You break in through my window in the middle of the night. You tie me up, blindfold me, then do all sorts of dirty and twisted things to me, all while whispering in my ear what a good girl I am.Want to help me make this fantasy a reality?I’m not sure what’s worse;that I was drunk enough to text this fantasy to my ex-boyfriend,or discovering that it wasn’t actually him I sent it to.My best friend thought it would be hilarious to switch my ex’s name in my phone—with his father’s.The craziest part?He just replied…Ivy writes quick, sexy, forbidden age gap romances that can be devoured in one sitting
For a novella, Dirty Little Secret was awesome. It’s not often I feel that way about short erotic reads, but I seriously enjoyed he heck out of this. Featuring a wholesome young woman with a not so delicate fantasy, and the father of her ex who can fulfil it; this was smoking!
The age difference doesn't bother me. Hell, she can call me daddy as she rides my cock for all I care. If she's into that, I'll let her run wild.
Truth or Dare never ends well. When Holly reveals to her friends that she has a rape fantasy, she never expected they'd betray her trust. So of course that information ends ups in the wrong hands, or should I say the right ones?
Andrew cannot believe the opportunity that has presented itself. Will he do the honourable thing or be selfish and takes what he wants? It’s going to go either way, but the scenario is too good to decline.
"Fight me all you want, baby, you're not going anywhere. Not until I get what I came for."
A dubious consent trope isn't exactly everyone's cuppa. However if consensual role playing interests you, this novella was spot on. Where Andrew was a safe and caring hero, he was also one dirty fucker completely perfect for the role. This story wasn't exactly instalove (which I was thrilled about) so the epilogue left me chuffed. It was positively dirty!
⇒ Age gap ⇒ Ex boyfriend's father ⇒ Daddy kink ⇒ Dub-con ⇒ Rape fantasy
Some seriously risky kinks in there right? Well then why did this feel so safe.
If you know me, you'll know I'm a whore for each one of those tropes. The only one that walks a very thin line with me is rape fantasy. It's not exactly something I tend to seek out but it's not a trigger either.
I was mostly scared of this Novella being too taboo and uncomfortable, turns out I was stressing for nothing because this felt more comfortable than some of the safest books I've read.
🥰 They spoke really openly about what they want to happen (mostly through sexting which I wasn't a fan of) 🥰 Had safe words (something I genuinely appreciated) 🥰 Overall built a very trusting/honest environment where both parties felt secure
I know ya'll are probably thinking okay?? Where is the problem? Well there isn't any.
This is really great n all.....for some people.... AND I KNOW THAT'S HOW HEALTHY AND MENTALLY STABLE PEOPLE DO THINGS but I'm none of those.
Sooooo, I was bored.
The story just sort of lacked any flavour. It was all very fine, which isn't the word I'd like to use to describe anything. I didn't feel any excitement or the forbidden factor a whole lot. Simply put: the writing was not for me.
I did like the park scene tho😏. The rest? Not so much.
PS: plz don't go into this book expecting it to be safe because of my review. It still has topics you may find triggering.
I don't even smoke, but this book made me crave a cigarette after I finished it.
‘She’s like a drug. One taste and I’m addicted.’
I already knew this was going to be good and promising just by reading the synopsis. I mean, accidentally texting your ex-boyfriend's father about your fantasy―how can you not be intrigued? for me, that's all it took to get my attention.
❝ 𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐖 ❞ high adrenaline, giddiness and on fire. that's how I felt whenever andrew opened his filthy mouth―and listening to chase atlantic didn't make it any better.
“You like this?" I taunt. "Do you like being put on display like this, so anyone outside can see what an easy fucking whore you are for me?” balcony scene > park scene.
❝ 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐘 ❞ my dumbass accidentally deleted this part while I was trying to copy it and I wanted to get it back but couldn't. I'm too lazy to rewrite it. I'll come back to it when I have mustered up enough energy.
“I’m going to ruin you, Holly,” he rasps. “I want to steal every bit of your innocence and break you until you beg me to stop. And even then, I won’t.”
Ivy, if you're reading this, please write a full-length novel, so I can savor the journey and read the trigger warnings before going in because it might not be for everyone.
tw : rape fantasy, rough sex and dubious consent.

Dirty Little Secret by Ivy Arnold is short, hot, and kinky af! The author has a captivating writing style that grabs you immediately and has you flying through the pages until you reach the end. If you're into dark, age gap, and/or taboo erotica, you're in for a real treat!
It's a novella, so be mindful of that going into it. You're not going to get serious long term relationship development or anything, because that would be impossible given the length. However, it does a good job in it's 73 pages of giving you a complete short story with a satisfying ending.
If you have a thing for rape fantasy and age gap, this one's for you!
The premise of the book it’s something I’m not fond of but I thought why not take a chance and try something new!
This one delivered rape kink, age gap and boyfriend dad. And I think for it being my first one wasn’t too bad I guess, it felt kind of “safe”, don’t get me wrong, I prefer that to be witnessing a more rapey rape in a book 🙈 The SMUT wasn’t bad, but still I found this a bit boring at some points of the story.
I guess if you’re hesitant about trying something like this, I would say go with this one but probably don’t if you already like the kink.
If you’re looking for a fast read that is freaking hot, well this is the book for you! This book checks the following boxes: Taboo ☑ Age Gap ☑ Forbidden☑ Hot as he!! ☑ Sinfully delish☑ There is fantasy rape, and this might be a trigger for some.
Holly never expected for her ex’s father to be the one the receiving end of her message and she never thought what he, Andrew, could make her fantasy come true! Like I said, this was a fast read with many scorching moments that left me breathless! I won’t say more because you need to read it for yourself! Kara~4 Hot Stars
TW: Ex-boyfriend's dad, rape fantasy, dub-con, daddy kink, Age gap and so.
As a passionate all time slut for kinks and triggers. The triggers and kinks in this one meant risky business Because it would not take too much to get them wrong and that can go REALLY off the rails.
But damn how can something that SOUNDS so wrong feels so easy and safe and secure when you actually read it?
I was probably expecting too much, but this one didn't work well for me.
First of all, I hate when people use the term "rape fantasy", seriously. Forced sex / ravishment / non-con fantasy - any of those are perfectly fine words. It's 2021 ffs so can we please be done with the archaic terminology?
Second of all, I know it's not the easiest of fantasies to write just right for the story to be believable AND hot. So for a debut, it was a fine story, don't expect it to blow your mind though.
This is the first time I've read a story by Ivy Arnold. Surprisingly, I enjoyed this story way more than I have expected. At first, I thought that this will be a full-length novel, but it's actually a novella. However, it didn't feel short nor incomplete. It was done well with the way Ivy delivered the entire story.
Basically, this is a short steamy age-gap romance between Holly and Andrew. Just by reading the blurb, you can already tell what the entire story is all about. What I liked about this book is that it was really steamy but it didn't make me cringe. In fact, it was pretty hot that I couldn't help but found it enjoyable. Even the storyline flows naturally. If you're in the mood to read something short and sexy, then I definitely recommend you to read Dirty Little Secret.
Short and spicy and kinky. Exactly what I expected it to be.
This novella might trigger some readers. The author put this warning at the beginning of the story:
“Author Note - This quick, sexy novella contains scenes that may trigger some readers, including:
~Rough sex ~Dubious consent ~Rape fantasy”
If you can get past ^ those, you just might enjoy this forbidden novella.
I chose this story for a reading challenge I’m doing. The month of May is Forbidden/Taboo and I thought this one would be a good choice. I love age gap and I love the idea of the ex-boyfriend’s dad. It had a bit of daddy kink, which I’m not a huge fan, but it didn’t change the way I felt about the story.
I didn’t catch too many feels for the main characters, but I still enjoyed the story. I believe that the romance in this story is what kept me going. There was a safe word, there were safe environments, there was trust.
This was a new-to-me author and I thought the writing was good. I plan to look up more of her work as I do love naughty little taboo stories every now and then.
ARC Review * * * * * An intense wonderfully disturbing taboo read that is just delicious for those who like to cross the lines, get down and filthy and so nasty. In all that, there is the sweetness mixed in it all. But the secrecy is bound to catch up...especially when you are fall in love and getting frisky with your ex-boyfriend's father! One drunk game and a poor decision got the dominos to start falling, and now, things were breaking in the best possible way.
I appreciated this quick and spicy read! It knows what it is, isn’t afraid to be a little unhinged, and doesn’t shy away from leaning into its spicy tropes. No plot, just an FMC exploring her fantasies with a hot, older man. Better yet, with her ex-boyfriend’s hot, older dad🤩
But also, if I had to read about the FMC’s water breaking into the MMC’s face while he goes down on her in the epilogue, you do too.
There was a secret. It wasn’t little. But it was dirty.
Lol, I’m not big of the ‘call me daddy’ stuff, associating the thought of my dad/daddy with sexy times is not a turn on. At all.
Anyhow, the book was very entertaining in the first half, with the texting to the wrong number mishap, how he replied, etc. That was cute and all.
But the role playing of getting raped/rape fantasy stumped me. If it’s considered sick and wrong (in society) for a guy to desire raping a girl… how is it not also sick and wrong for a girl to desire a guy to rape her? I mean, reading the 2-3 scenes… she couldn’t breath, getting bruises and scraps, begging him to stop (as part of the role play) I just didn’t see that as romantic (for me).
So I enjoyed the first half… and the epilogue was cute.
I was excited to read this after reading some of the reviews and the blurb, but unfortunately, this didn’t work for me, which I’m bummed about 😕.
I liked the writing, the fast pace, and the premise. And it started out good and grabbed my attention. But, as the book progressed, I never found myself really feeling the connection between the FMC and MMC. Something was missing that I can’t put my finger on. There wasn’t enough emotion or chemistry for me, which I understand with this being a novella can be a difficult ask. Idk I was just bored and never felt invested in the story or characters. Also, the MMC made me cringe a bit, especially certain parts of his inner thoughts/dialogue. At times, I found him to have more creep vibes than daddy vibes. And with this including rape fantasy kink, I wish the aftercare scenes had shown a bit more aftercare… like in Asking for It (by Lilah Pace). And also scenes of them discussing things/boundaries beforehand — even a brief one would have worked, because open communication is hot😏😉! Also, I understand some people are really deep sleepers and can pretty much sleep through anything, but the sex scenes involving the FMC being asleep were a bit too unbelievable for me and not hot. And the sex scene towards the end also bothered me. The FMC does have a safe word (yay!), but the MMC covers her mouth on more than one occasion, and with them acting out the rape fantasy, it just rubbed me the wrong way. She didn’t have another means of communication to stop the interaction if she wanted. I hate when I find myself nit picking like this… it takes away from me just enjoying the story😔sigh. Overall, the smut, the relationship, and MMC just didn’t work for me, and the epilogue felt too forced and cliché to me😬. I wanted to like this, and I really thought I would, but it just wasn’t for me.🤷🏻♀️
I hate giving books low ratings, especially books that don’t have a lot of ratings, and I understand and can appreciate everything an author puts into writing something and putting it out there for everyone. I don’t want this review to discourage anyone from reading this. Not everything is for everyone. I thought the writing and pacing were good and I liked the FMC, and I can understand why others enjoyed this. If you’re interesting in reading something with an age gap and rape fantasy kink, you may want to give this a try. Even though it didn’t work for me, you may like it and not have an issue with the things I did.

I had high hopes for this book but could not get into it. The novella wasn't for me. The storyline revolves around a young girl whose best friend sends a dirty text to her ex-boyfriend. Only it didn't go to him, it went to his father. At first, he doesn't realize who it's from but continues the exchange even when he does.
Some people might love this type of fantasy but it definitely didn't hit the mark for me. Hope it does for you.
Every freaking time it's the daddy trope. Every time. I hate that stupid word and Iwish it was never even in the English lexicon That being said, this was fucking hot as all hell and wow this book was amazing. It would be 5 stars if not for that stupid daddy thing
And dang this chick can sleep through ANYTHING it seems.
I was feeling pretty garbage and was in a reading funk before I started this book, and it just fixed me right up! Sometimes a short, well written, non-con book does the trick! I enjoyed Holly and Andrew and honestly even Nick. This book isn’t going to be the next best thing, but it gets 4 stars from me because it hit the right spot! Thanks Ivy! I would recommend reading but as always, check TW.
