An excellent, if a little outdated, introduction to the world and art of translation. Ian Finlay discusses all the major issues and gives insider tips for people interested in becoming translators. The chapters on machine translation and the focus on typing versus voice recording have not been relevant since the advent of personal computers, but all the rest is still reliable and essential for wannabe and newbie translators.
