Rigby
At twenty, I could confidently say that I was happy with my life the way it was, but I couldn’t say the same about my past.
There were things I wish I knew.
Things that would make me understand why I grew up in foster care.
Nevertheless, I was happy, and I didn’t think a forty-six-year-old single dad and his toddler would ever add to my happiness.
The moment Grant and his four-year-old son Benny walked into my life, I never imagined connecting with them so deeply.
But every rose has its thorn, and I learned that the hard way.

Grant
Benny’s my everything, and I didn’t let women other than his mother close to him. Not unless it was necessary.
Rigby was one of those women. The day I brought Benny to his first day of daycare, it was her I had to trust to take good care of my son. But what I never intended on doing was trusting and getting close to her myself.
Rigby was easy to love, no matter the age difference between us, but with her past coming back to haunt her unexpectedly, it clashed with my own and put our love to the test.

This is an interracial love and age gap of 26 years novel.

this book was somehow cute, hot af, heartwarming, and bittersweet all at the same time. grant starts taking his son benny to a new daycare where he meets beautiful, polite (and young) rigby. the two hit it off instantly, and he soon learns she’s not always so quiet and polite in the bedroom 👀🔥

i love that grant & rigby were a couple for the majority of this book. i feel like it is way too common in romance books for the couple to spend 75% of the book miscommunicating, fighting the attraction, being secretive, etc. and then we rarely get to see them just happy together! so it was a breath of fresh air to see a mature couple just be happy and decide to make a go of it. while grant & rigby each had their individual struggles, it was heartwarming to see how they helped each other get through those times and never leave each other’s sides. and of course i absolutely loved that wells, rooney & ira were such a big part of this story as well 😍 grant & rigby’s chemistry was unmatched, they were seriously perfect for each other.

5 stars!

Seven Rue has made it incredibly hard for me to not completely fall in love with her books! the characters, their unique names, the love, I just can’t help but swoon & cry along with the characters & story whenever they have emotions. if possible, I think I liked this book even better than book 1, Undisclosed Desire. But with the characters, their friendships & their love, it just made everything about the stories so much better.

Grant & Rigby’s story was different. while there is a 20+ yesr age gap, I never felt the overwhelming sense of it. They meshed together so well & seamlessly. Benny was the cutest kid & I really enjoyed that story & how everyone seemed okay with their budding relationship. Grant & Rigby’s love was fast & overwhelming, but I loved every minute of it.

Burning Desire...he was such an asshole to her when they first meet and she was this sweet Innocent girl. so I would say that their was 'burning desire' between them from the start. Grant calling her a raccoon was low but it added to his charm, at least rigby thought so. I have to admit though it wasn't your average single dad meets young girl and age-gap romance. It had depth to it, I would say that the majority of seven rue books do. she manages to turn boring romance into something hot, spicy and thrilling. On a side note I liked Woodstock, he seemed so sweet and gentle for st Bernard. I really want to meet him now. It was nice to see where Wells and Rooney have gone since undisclosed desire. If you haven't read undisclosed desire I would recommend it, I think I liked it more. I read it probably two years ago, though. so I don't remember that much. really there is isn't much more I can say without ranting (I probably already did though). pick it up if your in a seven rue book slump or any book slump. her books keep you interested long enough to make you obsessed and then you just want to read everything...well maybe that's just me.

Absolutely loved it!:3 I swear I needed some time for myself at the end ): And yes like always.. I cried at the end ._. XD
It was soo cute and hot and ahhhh!🤤❤️
I love the “… Desire” Books! Even tho there isn’t much Sex happening (which is definitely not missing here!) it’s a great change to the other books by Seven :3

BUT PLEASE BENNY AND IRA 😭🤧❤️ Ira is the sweetest boy!! I absolutely adored and loved him in UD and this didn’t change much in BD! But now we also got to know Benny better and goddamn. How can someone create kids that are this cute?! *babyfever* 🥺❤️
These two have my full heart and I pray that they will never ever stop being friends! And I hope they will be best friends with Sunny and Neo too!:3 (= Seven confirmed that Benny and Ira will get their own books, Maybe we will get some MM ooooor RH like.. Her mind is twisted but so good! XD)

I read this when Seven Rues book were back on Amazon for about a day or so. I was looking forward to reading this and hoping it would get me out of my reading slump and I wasn’t wrong. Her writing style is fast paced and you feel like you are already 50% through the book when in reality you are only 30% through and I love that style.
This follows Rigby and Grant. This is an age-gap, interracial romance novel. This has to be one of my favorite Seven Rue books I loved their relationship it had me blushing and smiling so much. I hope Amazon allows her to put her books back on Amazon because I’m in a book buying and I want to read more of her book soon.

I saw myself a lot in the main character in the beginning. But towards the end I felt like her personality didn’t match/became 2 dimensional.

I really liked this one in the beginning but the story didn’t progress fast or entertaining enough for me. It was super stilted at times. Almost like 2 did people were writing sentence by sentence. It also had some typos. I will be checking out more of her books though!

I got about 50% in and I have to say I am bored. I didn’t like him. He didn’t hesitate to ask his son’s nanny out. He invited her to his house on the 1st date and had a “sleepover” with his son in the next room, then ask her to stay with them for breakfast because the kid “wouldn’t know what he was seeing”. I didn’t like her either. She was too eager and willing from the start. I didn’t feel chemistry between them. The whole thing felt rushed. I’m not going to continue.

Harassing taboo authors and getting them banned out of pettiness and jealousy ? Nah, you can burn for that. Readers: DO NOT SUPPORT THIS AUTHOR. She’s been anonymously attacking other taboo authors, getting them banned from Amazon, and ruining their livelihoods! There are FAR better authors out there that aren’t completely psycho obsessed like this one.

Description:
Age gap. This is book 2 in the Desire series. Read Undisclosed Desire (Wells and Rooney’s story prior to this).

Grant is a single dad at 46 of a 4-year-old little boy. He is a firefighter and was burned on the job, forcing him to take time off to heal. While needing time to heal, his son is dropped off at a daycare so he can go to physical therapy.

Rigby loves kids and wants to have five of her own someday. She loves kids so much that when shes’s not working at the daycare, she wants to spend her free time babysitting.

This is the story of how Grant and Rigby meet…

Review:
If you’ve read Undisclosed Desire, Burning Desire follows along with that story, the characters crossover into each other’s books. It’s an unpretentious love story, where the characters are sweet and they care for each other, and as a reader, you want them to succeed - it’s the type of book you get butterflies from while reading it because it’s so darn adorable.

I blew through this book, only being released yesterday. When I first read Undisclosed Desire, I fell in love with the story. The characters were just lovely, and I’ve never read a book with a child being heavily present all throughout the book. I came away absolutely loving that book. Burning Desire follows the same formula, and I felt the same love for it. Rigby, Grant and Benny (Grant’s son) had such a cute connection, even with some twists and turns along their journey getting to their happy place. I still have the warm and tinglies and the giddiness of finishing such a romantic book.

Go read these books!!!!!

P.s. I need a 3rd book about Evie 🖤

Loved it!

It was great to finally read Grant's story after reading Wells and Rooney's story. I loved Rigby and Grants chemistry and loved having Wells and Rooney and Ira in the book too.

It was so well written but then all your books are!

This book was super cute and I loved the romance between the two characters. The children are also cute as hell. However, the book felt a bit slow near the middle so I struggled at times with reading it, which is why I docked a star. Still a very entertaining read nonetheless.
