Ginny walks out on Harry and their four kids right when Al is supposed to have a playdate with Scorp. Enter Draco Malfoy, seemingly the perfect parent who has it all together despite his son’s “medical condition”. And when Draco offers to help, Harry can’t say no—he needs the help. And for some reason, he needs Draco too.
So this was cute and moved pretty slow… I really enjoyed it but I feel like it lacked something idk what!! There wasn’t rlly a resolution to the “medical condition” and I know there’s a part 2, I just don’t know if this intrigued me enough to pick up that part too.

A story of life after divorce, though this one is more like Ginny packing up and leaving the family without goodbye.
I hated her for the whole duration of the fic.
Harry’s life is is shambles. The children are heartbroken. Draco is doing the most.
This story has so many elements that make it complex and intriguing. Scorpius has a ‘health condition’, Draco is into BDSM but not the soft kind. Harry might be demisexual -scratch that- I’m sure he is. He is also powerful but doesn’t use his powers. Albus is brilliant. Remus is Harry’s last baby.
I’ll check the second part of the story now.

Loved the domesticity of this fic. The emotions were very well written, the ending could’ve been done better but still looking forward to the next part!

This is an example of a book with absolutely stellar content but sadly, only average writing.
I cannot express how much I loved the theme of this book.
Harry is an adult with 4 kids. The usual 3 and a newborn ginger, Remy. Ginny walks out on the family when the baby is a few months old.
Harry is struggling to handle his 4 kids and his feelings, and Draco drops off Scorpius for a few weeks and then starts helping Harry out. Turns out they really like each other. Draco has a masochistic kink and Harry likes Draco's caring, wisdom, calm, and competence.
What makes this fic unique is that Harry and Draco are adults dealing with adult issues. A large part of this fic is Harry dealing with his children's issues from having been abandoned, or their general children growing up issues. Harry is an attentive parent who cares about his children's emotional lives.
He also is shown to be dealing with the daily grind of parenting. Cooking, cleaning, chores. Paying bills is mentioned! Cleaning bathrooms! What a revelation!
As a parent of teens, it is such a relief to have normal life finally addressed.
But the emotional aspect of his life is not neglected either. Harry and Draco have very frank and profound discussions about their feelings. About their childhood, the war, relationships, parenting, themselves... Their communication is wonderful and mature and wholesome.
Harry's peers and friends are still in his life. Ron is an utter idiot, matching his book character. Draco still likes to get under his skin, so he isn't perfect. Al has fascinating issues- again, he's a real person.
I really am impressed by the maturity of issues dealt with in this fic. My only complaint is that the writing is only average. There are some authors whose writing style is beautiful. I wish I could take that style and combine it with these beautiful themes.
I'm looking forward to reading Harry and Draco's relationship, and all the character's developments, in the next installation.
