The first book is astonishing. You're taken to the world of Sigar and Bahung, where a group of free-spirited people are motivated to make a socialist community in a time and place where left-wing view will most likely cost a person their life.
The second book is more on the entertainment side. Reminds me of the 1980s cultural trend of hypsexualization. What makes this book different is the fact that the sex parts are actually a part of the abuse of power in Indonesia around that time. It's quite smart, opinionated, while also drawing attention from the readers at that era who were just so oppressed they simply couldn't enjoy anything without sex in it.
All in all, I really enjoyed this book. It's a good peek-through the 1980s literature in Indonesia, set in the very strict regime of the 1960s.
