This is a beautiful story that anyone can enjoy. I have even recorded myself reading this for my granddaughters to listen to (and they do).
Many years ago in the closing hours of a party, one of my guests pulled this book off the self and read it (takes about 20 minutes). When he reached the end, he re-read the last couple of pages and instantly tried to pursuade others to read it. It can have that sort of impact on people.
This was given to me as an 18th birthday present and has been read many times. An absolute favourite.
