations, and all is not said and done... This has been a terrific series from novel one! (It is well known the military tested, and possibly/probably, still does on their troops. Ms. Kathryn has taken a well known fact and made an entire series that is captivating, compelling, suspenseful, romantic and frankly somewhat of a thriller. The possibilities that exist, and the history that occured certainly give pause when thinking about these novels. Eight, so far, totally stellar novels! Absolutely Worth Reading! Sooooooo .......... NEXT ....... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What an explosive ending to this amazing series! Nyssa Kathryn has me hooked on her romantic suspense, and listening to this series has been addictive to say the least! This is the final book in her Project Arma series, and we get Kye and Samantha's story. Kye is the last man standing...as a bachelor that is, and he has finally met the one for him. Samantha is caught up in Project Arma as the creator of the mind controlling microchip. With Hylar out of the way, they all thought life may go back to normal, but Carter is still out there and he wants power. Taking Samantha is the key and with Kye by her side, he can be the guinea pig. But there is much more to this than just the two of them and the crazy soldier. Kathryn creates such suspense with a twist I know I didn't see coming! It's suspense at it's best with a love that is never ending. I cannot say enough good things about this series and the ending just makes me want more!
Ramona Master and Gideon Frost end the series was a narration that is off the charts. Master is Samantha and this poor character is put through the ringer. Every nuance let me know exactly what Samantha was feeling. Frost is a favorite, and he has a warm tone that I just love. As Kye he is loving, yet hesitant and as a warrior, he comes through with a fierceness that had my heart racing. This is the best kind of listen and this team made it even better.
I absolutely love this series, its definitely one of my all time favourites and it just got better with each book. This book picks up where the last one ended, and if you haven't read them I would highly recommend reading the series in order, although each book does concentrate on a couple. Samantha was betrayed - she thought she was working for the right side, but now she's being held captive and is being forced to replicate the work she had destroyed so it didn't fall in the wrong hands. Her only company is Kye, who is also being held captive. Kye is the eternal bachelor but spending time with Sam makes him believe he's been missing something in his life. Like all the guys, he's protective but oh so sweet and caring. This book is full on with everything that happens, so many twists that I did not see coming. I mean, I've read the whole series and I was still shocked by what happens. It's a brilliant ending to the series and really had me biting my nails at the end, I mean, it was touch and go for a while there. I've loved all the characters and all their stories. I'll be sad to see these characters go, but with the teaser at the end, I'm sure they'll be making an appearance in the Blue Halo series.
It took me a week but I finally finished reading all the books in the Project Arma Series. I've also read the first two books in the spin off of Blue Halo Series. Holy guacamole are they AMAZING. The writing is superb. Very rarely did I find any typos or feel lost. It's definitely recommended that you read the Project Arma books in order to understand everything.
These books have just the right amount of mystery, romance, and suspense. I absolutely love the men of Project Arma and their women. The humor thrown in is perfect.
The series ends with Kye and Samantha. Kye was our former playboy (although we never really hear of his hook ups just that he likes the bachelor life) who swore he wouldn't become committed. Well, after being captured again and being stuck in a cell right next to biomedical engineer, Samantha, he finds himself falling for his Sunshine.
I don't want to give any spoilers away but holy crap, I never would've guessed that ending. There was no way of predicting the culprit until nearing about half way through this book. Crazy.
Definitely recommend this book, the author, and the whole series! Read in order. Looking forward to learning more about our Blue Halo crew.
I finally finished up this series, and it was such a strange way to go. There were many things I liked about this book, but some things were just a little too bizarre for me.
I enjoyed how they met and got close while they were locked up together. They they worked together to escape, but then... then he just seems to ghost her. Eventually a couple weeks later he decides to not be so lame, and she doesn't even call him out on it. It just gets glassed over in favor of them making up and sleeping together.
OK, fine then. Suddenly they are in love with each other and the story takes a really odd turn. Seriously, with so many books contributing to an overall story, I can see why you would be trying to keep things interesting, but really?! Mrs. Potter? That was just a little to far into the realm of WTF for me. I finished the book, but after her reveal, I was just done. I am done with the book and finally done with the series.
The cliffhanger leading into the next series of 8 books was done well. I almost fell for it, too, until I remembered how much these 8 books irritated me. I will not be going on to the next series. I have so many other books to read in the mean time. I am just as glad as the guys to finally have all this over with. I can live my own life, too.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I loved the ending to the Project Arma series. This story had a lot of twists and turns and surprises. It was action packed, tragic, and explosive.
Kye has a soft spot for Samantha, but he hasn't had much time to spend with her to get to know her. Being who he is and his above average abilities, he is the one that believes he will get them free from the captive state they are in, but Samantha surprises him by her determination and strength.
Samantha is determined that she will not complete the work that Carter is forcing her to do, and she is also determined to free her and Kye. She's a smart woman and her strength to survive is impressive.
I loved this series and hated to see the end of it, but what an end it was. The twists and surprises in this book were great! the self proclaimed forever bachelor has met someone that will turn his world upside down. I loved the unpredictability of the story and the characters as always were spectacular. I look forward to the next series by Nyssa Kathryn. I give this story a 5-star review and would definitely give it double if possible.
Wow, I did not see that ending coming!! What a way to end a series…and tease the next. I am already anxiously waiting for the spin-off with Logan and his team. This entire series was amazing. I loved Kye and Samantha together. From their harrowing introduction to each other to their fought for HEA, they made a great team. This final book in the series wraps up loose ends, connects with all the couples, and throws in a shocking surprise with the bad guy – never would have guessed that, at all! I’m still surprised from the reveal. The author did a fabulous job weaving the storyline and drawing out the suspense. This story will definitely get your adrenaline pumping and keep you on the edge of your seat. I’m sad that the series has ended, but excited for the new one to start and hopefully we’ll get to revisit these guys in the future. And from that ending…I’m thinking it’s over – or is it really?? Can’t wait to find out! Major excitement from beginning to end, loaded with suspense, danger, action, and romance, full of extremely protective men who will do anything for those considered family, and brotherly bonds that run deep.
Wow, brilliant book!! Samantha and Kye are held captive while Samantha works on producing microchips for Arma. This was a non stop roller coaster ride of a book that absolutely never lets go till the very end. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and especially the climatic ending. Kye and Samantha just had an immense connection that took over. His protective streak and her insecurities after being held captive were great to see being handled. I lived the few steamy scenes and it was lovely to see he didn't pressure her or let the sex overtake the intimacy that was important. The romance was just as important to show as the steam. I really approved of that. Kye surprised me as he really was against a relationship and I think in real life as in the book world, you just never know what's coming. Nyssa Katherine writes easy to read fast paced books with delightful characters and thought provoking situations and issues arising and this was another fantastic book. This was an ARC and this is my honest review.
The final book in the Project Arma series does not disappoint. Throughout this series we have been treated with multiple HEAs as well as an overarching storyline of just who is behind the chaos that follows the men of Marble Protection. This is Kathryn’s first series, and I am happy to say it is not her last. She writes a compelling and entertaining book that you don’t want to put down.
Kye and Samantha have an instant connection that they can’t explore right way because when the book opens, they are both being held against their will. But they connect past just that forced proximity of location. However, Kye tries to hold himself back, but once he comes to realizations on his part, he is ALL in. Samantha is dealing with a lot of guilt from her contribution to the terror that is Project Arma. She is doing her part now to try and correct that. This series was well throughout and the storyline flows perfectly through all eight of the books. And the twist that came, I was NOT expecting it at all!! I am beyond excited to see where Nyssa Kathryn takes us next!
Wow Kye and Samantha, they went through the ringer right from the jump of their relationship. I am so glad that he was their for her to help her get thorough it. The final brother to find his kick ass sassy heroine. The one who swore he would never settle down, found this amazing women who is absolutely perfect for him. I love that he helps her overcome all the emotional issues that Hylar had put her through all those years ago. He was such a rock her strong protector. She integrates so well with all the other ladies in the group. Samantha and Kye were meant to be together, they make each other better. Of course you have to have a couple more curve balls to wrap up the series and then leave us with that nice gem at the end. I was always wondering about her…. I can’t wait to read the new series with the other set of “brothers”.
Samantha developed the chips that can be used to control super soldiers like Kye. Now she and Kye are locked up in the same cage, separated by bars. She is being tortured to recreated the chips, but she is determined to save Kye and herself. Samantha is the hero in this story. She is smart, strong, gentle, and compassionate. Even a dedicated bachelor like Kye can’t help but falling for her. This story is full of non-stop actions with twists and turns. There is a surprise evil character and an unexpected ending in this story. More to find out in the next story. I love the Team members and their women all get along. They come together when one of them is attacked. These super soldiers have their head on straight, protective and loving. That makes them even more attractive than the physical power they have. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This one is amazing! It is action packed, suspenseful, emotional and has twists and turns that are shocking. I’m usually pretty good at guessing what’s coming but I was shocked. This last book in the series features the lone bachelor, Mr I Don’t Do Relationships Kye. He is attacked and captured by Carter. He wakes in a cage with bars he can’t escape from. His roommate is the biomedical engineer and woman they’ve been searching for Samantha. She has been a captive for months, tortured and forced to make chip to be inserted in soldiers to take away free will. She is now forced to rewrite her program for the remote to the chips. She works long hours every day and gets to spend her nights with the joke cracking gentle hunk in the next cell. These two form a strong bond and they will need it to survive.
I loved this entire series, and this book was a fantastic conclusion to it. The entire 8 book story arc has a huge science fiction element to it, so be prepared for the required suspension of disbelief that goes with that. Not to mention the absolutely fantastic coincidences that bring some of the heroines into contact with the heroes, who they are usually already unknowingly connected to through Project Arma. In spite of that, all 8 of the stories were interesting and fun to read, and some of them caused me to actually connect with the characters on a deeper level. This final book of the series wrapped everything up perfectly, while still leading into another 8 book series to come with separate but connected characters in another town. I look forward to reading more by this author as her next series is released.
