Melissa Crawford thinks she's just a regular teenage girl. She goes to school. She has friends, boy problems, homework...you know, the typical teenage angst. But she couldn't be more wrong, for Melissa Crawford is not a mortal.

Her adoptive mortal mother refused to give her up and hired a witch to erase the enchanting Faery child's memory, not realizing that things aren't that simple.

You see, when she was a little girl, Melissa promised herself forever to her Leannan Sidhe (mate), a Fae Prince, and a promise to Fae is sacred.

When the Fae Prince comes back to claim what's his, nothing will get in his way.

"Mortals are so arrogant. So utterly narcissistic to think that they are the only intelligent in this world, to believe their realm is the only realm, their way is the only way.
"Many of you believe us fairies only exist in little kids' fairy tales. We are so much more than that. We exist, living in the Realm just a blink away from yours. A few wrong turns in the park or the forest and you're there. We sometimes walk among you, and you're not even aware of it. Believe me, we exist. Across the globe, your kind calls us and our realm by different names...but as William Shakespeare once said- a rose by any other name..."

Like I loved the book. But I hated the fact that I had to wait 6 hours for each chapter. I have stuff to do so I don’t always have the time to chillax and I feel like the book is more memorable if you have it in paperback,so you can reread your favourite chapters. I love this book and I just wish it was on Amazon. And those who are saying that some of Nicole’s storylines don’t make sense. It’s because it goes catching genesis, fighting Darius, trapping Quincy, Gideon. If you are considering reading those books and have decided to read this one first, then I suggest you read those four first because there are some chapters in fayre where the characters come in and it has some spoilers

Honestly love this book so far, I’m chapter 45 reading off Galatea and I would rather pay to read this out right then spend hours waiting to read the next chapter or buying “points”. Honestly wish I could read it on kindle and PAY for the WHOLE book.Again personally my ADHD cant with waiting.

Really hoping for a sequel to this book! Loved the characters, the story and the world the author built. I didn’t want the story to end, so I waited to read the last few chapters after flying through most of the book. Please release a print version of this one!!

I was hooked from the first page, even before this one turned out to be quite different from all the usual kidnapped by fae stories.
Melissa starts off as a very shy, even in a way boring character. High school, doesn't think she's pretty (even got THE glasses), does and says all the right things. Or rather does and says all the things her mother makes her do and promise. Because Melissa is a fae child and her human mother is obsessed with keeping her for herself. The lengths this woman goes for keeping Melissa hidden even from herself are something else. But it shows what obsession is like. And it is not the gray character way where we all like to ignore the red flags all over the place.

As Melissa finally learns the truth and gets to be herself, she finds she is not very shy, boring or anything. At some point, the author says fairies are like 5 year olds with ADHD on a sugar rush and that's quite fitting for the main character. She is childish at times, impulsive but caring. She will defend her friends and loved ones but you should always be careful what you ask for. After all, fairies lack our moral compass. This will be very obvious at the end of the book in the POV of her mortal sister and her mortal friend.

Yes, we get the part where she has to save the whole world. And yes, she has a fated mate. But even this is entertaining and only loosely follows the well-trodden paths.

No longer on Watpad! Was really enjoying the first 12 chapters in Inkit, but to read the rest the author seems to have moved it to Galatea, at $1 per chapter, $63 to read one book online! It is good, but no way that good 😞 Anyone know where we can read it at a cost resembling normal rates?
