When Rusty moved his family to Earth, it was supposed to be for a better life. Ending up on a prison world in Alpha Centauri was not in his plans. But things don't always go as planned. Now he must survive on a hostile new world, with little more than the clothes on his back and his will to live, but what is life without his family? Was it possible to make a new one? How could he even think about such a thing? Feeling the guilt over the choices that led him here, Rusty must still face a new life, whether he wants it or not.And to make matters worse, something doesn't smell right...[Error translating odor] [Memory recovery sequence started:] Jack Hammer here! Your local Ad-bot and self-proclaimed ever-popular narrator! Telling another chronicle of the year 3420, the story that I'm introduced in! Which means this is the most important one ever! To be kind, I'll tell it as if the others are important. I will have to embellish some, but we really know why people should be reading this... We must apologize as the Xenograft Patches for instant-memory implantation of our books are no longer available since the unfortunate and accidental overwriting of our last test subj--err--reviewer's childhood memories, but if you are still interested in reading, and with our hope, reviewing, we have two novels of a series that could be provided in the ancient digital and squashed tree formats. The chronicles are named LAIS Incarcerated and Rusty Incarcerated, and they would both be classified as scifi adventure. LAIS was a little adult. We apologize for that, our narrate-o-bot's adult filter failed. Most glitches were worked out by the time it got to Rusty, and in the future we hope to have the adult filter functioning flawlessly. Note, if you experience any overwritten memories, we would direct you to contact our legal department [error: no address found].
Congratulations to Foxx Ballard on another great book. The story flowed nicely and I could vividly picture the alien characters in their many environments. I loved Rusty's character and one particular twist concerning Mogul. (No spoilers here.) I can't wait until book #3 comes out.
