Gripping

Loved it from the beginning to read it all in one go and the twist in the plot at the end was unexpected and leaves you hanging

the story is a bit choppy but you get the gist. Selena is a cat burglar, working for an organization that doesn't always do the right thing. She has powers and a lost memory. Yet, she tries to do the right thing. She doesn't always get it right, but she always tries to make it right. Her world comes tumbling down, when she learns the truth about the organization and her former partner. Especially, when some one close to her dies. Now she is out for revenge and she won't let anyone step in her way.

Fatima Fayez’s novel “Magic Alias” is book one in the Paranormal Agent Mystery series. It’s a relaxed reading of fantasy and crime mystery with magic and magical creatures. It supplies plot twists and action. The main character, Selena Valeron, is easy to like. She’s interesting and primed for character growth. She’s suffering from memory loss and unexpected changes in her magic abilities.

“Magic Alias” packs a soft punch at the end while leaving the story open for more because of its unanswered questions. Overall, it’s a pleasant read.

The jury is still out.

Not sure about this one. There is something missing, characters are bit one dimensional? Lead character had an incident before the story starts that altered her mind. The rest is pretty standard A to B stuff with little deviation from a formula. Book two, not sure, jury is still out deciding either buy or ignore.
