Parish and Richards have the case of a boy in a cardboard box discarded in Rye Meads Nature Reserve, and there’s no match on the database to the DNA found on the body. Blake and Gilbert are given a decomposing forearm dug up in Coopersale Woods by a British bulldog called Brutus. They find more than enough evidence in the woods, but can they trust it?
Tim Ellis was born in the bowels of Hammersmith Hospital, London, on a dark and stormy night, and now lives in Cheshire with his wife and one ShihTzu. In-between, he joined the Royal Army Medical Corps at eighteen and completed twenty-two years service, leaving in 1993 having achieved the rank of Warrant Officer Class 1 (Regimental Sergeant Major). Since then, he settled in Essex, and worked in secondary education as a senior financial manager, in higher education as an associate lecturer/tutor at Lincoln and Anglia Ruskin Universities, and as a consultant for the National College of School Leadership. His final job, before retiring to write fiction full time in 2009, was as Head and teacher of Behavioural Sciences (Psychology/Sociology) in a secondary school. He has a PhD and an MBA in Educational Management, and an MA in Education.
As always, I’m a great follower of Tim Ellis’ writing. I thoroughly enjoyed all the components of the different detectives adventures which had me laughing out loud. However, even though the swearing has stopped the profanity has crept up hence four stars awarded. The twist at the end was unexpected so it’ll be interesting to see what happens next. Thank you for keeping me entertained today. I’ve just completed this well written book.
Spectacular. The story of Parish & Richards, et al, just gets better and better with every book. Tim Ellis is one of a kind. I hope he never stops writing!!!!
I stoped reading the books when lots of caricatures appeared. Since it went back to the main caricatures Parish and Richards the books are so much better. Lots of humour, intrigue and quite exiting in parts. I can recommend this book.
Having read every Parish and Richards book I found this to be one of the best. The banter was very funny and the appearance of Kowalski was brilliant. What an unexpected ending. Can't wait for the next one.
From book one to now book 32 I have grown to know these characters as family. I love all the Tim Ellis series as he has such a gift for telling the story and engaging the reader. Even down to lunch and pudding.
Another masterpiece of mystery and drama. Never saw the ending coming. The two plot lines are outstanding and well developed. I read it over two days...could not put it down. But the ending..firmly planted in mid air. Hope the next one comes out soon
I just loved this book I have read them all but this one was really good and I highly recommend if your a Parish and Richards fan you won't be disappointed
