The person who always argues to leave is always the person who stoops and picks up the pieces of a broken bowl. But when he made up his mind to leave, he just put on his most commonly worn coat, left home in a breeze, sunny afternoon, and never came back. He Zhishu is like the air and the water to Jiang Wenxu. But Jiang didn’t realize that until one day He Zhishu suddenly left. Jiang regretted, but it’s too late. “Wherever you go, my missing could reach you even at the end of the earth.”

I have no words for this.

It was beautiful, sad and heartbreaking all at the same time.

I read the online version so some of the translations didn't come across properly but it didn't take away from the beauty that was this.

I cried, it was so damn sad but so damn beautiful.

Excellent read.

This story stabbed me in my soul. Ouch. It hurt, but was a really good story if you’re okay with tragedies (which I am).

Caution: I don’t think I can stop myself not dropping some spoilers below so read at your own risk.

I had the urge to read something really sad, and this book has been in my to-read list after it was recommended on a yaoi group that I belong to on facebook.

The art style looks really beautiful and reminds me so much of watercolor art that I really adore when I was a kid, and even until now, *wink. And personally, I think the art style suits this story so well. It’s giving it a more dramatic touch to it, so I can understand the large number of readers crying their hearts out reading this story.

The author got straight to the point and had us crying a river just reading the first chapter. But in my case, I didn’t cry, instead I was beyond angry. In its first chapter, we’ve got to see Jiang Wenxu cheating on his long time partner, Zhishu He.

Zhishu He

It’s just a very short story so I can’t really say if I love his character, but I really really feel sorry for the guy. He sacrificed a lot for Jiang but he treated him like sh*t. He knows that he’s cheating, but he loves the guy for such a long time so I guess I can understand a little why he can’t seem to break up with him. He endured a lot and he definitely doesn’t deserve to be treated like that.

If you ask me, Jiang should have been the one getting sick and not him.

Jiang Wenxu

I really really really hate this guy. I just don’t understand how he could cheat when he says he loves Zhishu. Like dude, is there any logic to that statement? He did have a change of heart, but it’s just too late.

Dr. Ai

Dr. Ai is Zhishu’s doctor and he’s the exact opposite of Jiang. He’s so caring to Zhishu and was there for him till the end. I just like how he loves Zhishu without expecting anything in return. Seriously, this guy deserves an award!

10 Years That I Loved You the Most is just a short read but it’s enough to make you cry a river. The emotion is just so raw that you can’t help but get affected. I am rooting for Zhishu’s happiness so I was really happy when he finally called it quits and left. I just recently read a really annoying love triangle but it was different this time. I think it’s because there’s illness and cheating involved? Whatever the case, I’m sure most of you will find yourself rooting for the other guy.

Just like most cliches, once Jiang found out about Zhishu’s illness, he had a change of heart. I’ll give the guy credit, he did try to change even before finding out that Zhishu is seriously ill, but one night of booze destroyed that. He did try to end it for real but some things happened which resulted in Zhishu to finally leave everything behind, HIM behind.

I guess for most readers, they find that ending satisfying. Sad yes, but definitely satisfying. I do too, but I just can’t help but wonder what would have happened if the guy Jiang cheated with didn’t get involved. What if Zhishun told Jiang about his illness? What if everything is different?

I usually hold my grudges for a long time, so I was really surprised that I feel bad for Jiang. He did his best to help Zhishun in his own way but despite all of that, I still think it wasn’t enough to be forgiven. But I also didn’t like the idea of Zhishun dying without the two of them talking. I know Jiang didn’t deserve the courtesy after all he did, but I just feel sad. I just can’t fathom the pain he must be feeling not to ask Zhishun for forgiveness in person. It was just sad. Like really really sad.

I always pride myself as someone who is strong when it comes to sad stories, but this one is different. I only cried a few times reading this one, but it haunts me. I wasn’t able to get a decent sleep because I keep thinking of this story, hahaha.

So if you’re up for a haunting sad story of love and regrets, then be my guest and brave this one out, *wink.

Five stars??? No ever it's more than that.

Before I even begin to express my emotions about this masterpiece, I have to ask
WHO TOLD ME TO READ SOMETHING THAT WOULD SHATTER ME LIKE THIS? And the most important part is that I actually fell ill after finishing it, from the sheer weight of my grief and tears.
🌊🐳
A normal person reads books to escape reality, to find joy and lightness within their pages. But me? No, I seem to take pleasure in tormenting myself through what I read.
💌🫀⁦(╯︵╰,)⁩
The story itself is simple and familiar: our ML is diagnosed with leukemia, and beside him are his lover—who stays by his side—and his doctor, who does everything in his power to save him. We watch how the ML struggles, or rather, learns to live with his illness, while also witnessing the reactions of his lover and his doctor.
(´;ω;`)
I thought I wouldn’t break down so easily, yet despite the short chapters, I found myself crying AS a child before I was even halfway through. What truly struck me was how the story made me both mourn and rejoice with the main character, especially in his attempts to hide his illness. This concealment drew my sympathy even more deeply, making me ache for him.
˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚
As for the doctor, he became my fav character. He loved our ML wholeheartedly and tried, with all the strength of his heart, to heal him and convince him to fight for treatment. To me, that was profoundly romantic🤭.

I won’t spoil anything further—just read it yourselves

I am proud of Zishou, so much proud of him, good boy deserves better.

In this manhua we have three most important characters, one of them is the main one, our Zishou, the little puppy who doesn't know when enough is enough. Then we have Jiang WenXu, the hated one, lord have mercy, cause I hate him so much, hypocrite horrible person, AND the most beloved doctor anyone could have, who falls in love with Zishou, and even when he was not reciprocated he still stay at his side as a friend and makes him smile again.

This story is crude, angst everywhere, we have Zishou giving up to his illness cause (spoiler), but because he choose this, he at some points starting to do what is good to him and nothing more, i refere to him making his own choices and makes peace with himself.
I cried? A lot, I think the doctor was like an anchor to him, and who is left behind suffer as much as the one who left, but this is a strong story, because our poor Zishou would suffer a lot in the hands of the one he loves the most.

『 ★★★,8 』

[ cw//tw: cheating • dubious-consent • tragedy • ]

Storylines and plot-wise kinda confusing, but the dramas and angst was truly emotional and on-point.

this absolutely shattered my heart. when i read things, i dont really cry over it because most of it really resonates with me, but this had me sobbing into my pillow to quiet the noise. not a dry eyed chapter. this is something i would love to read again for the first time, the raw emotion i felt when reading it was truly real. i dont think theres anything else out there that'll do it for me than this.

4/5 .This was absolutely heartbreaking. I didn't cry but I believe that is due to already having an idea of how the story was going to unfold.
"The day you begin looking back at the good old days is the day that the relationship finally dies." Truer words have never been spoken. This story showed how no matter what you do and go through, people will change. In the end of the day it's out of your hands. It also portrayed how hard it is to move on and let go, specially from the shackles of familiarity that have been built over 14 years.

I loved the Main character and the doctor so much... Perfect example of 'Right person not enough time.' I hope that in their next life they meet and our main character finally pursues his own dreams instead of following a man blindly. Also what I learned from this story was, in Lady Gaga's words, "If you're wondering which way to go, remember that your career will never wake up and tell you that it doesn't love you anymore."

A bitter-sweet romance that describes the relationship between a dying man and his husband.

This book made me cry waterfalls. I just had to put the book down every chapter to blow my nose.
This book is nothing short of a masterpiece and is one of my favourite books of all time. It's sad, it's romantic and it really shows you that you need to appreciate the ones around you while you still can.

This was a very quick read for me. while it was satisfying to read especially because I was reading it since I needed a good cry, the characters often felt stereotypical and underdeveloped. Personally, I don't mind predictable plots or characters if the art and story are eye-catching but the art nor the plot was anything super new either. I would still recommend you read it, especially if you need a good cry but please go into it not expecting anything revolutionary.

haven't cried in so long while reading a manhua. especially when zhishu was coughing up blood on the bed, and you can see him bleeding from behind because he was raped by his husband wenxu. then when he was in the doctor's arms saying if he was a girl in his next life that he would like to be with the doctor - doctor replying with i want you in this life, or along those lines. not one chapter was filled with only happiness.

Read this once and never again, unless your tear ducts are broken. Re-reading this, in my opinion, is a form of self harm and I can’t even describe the plot of this to my friends without breaking down. UnHEA.
P.s: for more sadness read the epilogue from the light novel

One of my fav slice of life books out there of all time. The representation of how love can fade away over time no matter how strong it is is an embodiment of reality.
