Dreamer, aviator, and certainly not the man she expected…
Harley Petersen knew falling for a man in uniform was a mistake. A relationship with a pilot would end in heartbreak, especially when it is her twin brother’s wingman. Stolen moments long ago only deepened the connection between them that she kept hidden away deep inside… until Jackson came crashing into her world once again.
A love he couldn’t forget...
Jackson Sloan knew his best friend’s sister was definitely off limits—despite their soaring feelings. When he broke Harley’s heart years ago, he knew nothing would ever be the same. Uncontrollable emotions had skyrocketed, surging upwards at a breakneck pace, resulting in a kiss that could be nothing more—or could it?
Now Fate has given this lucky Flyboy a second chance at love.

Flyboys are a group of men who thrive on adrenaline, toy with playboy reputations, and are a bunch of self-proclaimed misfits. This sweet, romantic series is full of soaring emotions, sweeping intense moments, and loyal friendships that unite the most unlikely characters into an unforgettable love story.

Each book written is sure to be an adventure, bringing laughter and love to your heart!
Positive Thoughts: A clean romance, with so much emotion, feeling and wow factor, you'll not want it to end! So romantic, just sooo romantic. You will fall in love with Jackson (I sure did!), when he starts officially dating Harley, he will just steal your heart away. I loved it because it was real. It wasn't that fantasy romance, too unreal or over-the-top, no! Jackson was the real romantic type. Every feeling, every emotion was real, not far-out or over-stretched, it was so convincing I fell very very hard too.
Negative thoughts: Nothing, nothing at all. My brain was so mooshy and melted and gooy, it could not pick up any bad vibes from the book. There was such a good balance of romance with real life stuff that made it perfect. Yes because you need this balance or it will be too much.
Overall: Multiple POV (in 3rd person), we get a bit of everyone here, because it is an introduction to an awesome series, so we get to meet some of the next Flyboys. It is by far the most romantic book I have read this year - I have finally found my book-boyfriend. It will make you laugh, but, watch it, it will make you cry. These guys go through hard times and it's heart-bearking. But there are times you will cry of happiness. It's soooo good. A fast and easy read and you will cry when it all ends - so you better have the next books on hand because you won't want to wait one second to carry on with the series!
I highly recommend you read all the books in the series, I do not believe they can be read as stand-alones.
The story of Harley Petersen and Jackson Sloan is the first story about four former Air Force fighter jet pilots “flyboys” whose love for the military change by the death of someone dear to them. Harley’s brother Hunter, has been best friends with Jackson since high school. He’s been the boy Harley crushed during HS and never forgot. Little did she know, he felt the same. As these three start a flying school , we get a chance to see that even though both Harley and Jackson are cautious and afraid to rock the boat, the attraction continues to ignite between Harley and Jackson. We also get a chance to meet the other two pilots that will soon have their own stories, as well as meet the girl that will turn Hunter’s live upside down. This was a clean, sweet, and touching story about friendships, personal losses, new beginnings, hope and of course, romance. A wonderful start to a series I will continue to follow. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Oh my goodness this book is just the best! I totally finished it in a day because I could not put it down. Ginny wove this tale so flawlessly and I adored the characters.
If you are looking for a Top Gun like feel but with more romance this will be the series for you! I loved that all the guys have call signs that fit them perfectly and that they all are so unique. I loved learning more about flying and bringing back all the memories when my dad was learning to fly a Cessna airplane.
Jackson is just an amazing guy through and through and such a sweetheart. I love that he is such a leader, but still humble enough to ask for help and rely on others. He takes care of those he loves and is such the romantic guy. I loved Harley and that she was just the perfect fit for Jackson. She was determined, spoke her mind, and cherished her family and friends.
I loved that we also got to see and get to know other characters that will have their own stories throughout the series. Nothing better than getting more time with characters you love.
Physical Intimacy: PG13 Lvl 2 (Kissing, Making out) Zero Swearing
I liked the overall story of this book, but there were too many inconsistencies. It felt like the characters didn’t have strong, consistent personalities and their reactions in even a single scene swung back and forth too fast to keep up with. Jackson calling Harley his girlfriend before going on a first date then later saying a date wasn’t a relationship didn’t make sense. I might give a later book a shot in case the writing and editing improved over time. Also, be ready for lots of cheese - not my cup of tea, but I know others do like that!
Oh my gosh! Jackson is so dang swoony, and Harley is just amazing. I love seeing the beginnings of Alpo and Glory as well! I'm addicted to the Flyboys. Take me to Yonder!
The wild blue yonder beckons to Hunter and Jackson! As soon as high school is over, they immediately go into the military (Air Force) to satisfy their craving for flying! They love flying those big fighter jets and the military until a tragedy happens and it effects everything for them. They can't leave the military fast enough, but they have to keep flying! Harley is Hunter's twin sister and she's had a crush on Jackson forever. When Hunter goes into the military, that's the first time they are separated. However, when he comes home, he wants to start a flight school so Harley gets it all set up but -oops, he doesn't tell her that Jackson is also coming along! Awkward!!!! I adored Jackson! He is a quiet, thoughtful, sweet guy and was my favorite character! Hunter was a little bit obnoxious to me but so be it! When he gets in trouble, I was really surprised that Harley doesn't call her parents immediately! It seems like that's what a daughter would do! Harley was a so-so character to me. Most of the times I liked her but some times she was a little obnoxious too. Not everyone is perfect though! I love her and Jackson together however. Jackson is the perfect boyfriend! Totally dreamy!
This is a great introduction to the series. I read all in the previous army series and was a big fan. This one is different but so interesting. It has several different story lines going at one time. Normally I’m not a fan of that but this was done in a way that was natural and easy to follow. I loved reading about the start of the business and the start of a relationship. I must admit although I have never had the desire to learn to fly a plane I am seriously thinking about some lessons. The experiences (and awesome dates) that you can have just is incredible. Jackson and Hunter have the most amazing places to fly to go on a date. My heart melted each time they were heading out somewhere incredible. I loved the chemistry with Harley and Jackson as well as the relationship with Hunter and learning about Glory. I can’t wait for more from this series! Rating: PG, some PTSD triggers from war, clean.
The author seems to have a pretty fair amount of aeronautical knowledge, giving this sweet romance story some back home Top Gun vibes involving a bunch of former Air Force pilots. I really enjoyed how the author slipped in the POVs of each flyboy along with the two MCs'. 3rd person multi POVs usually confuse the heck out of me, and I typically have to go back and re-read to get back on track. However, this author's 3rd person POVs were were very well written. So, I could easily follow along.
The flyboys call signs were a cute touch and fit each character perfectly.
Hunter has got to be my favorite character out of the bunch. He made me laugh quite a bit.
Harley and Jackson are such a sweet couple, and I enjoyed reading about their romantic adventures. That first date was 👌
An overall wonderful read that kept me engaged and gave me the feels. Can't wait to read the next in the series.
My review today is on the Romance, Forever Faithful. This is book one in the series Flyboys. I really enjoyed this book. It's well-written, humorous, and full of drama. I know you are going to love it. I can't wait to read the next one in the series.
Harley Peterson and her twin brother had decided to start a business when he got out of the military. He had sent money back home and Harley had invested it. They had a nice nest egg but planes cost money. When a mission went bad her brother got out and so did his best friend. They wanted her to find an airstrip they could purchase. Harley knew better than to fall for a man in uniform especially one who had already broken her heart. This flyboy could destroy her.
Jackson Sloan knew better than to get involved with his best friend's sister. He had been warned many times. They were all partners and Harley was off-limits. He couldn't forget the one kiss they shared all those years ago. His heart had a mind of its own.
An exciting journey to establish their business and keep from destroying each other. God has a plan for these two a good plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A plan for peace and not for destruction even in our time of peril. Give Him your heart and watch Him move on your behalf.
Do you like the second chance romance trope? Do you like the brother’s best friend trope? Do you enjoy multiple POV’s? Are you a fan of Top Gun?
If your answer to any of those questions is “yes,” then you should definitely consider checking out Forever Faithful by Ginny Sterling.
Forever Faithful is the first book in the Flyboys series. Each book in the series follows a different Flyboy and their romance, and this book in particular focuses on Jackson (A.K.A. Thumper) and Harley.
To be completely honest, when I first started reading Forever Faithful, I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about it. I’m a massive Top Gun fan, so I knew I’d like the overall vibes, but I’m typically not a fan of the second chance romance trope. With that being said, I truly enjoyed my time reading this book! It was funny, the romance was adorable, the story was fast paced, and I loved the multiple POV’s!
This series is available on KU and I will definitely be reading more in the very near future. Words cannot describe how excited I am for Hunter’s book!
Content Warning: This is a closed door romance with a few instances of innuendo/suggestive dialogue.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
Exciting, well written, one of those rare books that once you start reading you just can’t put it down. I rarely write reviews but I had to for this book. It’s a good romance but also has a great story to tell. The characters are totally believable and I fell in love with them and can’t wait to get started on the next book in the series. I’m not going to say anything about the storyline because I don’t want to give anything away but I encourage you to read this series and enjoy it as much as I am. Ginny Sterling aced it with this series! I recommend it all who enjoy a well written romance that brings the characters alive in such a way you can’t put the book down and once you finish it you have to get the next. I’ll be back soon to let you know about the next book in the series. Many thanks to the author who is now at the top of my favorites list.
I really wanted to love this book. My heart is with the Air Force being that my father served, my husband served 24 years and my son is serving becoming a fighter pilot. My husband is also a private pilot.
My heart hurt at the inconsistencies and discrepancies of what is actually real. Yes, I know it is a work of fiction but the romance and excitement of the plot, which is good, is completely lost from the lack simple details that would have given the story credibility. It feels like the author guessed or took hearsay in account instead of simple research that could’ve given realism to the book. This lack of correct details was terribly distracting and off putting.
It’s truly a shame because the storyline is a good one. I’m sorry but I can’t recommend this one.
I usually enjoy stories with a faith arc in them the most, yet this book (& series) I just really really liked. Such a great book, well written romance with all the feels but no lust, enough passion and tenderness to be real but keeping it well within the clean category (thank you!).
The aviation and Air Force theme makes for a great background, bit of a Top Gun vibe that works. Tough Air Force men, who have spend 6 years in war zone, yet there's a soft side to each of them that is realistically written and well developed.
The maturity of Jackson in pursuing Harley, and how well he handled things with her brother and dad made this romance extra sweet. Enjoyed the multiple POV's (not just the MC), and will be reading more of this series without a doubt.
I have been putting off reading the Flyboys. I thought, how can they be better or even as good as the Healing Hearts. Well, maybe not better, but just as good- YES! I absolutely love both of these series. There is true life experiences, both good and bad. But most of all the love and friendships between the guys and ladies. The rare, always there for you friend that can be around all the time or only see a couple times a year but pick up where you left off like it was yesterday. And of course there is romantic LOVE ❤️. These are the best reading when you are going through a rough patch because they will lift you up and or give you an excuse to cry when you need to without exposing the real reason. Thank you so much for these!
This is not the first Ginny Sterling book I have read and she never fails to stir your soul with the chemistry she creates around her original story telling! Glory is unique and quirky and just adds sparkle wherever she is planted! The blossoming relationship between Harley and Jackson, especially all the romance while Jackson swooned Harley, what can I say was every girls dream come true! From the Hangar Dinner to the trip to New Orleans etc., left me with goosebumps! Hunter's protectiveness in this story was endearing.
My fav lines in the novel: I have to give the team their moment in the sun (Ginny you did this hands down Girl!) To unforgettable moments and memories. Events that rock you to the core. Sometimes a fresh start begins with a new setting
This is the first book in the FlyBoys Series and OMG was it amazing! Ginny Sterling will never disappoint you with this series. I love this series and these characters. This book is about Jackson "Thumper" and Harley. They had a moment back in high school and years later they find each other working together. Jackson is her twin brother Hunter's best friend. I loved hearing how the Flyboys became the Flyboys. This book will make you swoon, laugh out loud, and just give you all the feels. You will also fall in love with Hunter "Alpo" and Glory. Glory is one of my favorite characters of this series. She is so darn cute and spunky!!! I hope you pick up this book and series. You will not regret it. I HIGHLY recommend this book. Grab a cup of coffee and ENJOY!!
I love me some Ginny Sterling. This book is fabulous, I couldn’t put it down. The characters are like family within minutes of reading about them. They come alive and pull you into their emotions in the story. I laughed and cried at this incredible story so filled with dreams, hurt and love. I was wowed with every page at how this story weaved into my heart. I can’t wait for Hunters story and will read every book in this exciting and fun series. Love the Flyboys! Was given a complimentary copy, all opinions are my own.
The wonderful beginning of the Flyboy series by Ginny Sterling. Second chance at love. Harley had a crush on her twin brother’s best friend, Jackson. He kisses her right before he and her twin, Hunter, go to sign up to join the air force. When it’s time for them to re-up, they decide they’ve had enough of death and destruction so are going home and all three start a business together. Can the three of them get this business off the ground? Will Hunter be able to stay out of Harley’s personal business? *I received this book as an ARC reader and am leaving my unbiased review.
I finally got to read the first book in this series! I never read anything in order! I loved this introduction to the fly boys, and cannot wait to read the next one! Harley and Jackson are such a cute couple, and their story was so sweet. Both of them had such huge crushes in high school, but will they feel the same as adults? Throw in Harley’s twin Hunter, and a sassy mechanic named Glory, and the adventure never stops. I cannot wait to read Glory and Hunter’s story and get to know the rest of the fly boys.
Wow! I was finally able to get into this series and wow! Wow! WOW! It’s starts with tragedy and there’s almost tragedy near the end and then this amazing band of brothers pull through for each other. There’s also an amazing love story woven throughout. Each of these men, egotistical, loud, cocky and wonderful have hearts of gold and their own personal demons to overcome. I can’t wait to binge on the rest. Flyboys here I come.
My husband has ruined my ability to suspend disbelief when it comes to aviation
I read this after getting up to speed on Flirt’s battalion. The brother’s best friend is a fun trope and that part is fine. As a pilot’s wife; however, I had trouble with the downed plane segment of the book. There’s more to that process that would have located them sooner with the resources in place.
This book was beyond adorable and fun to read. I have read a few others in the series and decided to start at the beginning. I think this one may actually be my favorite! The chemistry is beyond perfect, I love that you get to know multiple couples at once while getting the most story from the main couple. It really sets up so much and it's a wonderful must read book.
Thought it would have been a good read based on the summary... I didn't like how it was written. I love chapters separated with characters and hated this still talked in third person but still with a character named in each chapter. Just didn't enjoy style of writing and story was plain. Finished because I dont like to start and stop a book, but deficit not care for it.
What an amazing book to kick off the Flyboys Series! Forever Faithful is a clean romance book full of so much emotion and tender, sweet moments! Dual point of view for the main romance characters Jackson & Harley with introductions of other flyboys whose stories are told in other books in the series. The love Jackson hs for Harley - swoon - he is so kind & his interactions with Harley melted my heart. I am excited to continue this series.
Romance, sweet, contemporary; series but stand alone read Jackson and Hunter and Glory’s story is just beginning. Both with done hang ups, both hurting a bit. When fate throws them together, they have to learn to stop the anger and resentment, but as a consequence, their emotions grow and develop as well. Fun start to this series about retired military pilots.
A great story with wonderful characters. This story will have you take flight with the romance between Jackson and Harley. He is so romantic. Harley's overprotective brother and the new mechanic who happens to be a woman are like oil and water. But underneath lies an attraction. Great premise of opening a flight school with the ex-military flyers.
A wonderful book. Very interesting with a lot of details of airplanes, flying and the Air Force. The characters have been wonderfully created. I absolutely love the healing hearts series so this spinoff is much awaited. I am wondering if some off the healing hearts characters will show up in this series.
Wow, what a start to a new series. With characters named Thumper, Alpo, Ace, Romeo, to name a few, you know you are in for an exciting time. Ginny Sterling fulfills that expectation. Add it Haley and Glory, you have the makings of a romance with humor, tension and more than a few twists. Treat yourself to this book.
Loved this book...I normally only read CF, which this one isn't, but it is clean and so, so good. Loved all the characters and Harley and Jackson story is really good. Good book because there was a "story" and not just the romance part. Looking forward to the next book in the serious.
I loved this. Harley irritated me sometimes when she didn't believe in his feelings but I understood she was just scared of being hurt. Jackson was boyfriend goals, swear to God, he was sweet, attentive and just plain obssessed with her (in a good and healthy way), I loved him. This couple really tugged at my heartstrings
