Questa piccola novella che segue il primo libro ci parla del figlio di Joel, Nate, e devo dire che è stata piacevole da leggere, non solo perché ritroviamo Finn e gli altri componenti della famiglia, ma perché è uno young adult dolce e delicato, più casto rispetto a quello che siamo generalmente abituati in questa serie, ma ugualmente completo e soddisfacente: una scoperta di sé e un cammino verso l’accettazione e la felicità.

This is so cute and sweet, I loved every second. I'm loving this series so far and every book I read is almost better than the other. They're all amazing and can't wait to read more! In this lovely story we have Nate, Joel's son from the first novel "Finn's Fantasy" that I totally recommend, that will melt your heart like it did with mine. Every time I finish one book of this series, it always left me empty 'cause I want more and more.

This was honestly WAY more cute than I was expecting! I hoped Nate had a book of his own, and while I would’ve loved a full length novel of this adorable paring, I think it’s better that this story was kept so concise. Basic fluffy idea that works really well as a short story.

This little novella was a cute addition to the Maine Men series. It gives us a look into Nate’s, Joel’s son from Finn’s Fantasy, world at college. After Joel, his father, came out as gay, Nate knew he could turn to him to talk to about the storm brewing in his mind and heart. He was discovering a new aspect of himself when he started having feelings for his best friend, Carter, and he sought his father’s advice on how to handle it. Carter and Nate are so ridiculously cute together. There’s no spice beyond a few kisses in this book, which I kinda love since they are young and just starting out. It gives them an air of innocence and newness that I really love. Good job, Wells, good job!

Parla di Nate il figlio di Joel, ragazzo 18enni, che va a vivere da solo con i suoi 3 coinquilini Dean, Mike e... Carter. Si, sarà Carter a svegliare quei sentimenti che non vedevano l'ora di uscirne libero. Per la prima volta Nate si trova attratto da un'altro ragazzo, suo miglior amico, e la convivenza con lui diventa quasi insopportabile quando non sa cosa farne di quella attrazione. Combattuto tra la paura di dichiararsi e perdere l'amico e il desiderio di farlo e guadagnare un fidanzato. Quindi corre da papà Joel e da Finn a chiedere consigli.

Una bellissima dolce novella. Piccina piccina, ma abbastanza da immaginare una famiglia così, una coming out così, degli amici così, un futuro così.

A sweet beginning to Nate and Carter's story. Nineteen and in college, both have been struggling with accepting their own sexuality, and crushing on each other. Both scared of losing their friendship. I love the way this was written. More about the story than just sex.
