The first time I met Ronan Kennedy face-to-face, it was while he was screaming down a fresh-faced analyst for being less than perfect at his job. And what's worse, he then tried to fire me for being in the way when said analyst turned away and fled—smashing my lucky cactus and ruining my knitting in the process, mind you. Needless to say, I wasn’t impressed. But I also wasn’t ready for the unemployment queue. So, digging deep, I made sure Ronan had zero excuse to let me go, working myself to the bone—while squeezing in a little time for knitting every day—to make sure his previously chaotic team was now running like clockwork. I deserve a raise, but the annoyingly gorgeous boss-from-he!! barely even uttered a thanks. Jerk. That is, until I’m almost poached from his team and he’s forced to face the hard truth—treat me as an equal or lose me forever. To his credit, that's exactly what happens. And that’s when things get really interesting…

DNF at 57%. There are so many improbable things in this book and I just can’t anymore.
Her brother gets her the job but she goes by a different name so no one knows.
The dude decides to quit his job and start a new company. He makes the decision and a couple hours later, sends in his resignation, invites his team to leave, and starts the new company. That’s ridiculous. This author didn’t even try to be a little realistic.
The heroine is allowed to knit for hours at her job everyday. Cause she’s sooooo good that she gets all her work done by noon and also, helps a bunch of her coworkers get their work done.
She bad talks herself, which is annoying.
It’s fine if I could shut off my brain. But I can’t and there are too many books out there that are better. On to the next author.
Becca's proclivity to knit whenever she has downtime, even at work, made me like her more as it's something I've done before. I love how drawn in Ronan is to the sounds that help soothe his inner beast.
Overall, I really like Becca Maxwell and Ronan Kennedy as a couple. In addition to the building chemistry that eventually bursts free, they balance each other. They also have fantastic friends who help propel them forward as individuals and a couple. It is reciprocal, with no judgments made. ❤💞🤗💞❤
While the book was longer than I anticipated, it was a joy to read. I laughed and loved right along with these two.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
"My eyes stray to where she's weaving her way through the crowd, and when she locks eyes with mine, she seems surprised to see me. Me too, sweet girl. Me too."
Read 2: I’ve gotten over the use of the word “dowdy” and have bumped this up to 5 stars lol. I loved Ronan so much. He loved her for who he was a changed his entire life for her. Love it.
I thought this was a good read! I think that Becca could have easily slipped into being an annoying heroine but Megan Wade kept her enjoyable. Ronan was a good jerk hero and Scott, the office buddy, was a great addition.
My only complaint? The use of the word "dowdy". Now, I don't think I've ever read that word outside of a book and even in books, I haven't come across it in years. If one character had said it, fine. Not a big deal. But like four characters used the word several times and there is just NO WAY that these separate people kept coming up with the word dowdy to describe the way that Becca dresses. I know it's small but it got a little exasperating.
A big thank you to everyone who read and loved Ronan & Becca’s story! I wanted to give you all the grumpy boss experience but with the sweet heat, low drama way you’ve all come to expect from me. I had so much fun with these two! Enjoy.
I thought that this was a really good book. I really liked Becca and Ronan together. The connection and chemistry was wonderful between these two. I thought Becca was amazing; I loved her sweetness yet sassiness and take no lip attitude. I enjoyed this book and I would recommend it and Ms. Megan as a wonderful author.

Office Romance. This was supposed to be a romcom only it wasn't funny and there wasn't any witty banter. This was just a generic story that was slapped together. The grammar and spelling were well done. The characters and plot forgettable.

5 ⭐ I loved it. I’ll revisit it like an old friend. This book is moving right into my favorites category. I would recommend it to everyone, even people that don’t ask. I’ll one click this author’s work in the future. 4 ⭐ A great read. I’ll probably reread again when feeling nostalgic. It was enjoyable, not portable magic. I would recommend it. 3 ⭐ I liked it. It was a nice way to pass the time. I doubt I’ll reread it. I’d recommend it to someone asking for a specific genre. Thanks for the memories. 2 ⭐ I completed the Herculean task of finishing this book. At times, it felt like I was Prometheus and the suffering would never end. It just wasn’t for me but I applaud the author for their effort. 1 ⭐ I couldn’t finish this book or I wish I hadn't finished. How do I put this? It’s not me, it’s you.
Wow. I don't know why I always t get recommendations from book groups because this one was really boring and improbabe.
Shes a bbw (big beautiful woman) who gets a job at a venture capitalist firm as a admin but she gets stuff done so quickly cuz she's a young whippersnapper and smart. So she knits for most of the day. she makes scarves, sweaters for the cold office and for gifts. Shes talented yall.
The wall st. Jerk? He is basically grumpy because he has incompetent people working for him so he yells a lot at them. But she comes aboard and takes the admin helm and things start to go GREAT. Ok den. he is mostly non talkative around her because he wants to bend her over the desk and has a 24/7 hard on. In the office. Ok den.
He decides to leave to make his own venture capitalist firm and leaves with h and another guy jerry Maguire style. So not original 😬😬😬😬 its basically jerry Maguire but less "show me the money" yelling.
DAFUQ. So boring. If you want boring, here's the book you want!

A quick read with a lovely story and a great banter!
Loved how easily the dialogue flew and the nice theme it had, especially how charmingly wicked Ronan called Becca "cashmere". I could easily imagine him smirching. I also liked how beautifully the hero and the heroine both evolved and how each of them got over some issues. All in all, a great short read.
I received a copy of this in order to offer my honest opinion.
2.5 ⭐️ A sweet, cute novella with decent writing/editing but I struggled to stay interested and started skimming about 60% of the way through. I never felt any really connection between the main couple and he really wasn’t that much of a jerk or grump. I liked the heroine’s knitting and baking hobbies and that she was super good at her job. Very short steamy scenes but overall this one is sweet rather than hot.
Megan Wade has written another awesome book with Wall St Jerk. Ronan and Becca were so amazing together and their chemistry was undeniable - Cute and steamy couple. Their story was interesting, very well written and I definitely recommend reading this book. If you enjoy office romance, this is for you. Looking forward to more from this author! 5 stars.
This was cute and fun. It’s a very quick read and is exactly what the author promises - it’s light and fluffy, there’s nothing complicated about it, and there’s a real escapist element to it.
The chemistry between Ronan and Becca is good and I enjoyed how their romance played out. She stood up to him in a way that was quite endearing and it was fun to watch him fall in deeper with her.
As a whole the book is just light and really easy to read. I’d definitely pick up something by this author again if I wanted to read something fluffy.
Content Notes: Workplace, boss/employee, personal assistant, grumpy/sunshine, plus size FMC, instalove / instalust.
Cute, steamy, office romance. Admin assistant, Becca works in a venture capitalist company on Wall Street. She is catapulted into a promotion as Ronan’s PA when he fires yet another assistant & dreads working for him. Grumpy Ronan has exceptionally high standards and can’t abide anyone who falls short of his expectations. I loved the fact that Becca is a BBW, with little confidence around men, preferring to indulge in her various craft projects. As a reader I liked both the main characters and enjoyed the way they are both changed by their mutual attraction, especially when it is threatened to be derailed by a secret Becca is keeping. An enjoyable romance, with a satisfactory HEA.
I freaking loved this story❤️❤️❤️ Becca is the new assistant for the the devil or better the jerk of the Wall St. Ronan. He is this loud and demanding boss that has high standards and a whole lot of attitude. Becca is sweet and friendly but with sass too🤣🤣 They work well together and sparks fly.... A proposition for Becca from another man makes him crazy and he finally claims his woman 😍😍😍😍 Instalove story with romance, sweetness, steam, a few twists and turns, totally safe and with a sweet HEA at the end😍😍😍😍 Can't wait for the next story in this series 👍👍👍
Cute and we love big girl representation but there wasn’t much conflict. I kept waiting for there to be something else bc the conflict there was was small and resolved quickly which like yes, is healthy communication lol but the main conflict could have been something bigger less under their control that they had to figure out, some big issue with the company or the brother or something, idk. Just felt like okay so nothing else is gonna happen and things just work out for them? Like good for them but not exciting story wise lol

A very cute short read. I was giggling and smiling the whole time. Rooting for my knitting queen from start to finish. Shes got some spunk. And big grumpy pants? Yeah he's not so tough and dismissive when it comes to his most competent assistant to date. He'll do whatever it takes to keep her, and to have her be his. I really love quick reads, but I ADORE cute stories like this. The spice was lovely when it happened. And I really wasn't expecting it to be that hot when it happened. I love a mmc who isn't scared to talk dirty. If you want something easy, funny, and a little spicy, then this is for you.
So it was sweet and fluff filled but my god was it fast paced. They went from not wanting to speak to each other to married within a year. Also she just happened to be really good at her job? No explanation she was just better than everyone else so she was allowed to knit? I just didn’t gel with the storyline or the characters I’m afraid but I did finish it so that counts for something.

A very fluffy filler read, the grumpy successful MMC and a no nonsense curvy FMC hooked me, it was a very short book and a little bit too insta love for my liking, everything felt slightly rushed but sometimes a girl just wants to imagine a world where people fall in love fast and hard and have no communication issues. I needed Ronan to be a bit more grumpy but otherwise, not bad, had a good time.
This story is a sweet HEA about a girl who loves to knit and sleep in who meet a really hard driven wall st worker. What can warm knitting and sweet smiles do to a stone heart? Read on. Another well written story line a quick romance read to make you feel nice in side

This was such a fun book. I really liked Becca as she was so no nonsense, smart and knows exactly what she wants. Ronan really needs to work on his game, but I guess it doesn't matter when Becca falls for him at first sight. Though this romance might be a bit unconventional, they truly fit so well together, and is there ever a sizzling attraction between them. I really enjoyed reading on these two grow together and blossom.

It was a quick and entertaining lead. I identify a lot with the lead. I think the writing was pretty good. I just felt like the plot was a little simple. Good steamy scenes though 😉
Becca first meets Ronan when she becomes his assistant. Becca does not tolerate Ronan's grumpiness. She works hard while still maintaining her crafty side and staying true to herself. When Becca is approached by someone else, will Ronan finally recognize Becca?

I wish I could DNF more books because this would have been one. It just wasn’t fleshed out well, nobody talks to each other like they did in this book and worst of all, instalove.
