This box set contains 3 release's of the creative Ms. Z. Grey. There is so much to adore about these publications, that I do not know where to start.
I received an advanced reader's copy of Complete Mafia's Dark Romance Series, from The Bad Boys Update, in exchange for my honest and voluntarily given opinion. I encourage all fans of dramatic/intriguing romance to devour this set; ASAP.
Molly Chastain was only sixteen when she found her parents dead in bed. He father had tried to encroach onto an other mafia’s family territory. This was the payback. Josh was supposed to kill everyone in the house but when he saw Molly he knew he couldn’t. Marco her older brother had come down from college to take care of everything. Lana her aunt was looking after Molly. Six months after his father died Josh asked Nate to find Molly she would now be twenty six and he wanted to know how she was doing. Molly was doing well for herself she had three restaurants each doing well.she had moved to San Francisco from LA after graduating high school. Marco moved there as well and so she settled into her life. Until one night when there was a fire in the garden of the house opposite. Then she met Josh and so there romance started. This is a great story that keeps you reading. I received an ARC for an honest review which I have given
After the first hundred pages I literally skimmed the entire rest of the book just to see if it had an ending I could at least enjoy ( no it didn’t). The internal monologue’s of these characters stretched out every single scene in the entire series. While it was well written with no editing errors I have to say that this was the most boring stupid a** book that I have read in a long time. And not only that but just think of the premise of this book, yes this is a spoiler, he kills her parents in cold blood, he plans to kill her brother and even though he wasn’t the one that actually killed him he was going there that day to do it. And she just rolls over and accepts all of this? end it wasn’t even for a juicy reason like revenge. It was just simply business her parents and brother were encroaching on his drug routes. Nothing really redeemed this book for me, the sex scenes were few and far between and had no heat. I really don’t know how you can make a death scene last so long with just internal monologue of characters. There was no real action in this book for all of the flipping internal thinking. Seriously I’m a speed reader and I’m also really stubborn about finishing Books no matter what. But for all of the other people that it takes time for them to read a book this long, don’t invest in this. just don’t bother with this one move on, don’t even attempt it.
This was a good story even if it left some things out. I enjoyed the fact that it was a boxed set but felt that it didn't need to be. No cliffhangers was great but it still seemed to ramble on for too long. I didn't feel it needed to take up over 90 chapters to tell this story unless it was going to tell more than 1 story. I was expecting a Mafia story to have more "mafia" stuff going on. Only a couple gun fights and 1 conflict. Needed more action but I have to admit I kept reading to see how Molly was going to handle Josh's biggest secret but I skimmed over parts that seemed monotonous. I'm contemplating another book from this author but I'll wait a while.
This story takes place over three books. Molly is a restaurant owner who is trying to deal with a trauma. Josh is a mafia boss who has secret. When Josh and Molly meet up, through his orchestration, their connection 8s instant. As they try to form a relationship his secret can break them apart. But it also may break apart Molly and her brother Marcus. This book is filled of secrets, lust, hatred, action, and family drama. It will keep your attention.
This was an interesting read, however it could have been one book. It took a lot to get into it. The author needs to edit out to many repeating phrases. Again, good premise but way to long to get to the end. This took me over two weeks to read. I apologize for my review but please go back and edit. Maybe a book could have been on Nate. Just a thought
I usually like Zoey Gray's work but I hated this one. What I expected to take one and a half days went into the fifth. I got so tired of reading Molly and Josh's interior monologues! Same things over and over. Little or no witty conversation. And in three books, about three short action scenes. Boring!
If you love your mafia romances with a dark side then this is the set for you! I love that this is a set so you don't have to wait for the next book, you can dive right in! Molly and Josh's story takes place over the three books and I loved it! I received this ARC from Bad Boy Updates.
An entertaining story with a mafia theme. I thought this was a very good story. The characters had chemistry. The secrets made the story intriguing. The play out had me on the edge of my seat. I requested a copy of this book and am voluntarily writing a review.
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were great. Such a change from the normal routine. Josh and Molly really made this store so real. Can't wait to find another Zoey Grey book.
This book did not keep my interest at all I fell asleep reading it. Nothing keep my attention wanting to read it in one day. It dragged on when it should have just ended
OK this was about josh and molly ..... for me was a long wasted read ..I mean i liked it don't get me wrong....it was ok ...Needed more action ...but I skimmed over parts that seemed monotonous because it was a lot and I mean a lot of repetition..........It had a good story line. ... The book would have been better if the author just got to the point sooner .......... other than a constant repeat this book also had spelling errors and needed better editing or proofing
