The 11th book in the Knitorious Murder Mystery series!
“Trust me, Megan,” said my best friend. “This spa weekend will be dead relaxing.” I didn’t think she meant it literally, but here we are, trapped in a remote, luxury retreat with a killer.

We don’t know who the killer is. Or if they plan to kill again. After a major storm floods the only road that leads in and out of the cozy, secluded spa, we find a fellow guest in the sauna. Dead. She was murdered. Who murdered her? And why? Is she the first victim of the killer’s weekend rampage? Everyone is a suspect. Instead of a weekend escape from our lives, we’re trying to escape the weekend alive. Can I get away from the killer, or will this be my final getaway? If you like your cozy mysteries with a bit of humour, small town Canadian life, a hint of romance, a close circle of quirky, lovable characters that you wish you knew in real life, dogs and cats, and free knitting patterns, there's something in this series for you. Clean no graphic violence, sex, or strong language. Other books in the Each book in the Knitorious murder mystery series is a standalone mystery that is solved by the end of the book. The books can be read in any order, however the characters' lives and relationships evolve and change over time.

Last in the series for me (I read these last two reversed, so I read the previous one, #12, and have now finished #11). But I have it on good authority that another is due in a few months.
Interestingly, there was very little actual knitting in this one. Though of course all the knitters carried knitting in their bags so probably some stitches happened without mention.
The story also didn't take place in Harmony Lake, for the first time. It's okay though, the story was still very good. The murder victim was a twin and both twins are crucial to the story; and there was a bit of dialogue on all that comes with identical twins.
In this story nearly everybody looks guilty, or at least all have very good motives for committing the crime. When the murderer is revealed I honestly did not suspect that person (okay, it was a "she," but that isn't a spoiler, there were only women at the location, -the story setting).
The spa that's the setting sounds wonderful! The amenities are awesome, and the chef is world class and a winner of many international awards; descriptions of menu and off-menu selections had me drooling all over my device.

I think this is the best one yet! They've been getting progressively better: the writing is better (I've complained in the past that each piece of the back story is announced and explained early on). There's a bit of that here, but it all comes out organically, simply revealed as the need to know arises.

I believe that readers of cozy mysteries would enjoy it, the overarching "theme" of knitting and knitters isn't knitting. Instead, the spa is crucial to holding the story together. There's suspense, humor and lots of thrills, all coming together easily, coherently. Recommended to anyone.

I enjoyed Megan's latest adventure. It was nice to have a women only mystery. I loved having all of Megan's female friends spend time together. The plot kept me guessing. I hated to put it down before I finished.

In the latest addition to the Knitorious mysteries Megan, Hannah, Connie, April, Tamara and Rachel head out for a spa weekend to celebrate Mother's Day. As a storm washes out highways and disrupts phone service, a body is discovered in one of the saunas. With only one small town officer on site, Megan and company try to find the killer before another victim is found. This series is one of my favorite mystery series. I love the complex characters, always with an engaging back story. The returning characters keep evolving and I always feel like I'm visiting friends. Megan's sense of humor, even when the situation is deadly serious, makes for a fun, fast read. The mystery is always full of twist and keeps me guessing until the resolution. I highly recommend Bait and Stitch as well as the whole Knitorious series to all mystery lovers, not just cozy mystery readers.

Hannah, Megan, and Connie visit SoulSpring Spa and Resort for Mother’s Day weekend and meet up with April, Tamara and Rachel. While April and Megan are outside the bistro, they hear a commotion caused by Summer and Autumn, a pair of identical twins who are also visiting the spa along with their friend, Billie. When a violent storm hits the area, the resort loses power and internet connection except for the electrical power the generators can provide. They are not only stranded in luxury accommodation, halfway up a mountain, but also with a murderer who killed one of the guests. Without contact to the outside world, will Megan and Hannah be able to solve the murder even though they appear to be suspects themselves? Will they be able to contact Eric and Adam in time for help?

I found this story to be intriguing, mystifying and very funny. The characters came alive on the page. I was kept guessing as to the murderer, right up to the end. Megan and the girls are such relatable characters and I enjoyed reading a book that has a main character who is older and wiser, yet has imperfections. This book is well-written and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an engaging cozy mystery to read.

I not only will purchase this book but also received this book as a beta reader for an honest opinion.

I really enjoyed this book but then again I don't think I have given a book in this series anything less than five stars. . I really enjoyed the plot for this one, just the woman of Harmony Lake solving the murder, as they are trapped in a remote spar with a killer, having everyone locked in the same location and the drama of a storm was well a perfect storm. The mystery was good, although I did guess who the killer was despite all the red herrings but I think that was more because it is a popular twist for mysteries. I was still hooked by the mystery. I also really like the characters, old and new and can't wait to see how they are going to fit in at Harmony Lake in the next book.
As a mother's day treat Megan, her surrogate mother, daughter and best friends family are treating themselves to a spar weekend to relax. Unfortunately a storm has them stranded and when one of the other guests is killed, they are trapped with a killer. A deputy is also trapped by the storm and as Megan and April discover the body they become the prime suspects in her eyes. With everybody keeping secrets, no real alibi's and everybody acting suspicious, even the deputy, can Megan find the real killer before the storm passes and the real killer gets away?
I like the narrator for this series. She makes it easy to imagine the characters and follow along.

Megan, Hannah and Connie are all spending Mother's Day weekend at SoulSpring Spa and Retreat along with their friends Tamara and Rachel. They are hoping for a restful weekend; however, shortly after their arrival a storm breaks out and strands everyone at the Spa. They meet identical twins Autumn and Summer who are also staying there along with their friend Billy. Officer Twyla of the local police department arrives just as the storm hits hardest. The road is washed out taking her police car with it, along with the satellite phone she had brought in case of an emergency. At the same time the power goes out along with the spotty cell service in the area. Everyone is told to meet in the Epicurean Bistro to make sure everyone is alright. Autumn arrives late looking for her sister Summer. Summer is finely found in the spa, but she is dead. Was it an accident or murder.

I am voluntarily reviewing this book after receiving it free from the author.

How dependent on technology and the internet access that goes along with much of it? Megan and her friends find out when they're stranded at a luxury spa after a violent storm that knocks out all phone connections, even land lines. I won't detail any more of the plot here but enjoyed the mystery thoroughly. It was fun to see how the characters I've come to feel like I know react to new characters and a new to them setting. If you've ever lost your internet connection when you felt like you absolutely needed it to make a call, you'll relate to the situation they find themselves. Toss in a murder and that they don't have their usual backup characters and knowledge of all involved to draw on for the solution. I have to admit, I somehow had a hunch who the guilty party would be but found myself wavering as the book progressed. Lots of plot twists and red herrings to add to the feelings of apprehension felt by all. Bottom line, held my attention and kept me guessing. Give it a read.

Another simply brilliant offering from Reagan Davis in the Knitouious series! I could not put this book down, from the very first word to the very last. Megan and her friends are stranded at a luxurious spa for the Mother's Day weekend when inclement weather causes a portion of the road to be washed away. Then Megan finds the body of a missing guest, one of a pair of identical twins. The story is compelling as Megan and her friends race to uncover the killer before she had an opportunity to kill again. The writing is clever and completely error free which makes the enjoyment of this work even better!

I have loved following this whole series! Megan and the rest of the characters are so much fun! There’s a cozy mystery involved, along with some great humor throughout the story. Megan’s headed off to a spa retreat weekend, along with her daughter and some of their friends. But while she’s there, one of the guests dies. And to make things worse, they get stuck at the retreat after a storm closes the road off and shuts down their access to the outside. I listened to the audiobook. The narration was great, making the story come alive and very easy to understand.

Fun reading for cozy mystery fans! A group of women are stranded at a resort when a dead body is found. Megan, Hannah, and friends work on solving the mystery. The characters are well developed and it is interesting to see how returning characters develop in each new book of the series. The Knitorious mystery series is fun, witty, and well written. Recommended for those who enjoy the cozy genre. Thanks to the author, I received a copy of this book. Review is voluntary.

I love this series. The characters are typical small town folks. They live in a town where gossip is the currency and nosiness is expected. The individuals are multifaceted whether they are part of the regular crew or if they are joining for one book only. This story, as are all the series books, was well written with a mystery that took time to untangle. A very satisfying read.

Being at a luxury spa and spending quality time with your closest gal pals is supposed to be relaxing. Especially when you're celebrating Mother's Day. Not so much when a guest is found dead and you're on the suspect list. There's nothing to do but solve the case!

I received an arc of this book and voluntarily provided a review.

I'm a little bitter that Ms. Davis made me think in this one. She normally provides enough of that challenge in the mystery, but adding character development made this book a totally different spin on her normal content. It was a pleasant surprise and once again I want to grow up to be a cross between Connie and Rita.

Loved it

I love this series so much. Great characters. It was disappointing that we didn't get to read much about Eric and Adam, but a different location was interesting. The twin storyline was interesting as well as Twyla and Maria. I felt it was easy to spot the killer, but that didn't detract from learning how everyone figured it out. It had a good conclusion with Hannah, Megan and the killer. Can't wait for the next one.

This one was a bit different than the rest of the series, since it happens out of town, so a lot of new characters are involved. I usually don't figure it out before the reveal, but this time I did! Maybe I'm learning how the author thinks! lol. It was a good mystery and the way it unfolds as the clues are discovered was really good and I enjoyed reading it.

This was very different from the other books in the series in that it took place outside of their small town. It's bad enough being stranded after a storm at a mountain spa retreat without power, internet or cell service, but throw in a murder and it's downright scary.
I loved this book and wow, I didn't see that ending coming!

Boy but does the author cast a lot of red herrings!
It was a wonderful story though very different than previous since Eric wasn’t with Megan this time when she did her murder-solving.

I knew it!!! I figured it out!! Once again Ms Davis puts together a nonstop action, keep-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat story!! It seemed every page I was changing my mind about who I thought was doing what! This story is so twisted, so exciting! And I love the ending!!!

You can never go wrong with a book in this series and I can't think of anything negative about this new book. The ladies take off for a stay at a secluded mountain spa on Mother's Day and it's anything but relaxing. As usual the characters and the storyline are top notch and the twists and turns will keep you guessing. I received an ARC of this book and I'm voluntarily providing an honest review.

Heartily recommended!

This was enthralling! I did figure out who was guilty fairly early, but the mystery was so intriguing and the scattered tidbits made perfect red herrings mixed with actual clues. The characters were interesting, also, and I look forward to the next installment.

I'm a little bummed to say that I figured this one out fairly quickly, but it didn't sway me from reading to the end! Despite a slightly predictable ending, this book was still a thoroughly entertaining read, and I recommend it!

I very much enjoyed this mystery. Good characters and a very interesting plot. I was pretty sure I'd figured out the culprit just before I got to the end. Lots of twists and turns to get there.
