The silent savage wants to make me his.

I've been in some tough situations before, but crash landing onto a desert planet crawling with sand beasts? Yeah, I'm as good as dead.

But then Kade appears above the dunes. With his rippling muscles, long raven hair, and intricate tattoos, he should terrify me. Instead, he enthralls me.

From the possessive look in his eyes, it seems the feelings are mutual. But the danger’s only just begun. Other native barbarians want a piece of me. And what Kade has to do to protect me from them…

Well, let’s just say it involves taking off our clothes, among other things.

Kade knows how to get me back to my people. But will his quest to avenge a terrible loss get in the way?

And if returning home means leaving him behind, do I really want to go?

Leslie is in the middle of a chat with her friend as their ship carries them over the desert and the next moment she is falling to the sands. She lands uninjured but that is all about to change when a couple of sand beasts emerge at the crash site. She is fighting a somewhat losing battle against one when out of nowhere comes charging a blue striped alien. She instinctively knows to trust him but what will happen now? Kade had been hunting the sand tiger far from his own settlement. He had just got close when he sees a something fighting a sand beast. That something calls to his inner self somehow so he charges in to save it. It turns out to be Leslie, a human female who Kade has a hard time (pun intended cough cough) concentrating around. He takes her back to his settlement so that she can be safe while he works out how to get her safely back to her people only to be challenged for the claim on Leslie the second that they walk through the gates. Kade decides to claim her to save her but will it put them both at more risk?

I absolutely loved this story of Leslie who was in miners daughter and was travelling home and her shuttle was hit by something that destroyed it. Leslie was thrown clear of the craft and was facing being food for some alien beast. She heard a cry or a loud growl and was rescued by one of the aliens who inhabited the world that they were living on. Kade was the kings son, he was fascinated by Leslie when he saw her from a distance, there was something different about her, other than being human, he had to save her. Kade later found out that she was his fated mate and in saving her he help to save his planet. There is lots of heat between these two and there is a happily ever after in the end.

whoever's reading this: don't try and shame me, you're reading reviews for this book too.
anyway.
review part-
who loves emotional abuse and red flags?? 🚩🚩
this dude was an emotional terrorist, a fucking Hitler on her feelings, I swear.
the book starts on Leslie - an "I'm not that pretty 🥺" type. she grew up on her dad's mine, where she's basically his only caretaker, because his wife ran off a few years ago with an alien, saying he was her "fated mate," and her love for her husband was nothing compared to that.
cue trust issues.
but it's never really explained how Leslie cares for her dad- she just does, I guess? idk.
anyway, she's going on a shuttle for some reason, and it crashes.
she's then almost attacked, and rescued by a hot alien dude named Kade.
meet her emotional Hitler.
mein kampf has nothing on him.
basically, he ignores her requests to take her straight back to her dad, who's worried sick about her, instead taking her to his camp, kissing her along the way so they realize their attraction for each other.
love convenient plot points. just love em.
once they reach her village, however, some dude named Trag randomly goes crazy over her in a "must have vagina" kinda way, you know, like Comic Con over Storm from X-Men.
it's freaky as fuck, but Kade then declares that to protect her from other creepy ass dudes, he has to fuck her in front of everyone because
✨ exhibitionism ✨
she's understandably freaked out, but when Kade flashes that magic dick, all qualms are forgotten.
you know, as you do.
after a very humiliating public sex session, Kade makes her sleep on a freaking *rock* because
✨ customs ✨
WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS.
you know what I need after all this?
🌿 weed 🌿
anyway, Leslie then tells Kade that she needs a communication device, because if she can't go home, she needs her dad to know she's still alive.
meet the 👏 bare 👏 freaking 👏 minimum 👏
while he's gone trying to get it for her, he signs her up, without her consent, for fighting classes under her new friend, another alien woman named Ria.
not only does Ria tell Leslie she's being stupid for not liking men ogling her without her permission and not wanting to strip in front of everyone, Ria also makes the absolutely genius decision to pair her up with Dina, an alien girl in love with Kade, who's wildly jealous of Leslie for getting him instead.
Dina starts beating Leslie up in their fighting sessions in a completely unexpected twist, and Ria and the village shame Leslie for being so weak that she can't fight back.
excuse me?
these people, mind you, have been trained since they were children for war.
she's a normal human woman who, on earth, would probably be the type to have mimosas and vanilla cream pancakes for Saturday breakfasts.
not exactly fighting machines.
one day, she snaps, after Dina nearly *stabs her eye out* and starts beating Dina up.
and Kade lectures her for it.
he doesn't lecture Dina for nearly maiming his mate, or Ria for pairing them up despite what's happening to Leslie daily.
he lectures Leslie. in front of everyone.
then jollies her out of her bad mood with sex.
🤮
🤢
kill me now.
later, after the magical 🍆 does it's work, Kade tells her he can take her back to her father.
on the return trip, he chooses to aid him:
a random alien dude I don't care about
Ria, because she's the only significant other character
Trag, because men
and Dina.
because Dina.
anyway, after Trag nearly kills Leslie, and Kade gets all pissy at her because he's a
🎶 red flag, red flag 🎶
Dina confesses she watched Trag nearly kill Leslie, and didn't help. she didn't even get up from her sleeping bag.
and Kade forgives her.
WHAT THE FUCK?!
I'm tempted to tell them to just bang, because Leslie needs a reason to leave Kade. he's an asshole who favors his own kind over her, and treats her like shit, making her apologize for shit that's his fault, and basically ruining her self esteem till she can't tell what's right and wrong anymore.
🎶 Please, please cheat on me please, give me a reason to leave 🎶
when Leslie returned to her father for an anticlimactic moment, she tells him she's leaving with Kade, and he's just like.
okay.
okay.
👏 what 👏 the 👏 fuck 👏
anyway, this book was absolute shit, and if you ever see me recommending it, call the authorities, I've been body snatched.
later haters 🍆🚩🌿

Desert love

Leslie was returning to the star port from the mine on planet Xersie. The drilling machine has malfunctioned, since there were no spare parts, mining the crystals called Vyrec halted. As the shuttle lumbered toward home something hit it with such force that it broke in half. She found herself thrown out of it, still buckled in her seat, heading toward the desert ground. Once there she had another problem unbuckling her seatbelt but used her trusty knife to cut the strap. She heard a cry and rushed to the area, only to find another survivor bleeding profusely from a leg wound. Looking around to find something better to stabilize the leg, she comes face to face with a sand beast bent on making her his next meal. The only thing she had was that small blade, but adrenaline and determination persevered as she watched the other survivor be devoured by another sand beast. She may not survive but she wasn't going to go down easily. A roar sounds n both beasts look out over the desert, Leslie used that distraction to bring her knife up to jab into the creatures eye. But before she can do that, another creature appears. No not a creature, a native of the planet, a Xeki. She watched enthralled as he literally tore the beast apart limb by limb with his bare hands. Was she afraid? Quite the opposite. Her body shivered, mouth salivating, as she raked her eyes over his body. Whoa, n he's attracted to me. No way!! When he touched her to help her up, her skin tingled, her heart beat faster. The look in his eyes made the blood in her veins feel like white hot fire. This wild, breathtaking, alluring, hot, sexy, exciting man had her body n soul humming on a primal instinctive level as she imagined what it would be like to be claimed by him. And she wanted all of him!!
Kade happened to be chasing a sand tiger that was attacking n devouring the livestock. As he approached the scene of the crash, noticed Leslie putting up a fight with the sand beast. He was tempted to leave her to her fate but the sight of her stirred something primal in him as his eyes eagerly devoured what little skin she showed. His nostrils flared as he longed to tear the garments from her body. He jumped on the back of the beast n tore it apart limb by limb. A little overkill, perhaps, but he felt the beast was attacking something dear to him. When he was done, he offered her his hand, against his better judgement. His father, the King, wanted no one to interact with "the outsiders". But his instincts that this was his "fated mate" proved more powerful than angry shouts from his father. First he needed her trust, then they needed to get out of that hostile desert. Second he needed to go back to his campsite before dark
n rest for the long trek home.
What will happen when he brings the human to the settlement? Will Leslie return to the space port? Did any other members of her crew survive? These n other questions will be answered as you read this exciting tale of "Desert Love".

I really enjoyed this book. It started off exciting, then we get to know the characters and see them bond. The alien cultures in this book are different than that of the humans and the heroine Leslie's reactions- or rather reservations- felt very natural to me. I liked Kade and Leslie as a couple, but would have liked to see them interact more and show more bonding rather than the whole fated mates aspect. I also really liked supportive character Ria, and enjoyed their scenes together.

I found their planet really interesting in that it's resources depended largely on crystals. The native peoples once mined them greedily and thus did a lot of damage to the planet. Now that it was beginning to heal, humans were there mining as well, unaware of the crystals' significance to the health of the planet. I found it mind-boggling actually how all of this wasn't explained (from even before this book takes place) by the native tribes to the humans in the different mining groups, and instructed on which ones were safe to mine and which would cause damage.

I really enjoyed this book, and would definitely read more books set in this series. 4 stars.

Savage Seed by Ivy Sparks is another praise worthy addition to the Warriors of the Oasis series, so exciting and thrilling in its execution that it is sure to please every reader.
After barley surviving the crash of her shuttle in the desert of Xersie and then being rescued from the attack of a sand beast by Xeki native Kade, heroine Leslie begins a journey that will ultimately change her life forever.
This is a well written Sci-Fi romance featuring two strong leads that will invariably fall to the pull of the fated mate bond that flares between them, sensual and fierce in its revelation.
Leslie and Kade face many obstacles to their happiness from the resentment by the native Xeki’s towards the humans stripping their planet of its precious Vyrec crystals to some of the jealousies of Kade’s clan members towards Leslie.
The story is expertly told with well crafted characters, and action aplenty permeating the pages which surely does deliver a well rounded captivating story. HEA

Leslie and her dad live on desert planet Xersie where her dad runs a crystal mine. Leslie has never had more than one friend or any boyfriends because her dad's position. She is not happy with her life especially now that the mine is failing. She feels she owes everything to her father who sacrificed everything for her after her mother died. On the transport back to the city, their is a horrible accident with the ship splitting in half. Leslie finds herself stranded only with a fatally wounded stewardess. They are attacked by giant sand beasts. Leslie is fighting for her her life when a native warrior attacks the beast and saves her. She is horrified when Kade the warrior wants to claim her as his. She has to get back to her father to let him know she is alive. However the more time she spends with Kade the happier she is. Maybe she should just let him claim her after she lets her father know she is alive.

Leslie and Kade's Story . . .

Leslie ends up crashing in a desert and being attacked by a sand beast. As she was contemplating her chances of survival, an alien appears to protect her. She feels right away that she can trust him but her adventure is not over yet.

Kade takes her back to his settlement and will try to return her to her people. But almost immediately, he is challenged for the claim on Leslie and, to save her, he must claim her for himself. We also get to see the various reactions toward her from the others in the settlement, some expressing anger at the human mining that endangers their planet (but did anyone tell them that?). Others felt humans were weak. Would Leslie decide to stay with her mate? Would the others accept her if she was part of their settlement?

This was an intriguing story that raised some questions we don’t usually encounter. Grab your copy and enjoy Leslie’s adventure. Has she found a home with Kade?

Leslie doesn't want to be attracted to Kade, because her mother left her father for an alien. Kade believes that the Humans are only good for pet or as slaves, but from themoment that they see each other they are drawn to each other, even though leslie can't even communicate with him very well. Kade admires her warrior-like spirit also. Leslie remembers that her mother spoke of the alien she ran off with as her Fated Mate and wonders, even though she kows that her responsibilities to her Father mean that she has to return to him. But what if she stayed? Would he want her to? Kade feels his feelings toward Leslie grow, would she stay? He knows that she has to return, but does she feel the bond? Wonderful characters, love the ongoing worldbuilding, full of action and adventure. A really great read!

Crash-landing is one way to bring two people together!

I find Ivy Sparks' culture-clash alien romances thrilling beyond belief. Not just for the romance, but the world-building and these cultures that she builds. The stereotype of "alien barbarian" has a lot of room for interpretation, but I've loved it so far. Here the human woman knows the alien planet she's on, just only the part the off-world humans have claimed. So of course she has to run into the natives, complete with harsh introduction to the native biome. (Gotta love a good alien monster!) I enjoyed this tale, the flaws in each of the characters slowly evolving over time so they become more interesting characters, not just two-dimensional cardboard cutouts. If you get a chance to pick up an Ivy Sparks book, do it!

“Fate is a real thing, Leslie. And it doesn’t care if you believe in it or not."

Leslie has plans for her father's mine, dreams of making it more environmentally friendly, and generally better for this Alien world... but all her hopes and dreams are turned upside down when her shuttle crashes in the middle of the desert.

Kade knows the path his life is on, and while he and his father may disagree on the details, they are both strong, determined men who will do what is necessary for their village. Meeting Leslie is just the first step on Kade's path to discovering life may be more complex than he was giving it credit for, and their just might be more perspectives to consider.

This done in one Kindle Unlimited quick read takes places on an interesting world, with fun/interesting characters, leaving me hoping there will be more in this series.

Kade ended up hearing the sand tiger roar and he followed the sound. That's where he see a small human woman fighting a sand beast. Kade goes to Leslie's rescue and kills the sand beast. He ends up taking her back to his village but along the way these two fall in love. Leslie is learning how to survive in Kade's world and he is learning about her world. There is plenty of action, adventure, acceptance, proving to belong to Kade's village and when Leslie finally stops Kade from killing the sand tiger he finds that there is intellegence in the tigers eyes. It has saved Leslie's life twice. I enjoyed this story very much and highly recommend it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

She's His Dessert 🍰in the Desert🌇🌴🌵

ADULT Alpha Alien Male🐺🍆⛲🔪 Sci-fi Romance💕 and Adventure🚀
The heroine crashes on a desert world where she and her father have a mine. She is found by a barbaric native man, a huge blue striped warrior🐺🍆⛲🔪. Apparently she is his fated mate.

Very good world 🌎 building in this otherwise fairly typical sci-fi 🚀romance💕. ADULT situations are graphic and have one humiliating scene in front of the people of his oasis village.

Could do without the public humiliation scene. Don't know why authors insist on putting this "stuff" into an otherwise enjoyable read. Shock value? Of course the alien male 🐺🍆⛲🔪never tells her💃💋 beforehand what is going to happen.
The Book is written from dual points of view. The book is well written and edited.

-.-

So, I'm gonna stop here. I liked the FMC, hated the MMC, hated his village "customs", etc, and also didn't understand the logic in any off it. Wearing short unmoving pencil skirts is not logical in fighting, or with non-skinny girls. Our thighs touch, and fighting and walking around with nothing to protect them from themselves, she would have scabs for days that never heal. Also, it takes a lot longer for cuts and bruises to heal, and she was getting beat up constantly. But most of all, it was the nudist tribe and their almost cultist rituals that bothered me.
The story was good, and my favorite was the tiger (except the reincarnation thing), but I couldn't read so much of it cuz the public smex and bathing in front of men was just... Ick for me.

Holy crackers, this is by far one of the most intense, edge of your seat, nail biting books I've ever read in this genre. The world building is fantastic and filled with so much rich lore, I lost myself in it. The characters are so diverse and interesting, they are beautifully written. The storyline captures your attention from the very start, and it just continues to get better with each page. Kade is an amazing character, he melted my heart right away. I'm new to the alien genre, but this is definitely a book that deserves to be read over and over. It won't leave you disappointed. The happy ending is so adorable and sweet.

Leslie was in an accident the shuttle crashed outside far from her father’s mine then these sand creatures try to attack her but she was saved by Kade a warrior from a sand clan. Leslie was worried she’s heard stories about these natives and being a female made these Barbarians more dangerous but she was attracted to the man who saved her life. Fantastic alien sci-fi romance there is so much more going on in this story but I will let you find that out for yourself and I highly recommend this book.

A Vyrec crystal's glow is proof
A powerful, savage alien prince. A human woman crashed in the dangerous desert. A Sand Tiger that brings them together. Action, adventure and a steamy hot romance.
The ship that Leslie is on crashes. Kade is hunting for revenge. When he saves her, he feels something unusual. There is danger in the desert and in his village. Can they save themselves... and maybe restore the entire planet?

I love books with strong female characters. However in each book she has them fighting off a sand monster. In the first book it was awesome and the second book it was oh look there it is again. By the third book it's just redundant. This didn't really take away from the story. I just wish the author showed a little bit more imagination.Savage Seed is a lot like the first one, Alien Seed, but our heroine has to work on herself more to be worthy of her man. It's got great steamy scenes interspersed, and the ending is so satisfying.

This is number three in this series and just as good as the first two. These two characters are Leslie and Kade. He comes to her rescue, but she's not sure about what the future holds and how she feels. She has quite the sassy nature and that was certain to add some fire to their story. A great read, as always.

This was a fun read full of cultural differences and a fab plot richly detailed. It's fast paced, action packed and sizzles with great chemistry between these two strong characters. All together, I really enjoyed this story, and how differences can come together to be awesome. Now to wait for the next book ;)

As alien mates books go this one is an easy read

This is a cautionary tale for our times. To my great delight, both main characters talk and listen to one another. I would have loved for the sand tiger connection to be explored more. Maybe future volume will tell the story of Leslie and Kade’s family and whether the mining concerns work with or destroy the planet.

My favorite character was a giant cat. LOL! It was a lot of fun to read. Sort of a human stranded in an alien world vibe but she was familiar with the world. I know that makes no sense, but trust me, it was a good story.

Very Good

I really enjoyed this, Leslie is stranded in the desert about to be attacked by a sand beast, when out of nowhere she is saved by Kade. Points taken off: Kade is an alien, how did he come by an earth name? Dina another alien with a earth name. How????.Loved the character development, and the mystical experience with the tiger.

Ok

Very annoying main female character. She continually refers to the indigenous people as aliens when in fact, she is the alien. She and her father own a mine that pounders the planet. Sound familiar? She expects the tribe she is taken into to behave like she does. Hmmm she is condescending and as I said, annoying. Otherwise the story is decent.
