Harmony Raines loves to write romance filled with magic and love. Her men are usually not so alpha, but they know how to treat their fated mates, or alien lovers well.

Just my way of saying thank you for giving my books a try.
The Dragon Shifter’s Desire is the sixth title in The Bonds of Brothers series and brings this series to a close which is always a bittersweet moment for me. However. We are not done with this Wishing Moon Bay Universe and there is an emotional, and enticing segway into the spin-off series of Dragon Protectors of Wishing Moon Bay throughout Ivan and Larisa’s story. It doesn’t take over their story but adds to it giving us a taste of what possibly will come… which is one of my favorite ways to slide into a new, connecting series.
Ivan has been one of my favorites in this series, the chef with an attitude, a snarky tone, and a heart of gold for his family. His aloneness, his pain, and the questions that plague him have always been there quietly in the background. With each new story in the series, a touch move of what might be Ivan’s past has come to light. Now it’s about to burst open as questions get answers… but inevitably lead to even more questions.
I loved the inclusion of all the characters we’ve come to know and love, especially Fiona and Silas since they had a great deal to do with what happened in Ivan’s life. We’ll get to travel back to the Fae Realm for important information, and perhaps a few surprises, get information from Fiona and Silas, and finally travel to the island across the bay that houses the dragon’s isle. We’ll also get a feel for how the next series will flow and meet a few key players.
Larisa and Ivan just fit together so well. And the irony of their lives is not lost on us. It would be far too easy to give away spoilers (yes, even now since the books have been out for a bit) so I’m going to leave discovering what this couple learns about the past and their plans for the future. I’m sorry to see this series close, but I’m definitely looking forward to what comes next for the residents (new and old) of Wishing Moon Bay. Be prepared for some danger, some sizzle, some laughter, and some tears… and that happy ending that is so well deserved for them all. I had a blast here and would highly recommend this series to any Paranormal/Shifter Romance reader who loves intrigue, snark, danger, finding that forever mate, and falling in love for a lifetime.
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
3.5 stars as I just didn’t connect to heroine. Wonderful to read Ivan’s story at long last. The final brother and one who has been quietly in the background, running the hotel kitchen and caring for his family through food. I did find it hard to get into this as Larissa’s sometimes mean and see sawing attitude grated. It took me longer to read this than is normal for a book by this author. Larissa knowing about mates and thinking how nice and secure it would be but then complaining about being manipulated by fate put me off her. We also get told quite a few times that she is a strong, independent woman but at the same time she is talking about taking their children dragon riding. Got whiplash with her changing tune. It was a great story that gave us a lot of answers to questions from the last book, well it pretty much tied everything up from the whole series really. Fiona was a major player too and Silas called in his favours. Loved getting to know Ivan a bit better and though I never really warmed up to Larissa, she did do her part quite bravely. Read through Kindle Unlimited.
I have been waiting for this story for a while. Ivan has been so patient helping when his brothers all found their mates. Now it is his turn. Also, there is such a mystery about his past. Larisa is trying to prove her father's innocence, when he was framed for murdering Ivan's parents and another man. Ivan goes to meet with her father who he has discovered was really friends with his father. There he finally meets his mate. But she wants to clear her father's name. So they work together to unravel the whole thing. There is a lot going on here. Many questions from the previous stories are answered. I am going to have to re-read all of these in order at one time to really get the full effect. I can't wait!
The pace is fast but not breakneck and the tone is uncertain yet hopeful with a character oriented storyline that has some action and some slightly steamy scenes. The characters are vibrant and engaging. We get to revisit some familiar faces while meeting some new ones. I am looking forward to reading more from Wishing Moon Bay.
This is an OK shifter romance, with a likable couple -- but it seemed a little slow to me. I'm not sure why, because it wasn't especially long, but maybe it needed more showing and less telling. I also wanted a little more backstory on both Ivan and Larisa. It gets 3 stars from me.
The couple does fall in instalove, which is typical for shifter romances. There are sex scenes, but they are not overly explicit.
I liked Ivan, and I liked that he didn't try to push Larisa to accept him as her mate immediately. He understood that she needed to prove her father's innocence before she would be able to truly commit to a relationship with him, so he set out to help her do that.
I did think that Larisa would have had a harder time accepting the whole shifter and fated mates thing. She wasn't a shifter, and was incredibly angry over a dragon shifter framing her father for murder, so I think she would have had a tough time with being the fated mate of a dragon shifter. I did like that she still gave Ivan a chance, and didn't automatically assume all dragon shifters were evil.
One problem I have with all of this author's series is that there is so long between books. Lots of times I have to go back and reread some of the earlier books in a series, simply because it has been so long that I don't remember all the characters. That is frustrating. I know that this author writes lots of books -- but I wish she would concentrate on one series at a time, so that the books could be published closer together. For that reason, I made a point of not starting this series until I thought it was complete.
My rating system is below. 1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it. 2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws. 3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating. 4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one. 5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.
Finding out that there are dragons in the world beyond, his parents and that he had a treasure, was alot to take in. He visits the man who was accused of killing his father. The man was framed by a greedy power hungry dragon He meets the daughter and bamn she's his mate. She figures it out too, well she wants to free her father from being framed and he agreed. So off to an adventure to find the dragon of wrong doing. They need help so his new sister and her fae fae mate helps them to go to the fae world and the grandmother helps with a potion and sends him to another fae that can help them. The far was good friends with his father and protected his treasure. They made a plan and with the help of a vampire and 2 other dragon shifters they were able to trick the power hungry dragon into confessing what he had done. The council heard the confession be and was able to get rid of him. Her father is saved, he knows more of his parents, has his treasure and the love of his mate and his family.
This was the most anticipated book for me as Ivan intrigued me from the beginning of the series. He is always there for his brother's and their mate's but at some level you could feel his loneliness. When the mystery of his parents murder is known to him he will do everything in his power to find the killer. Larissa has been searching for dragon shifters all around the world to prove her father innocent but she never expected one to knock on her door nevertheless be her fated mate. Together they begin the quest of unraveling the truth in which Zara and Karros are with them at every step. Everything is at stake including the future of Dragon Isle and Fae realm. It's a fun read packed with action, drama, emotions and many mysteries. The major disappointed in the book for me was Larissa and the mystery of Aiden and Caleb's parents death and their kidnapping not being solved. I just couldn't get myself to like Larissa's character. Apart from which it's a good read 😁.
Yeah!!! Ivan finally got his book! The last of the band of brothers. But of course, there is never smooth sailing when it comes to these brothers and their mates. Larisa is the daughter of the man who is accused of murdering Murray. She is trying to find the real murderer who she believes is a dragon. Of course some of the residents of Wishing Moon Bay also join in the hunt. We also get to see Fiona. We get to meet several new characters that I'm sure will get to have books of their own.
Spoiler Alert::
I wish we got more information on who exactly both of Ivan's parents were. Maybe we will get more of a clear background in a future book. I just personally feel as if I didn't learn much about them except Andor was a decent and nice guy. Nothing at all about who his mother was.
Wishing Moon Bay. A Magical place where anything can happen.
You won't see the sign unless it wants you to come into the town. Ivan is a dragon shifter who never knew his parents. He was raised by Valerie along with his brothers, other shifters she adopted. His life as a chief in her hotel's restaurant is disrupted when a small crown, part of a hoard he knows nothing about, arrives at the hotel. He learns his parents were murdered. Then a jewel is found that leads him to his mate, whose father was framed for their murder! The clues lead them on a chase you won't believe! If this is your first Wishing Moon Bay book, stop! Start at the beginning and read them in order. You may need some vacation time, because you won't be able to stop once you begin the series!
I have been waiting patiently for Ivan to find his mate. There are so many questions that need to be answered! What happened to his parents, where did he come from, what secrets are held in the dragon isle Cairnnor? Larisa has been looking for answers to clear her fathers name. He has been a suspect in the killing of his good friend and dragon shifter Andor for over thirty yrs. When Ivan meets Larisa, together they must figure out how to get answers before they move forward with their life. They must travel to the Fae Realm, a place dragons are not welcome. Will they finally get answers, or will the need to head to dragon isle? This was my favorite book in the series, though I am thrilled that these boys of Valerie's finally found their mates! Check this story out today!
This was a great read! The mystery has been solved! YES after following the brother of Wishing Moon Bay in a intertwined mystery filled with plots suspense , danger, meeting new characters, shisty folks and falling in love, we get the answer to how and why it started. Valerie deserves a medal as a single mom who raised the men to be good well rounded men, family members and partners. As always shifters are over protective but here we find the Ivan not only meets his mate but his equal. Larisa is as much as protective as he is and just as strong and may be a little more. Awesome as always.
And all is well in Wishing Moon Bay. Ivan now knows where his parents came from, and solved the mystery of the locket that involves so many of his family in Wishing Moon Bay. And in the process found his mate Larisa, and helped her clear her fathers name. But so sad that so many others had to die because of a dragon without morals, and he got what he deserved. You have to wander what secrets Silas has cause I can bet there is something there that he doesn't want anyone knowing about the old red dragon Argothorn..anyway so looking forward to Egan story and Silas..big fan as always Winzie19🤗💞.
The last of the brothers to find his mate, Ivan goes into the World Beyond to visit Fiona and her family, also dragon shifters. Then he visits Davy, a reclusive man caught up being accused of murder he didn't commit. Larissa is Davy's daughter -- and Ivan's mate. They plan to catch the evil dragon who killed Ivan's parents and others, including the man Davy is accused of killing. Lots of plotting, twists and turns, tension and determining who can or cannot be trusted. A thrilling ending. Love her books!
Larissa and her family have been seeking a dragon shifter for quite awhile now one is going to just show up at her home. They have been after answers and the truth of how killed her father’s friend Andor and his wife because someone tried to pin it on him. Now with the help of Ivan the Dragon shifter and son of Andor they will find and get justices for all of them. So enjoy another good read and see how they get a HEA !!
I loved, loved, loved, this entire series. The love of a mom and her adopted sons and mates was weaved throughout the stories, kept me engaged, and wishing I could stay awake to finish each one. I have loved all Harmony's stories but this series really spoke to me. I also loved old friends from other series, being introduced into these stories. Beautiful writing and enjoyable characters.
The culmination of the series, finally finishing the tale of the children who had been kidnapped and all those connected to those crimes.
A dragon shifter brought to justice for four murders, two humans , now long passed, who aided and abetted the evil have cleared a man untruthfully charged with murder. The twisted threads of fate have joined all six brothers with their fated mates, making the family Valerie grew even larger.
A great book and a great series!! Ivan is the last of his brother's to find his mate! Larisa has been looking for a dragon shifter for most of her life! The dragon shifter that framed her father for murder! Ivan and Larisa team up to find Ivan's parent murderer!!
I was so looking forward to the end of Bond of Brothers and I wasn't disappointed. Would love ❤ to have more Wishing Moon Bay .I have read most of Harmony Raines books and I just keep rereading them. Looking forward to the next book. Thanks Heaps Helen Young.
This book was amazing! Fate brought everyone together and come full circle to right the wrongs. This book was full of adventures that captures your attention all the way through to the end. I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to read what Harmony has coming up next with Egan's story. Harmony is a wonderful writer and her stories are heartwarming.
Ivan the Dragon shifter last of the Bonded Brothers to find his mate, from that comes a gripping and comp!ex story f justice and freeing the Dragon Isle of a tyrannical ruler. A happy ending plus the promise of more Wishing Moon Bay stories which are all totally absorbing enjoyable and recommended
Ivan is the last brother to find his mate while trying to find out about his past. Together with his mate Larissa and his extended family Ivan’s past unfolds.
The Dragon Shifters Desire by Harmony Raines. Ivan the last of the 6 brothers to find his mate. Almost before he can take a breath he is off with his mate Larisa to find out who murdered his parents and also got her father falsely accused of murder.
I knew Ivan would have the best story. Adventure, cameos and bring closure to start a knew live filled with love and happiness. Can't wait for the spin-off stories.
I really enjoyed Ivan and Larissa’s story. Harmony did a great job developing the characters and their relationship as well as a very detailed and defined storyline. Editing was a little bit of a problem for me but in the track from my reading enjoyment.
The hero finds his fated mate in the heroine. This book was a little on the slow side and not super steamy but had sex scenes in good places in the book. I’ll be reading more from this author
I really loved reading about these brothers and their mates. There were some funny moments and the romantic scenes were awesome. I hope we get to read more about Wishing Moon Bay.
Couldn't put it down loved the characters and the storyline and can't wait to read more in this series so it's a well deserved five stars and I would recommend it to everyone
I feel like I’m entering the story in the middle. It’s obvious I was supposed to read the series in order. But this so far is boring and has a stupid fated mates beginning. DNF at 8%. Not worth trying the read the beginning.
It’s amazing how these 6 brothers by adoption have their lives so intertwined. This series has shifters, fae and magic. Can’t wait to start the next series adventure.
What a great end to this series, so full of great characters and storyline that makes it so easy to fall in love with. I am so looking forward to the next round of books as it moves from one place to the next.
