Let's start off by saying this is a fairly new author for us a we are really loving the character's that she has created for us to fall in love with.
 
We got a glimpse in Tiny's/Monquie's story of Dave and Mike and even then we new we were going to love them in this current story just proved us right as we loved them together and their whirlwind romance took us on a incredible ride.
 
Favorite passage -  "Mike Williams knew from an early age he was joining the military. After meeting the sassy, sarcastic, and foul-mouthed Monique at a training course for the elite of the Australian Army, he was introduced to the man who would become his life and soul. Dave Harris was the most stunning man Mike had ever met. He was taken from the moment he met him, and he’d stop at nothing to have this man and make him his for the rest of his life."
 
When Tiny told Mike about her best friend Dave she knew right off the bat that they would be perfect for one another and she was right it was lust at first sight and pretty much love at first sight.These two were incredible together as they were a fun couple in and out of bed.Mike pretty much had a dominate personality and Dave a bit submissive so they were the perfect mix for one another but, Mike pretty much new right off the bat that the only time he would he dominating Dave would be in the bedroom. lol
 
Dave - We found him to be a sweetheart he had an amazing personality,he was funny,love-able, sweet, kind,was an amazing friend,loved with ones whole heart, sexy, and would give the shirt off his own back to help someone in need.
"We loved him!"
 
Mike- We loved the dominate sexy man who was smart and focused,love-able,an amazing friend,sweet,had an upbeat personality but, with all those sweet things we say about him he is lethal and deadly as well as protective and possessive of the ones he loves.
One thing that comes to mine when thinking about Mike is that he is just swoon worthy! lol
 
I really loved the entire story from beginning to end.I loved the romance that went on between Mike and Dave because they were hotter then Hell when they were together and had some super hot sexual encounters that were fan worthy for sure. Lol We love that Tiny and Mike created this amazing extended family with Rock and Mary after leaving the military .We loved all those ex solider's as they had wormed their way into our heart to.The plot was also full of tons of drama,loss,love,forgiveness,healing and we got a more in depth view of what Tiny's life and the hardships she really endured but, through it all she raised three beautiful smart kids.Tiny was definitely someone we fell in love with instantly.Most of all this was just an amazing story about family and love and that it doesn't have to be one about blood alone.
 
We loved the book from cover to cover and all the amazing character's it had and I am loving how the Henderson Security books are mixing with the Thorny Devils those members from the Thorny Devils are a hoot!

This is an awesome read! This book is a stand-alone, but there are other titles that can go along with this one.

An M/M romance that shows the importance of love and family, even when you may not be related by blood.

It also has a strong element of love at first sight.

It will leave you wanting to read the rest of MLJ Quigg’s titles.

Mike Williams is one complex dude: Hard yet soft. Domineering yet dutiful. Strong yet vulnerable. Massive yet meek. Mike by MLJ Quigg is his story and the first in her Henderson Security series.

Mike traverses said man’s life, beginning at an early age with bullying and being called a freak. Thankfully with a loving family in his corner, and the many disciplines of karate, he gains confidence. After graduating he joins the Australian Army, striving to be one of its elite. Along his life’s journeys he acquires valuable friendships, experiences loss, and finds love.

Of the bonds Mike forges, his strongest friendship is found in the spitfire Monique (Tiny) Henderson. They share grueling military experiences and a camaraderie that survives the horrors they endure. They return to civilian life together and both take a role in Henderson Security. And, it is Tiny who brings Mike and Dave Harris together.

‘Mike’ is overflowing with a story line of tension, mystery, suspense, love, and even some dark times.

At first, Mike and Dave’s alone time borders on a Dom/sub relationship; which it clearly progresses to in a mild version of over time. These roles are only for the bedroom however, and their play times are shared with moments of pure love making.

Mike and Dave form an amazing duo, taking and giving in equal parts. They come together as a couple, letting their love shine through in everything they do. From supporting each other, caring for Tiny’s triplets, building up Henderson Security, to looking out for their army buddies; but most of all protecting and caring for “family”.

Mike is overflowing with a story line of tension, mystery, suspense, love, and even some dark times. The writing feels a little stiff at times, but delivers a consistent pace and believable drama with satisfying intrigue. I found myself loving these characters and their interactions, while suffering their pain, anguish and joy.

I absolutely LOVED this book!! We first met Mike in Thor's book!! (Thorny Devils MC)
Mike met Monique (Tiny) back in the Australian Military she new right away that he would be perfect for her best friend Dave!! Right from the beginning it was love/lust at first sight they are perfect for eachother!! Their chemistry is off the charts hot!! After a horrific event Mike left the military and joined Monique at her company Henderson Security!! What I loved the most was the family aspect Monique, Dave, Mike and Monique's triplets make an amazing family unit!! Both Mike and Dave are hot but Mike is also protective, possesive, lethal and deadly both men will do whatever is necessary to protect Monique and the kids!! This book has it all romance, drama, loss, love, chemistry, forgiveness and family!! I can't wait for her next book and I love how the Thorny Devil's MC and Henderson Security books are interwoven together!! Mike is a definite 5 star read and I highly recommend it you won't be disappointed!!

I absolutely loved this book! Mike is in the Australian Military where he meets Tiny and as they say the rest is history. She introduces Mike to her best friend Dave and it is lust at first site. Dave brings out every protective instinct in Mike. When a mission goes sideways Mike wants out and is given blessings by his commanding officers. Once out of the military Mike takes Tiny up on her offer to work for her family in the private security business. Things are going good between Mike and Dave, real good. Tragedy strikes again and they loose two someone’s special to them all. Will they be able to pick up the pieces and continue?

One criticism I have with this book is there is a lot, a lot going on in this book. I would’ve loved for it to concentrate mainly on Mike and Dave. Overall this is an excellent book and I can’t wait for the next installment of this series!

This is the first book in a new series from this talented author. Mike is a military man and when tragedy strikes he leaves to join Henderson Security. From the moment Mike and Dave meet there is intense chemistry between them. This is a well written story which is emotional, heartbreaking, and a steamy read. I was intrigued and hooked throughout, but the only down side in my opinion anyway, is that this is a “busy” story from beginning to end. I look forward to reading more in this series, and recommend for all.

I loved this book and all the charcters. Mike meeting Tiny in training is the best thing ever but the bond there whole team had is beyond amazing. When Mike and Dave meet you just know that there meant to be and the chemistry is through the roof. I love that Dave and Mike live out and proud and that everyone is open and amazing with it. The way these two love is like nothing ive ever seen. There were some sad moments but overall this book was amazing.

This was a great book. It had a bit of everything and kept me flipping the pages. Mike and Dave are so sweet together and down right naughty too! I loved their instant attraction and watching it grow to love. The highs were incredible and the lows had tears streaming down my cheeks. This story packs a punch, so be prepared with the tissues!

Mike is training with Tiny (Monique) to qualify for the team out of over 130 trainees only their team made it.
The two become close friends and she introduces him to her family and best friend Dave.
I’ve read Thor & hulk part of the thorny devils but I’m pleased I read this book as it gives a better background to Monique.

So good

I love when an author goes back and gives a story to supporting characters. Mike and Dave played such a crucial role in Thor, it was wonderful to see them from the beginning. I'm hoping for a dozen more stories about Henderson Security and the Thorny Devils MC, and maybe even some of these kids getting their Happily Ever Afters.

This story seemed to set up the series and a lot happened in this book. Mike and Dave had an instant attraction and had plenty of steamy scenes together. I loved Mike's protectiveness and his capacity to love. He was tough when needed and was a backbone to the group. Dave was sweet and caring. I liked the story although would have preferred more with just Mike and Dave.

Good read

I'd read this authors MC books previously and this had quite a few character cross overs. The books mesh together really well.

There were bits where I had to grab the tissues, more than the other books.

I believe love in any form is beautiful no matter who the couple is. Mike and Dave are two men who proves how amazing true love really is. Being that Mike was a military man and no ashamed to say he loved Dave was truly beautiful.

All of the men and women he worked with had no issues and I was so amazed by the support they had. We obviously knew them in the previous book for Monique and Derrick. I’m so excited they got to tell their own story!

The love and respect they have for each other shines through everything they do, every decision they make. Seeing how much they love and care for Monique, the kids and their friends proves how much they deserve a long happy life together.

I’m in love with all of the characters we have met in this book and Thor’s book. I’m beyond excited with anticipation to see where the author takes these characters and their stories!

This was an amazing book. I absolutely loved it.

I encourage everyone to read Mike and get the low down on " Monique before starting Thor book 1 in the Thorny Devils MC series.
Mike's is a military man and dedicated his life to the core and his command team. They become his family when he didn't have one of his own . Due to go on leave Tiny aka "Monique" invited them home to her parents place who were raising her triplets Until she finished her service . The team not having family of their own agreed and it soon set off a series of events that solidified them them all as a family . Mike met Dave Tinys best friend and it was love at first sight. Tiny's parents became a sort of pseudo parent for the team and we're all offered jobs in the family security business once they were finished with their tours in the army. When tragedy strikes they pull together a rescue mission to bring one of their fallen home and soon all decide to leave the army and take up positions in the security business bringing with them their expertise and growing the business experientially. The bonds they share are strong and nothing stands in the way of their friendships and relationships with their families. I loved Mike and Dave so much their love shone through on every page I cried and laughed through out this book feeling every emotion each character went through the writing style of Author MLJ QUIGG is a testament to that fact . There's only been a few Author's who have made me a blubbering mess of snot and ugly tears and this author is now added to that list. Once again I've found a Author who I don't even need to read a blurb to automatically one click . I love it when that happens. This is a five star read from me and the added bonus is she's an Aussie Author . I look forward to reading more from her in the future.

Good read, little jumpy

U really liked the book and the characters, but there was some jumping around that got me a little confused at parts. I had to go back and re-read it. I loved the plot, the characters, and the story. The jumping around is the only reason I give three stars. If not for that it would have been a 5.
