Eric Bongard has served his country faithfully for more than ten years. Leading a team of Rangers they're mission quickly turns from a hunt, to a rescue. Worse, it's a rescue of disabled children. But to do that, he has to break every rule in the book, knowing that he'll be court-martialed. He just has two goals. Get the children to safety and get back to the only woman he's ever loved. If he can do that, he'll be able to deal with whatever comes.
Sophia Ann Redhawk has been in love with Eric since the fifth grade. He's always been somewhat shy, but lately he seems almost reluctant to consummate their relationship. When he pulls up in a school bus at their friends' wedding, she's surprised to say the least, but more than anything, she's thrilled to have him home and in her arms. With the help of their friends and family, they'll meet what's to come head on, as they always do...with REAPER-Patriot grit.
Thank you for reading my bio and my books! I live and work in Dallas, TX. I'm the mother of two amazing daughters and two fantastic, intelligent grandsons, with one more on the way, and a wonderful son-in-law. I love to cook, travel, and write, but I'm also an avid reader. Being from a military family, my books often center around strong, military men but I also LOVE strong, independent, intelligent women. Visit my webpage at insatiableink.squarespace.com and leave your comments or ideas for future books. Enjoy!
With how the last book ended, I couldn't wait to get to this one, to see Eric's side of things and to see how he fared. It was interesting to see Eric working a different side to what happened in Malaysia, that he was the reason the guys felt like they didn't succeed. It really sucked that by doing the right thing, Eric almost lost if all. It's good that he has the right people (RP) at his back and had enough evidence to back things up. They were able to take care of business, thwart the bad guys and save some kids.
Eric and Sophia Ann were cute together. I loved when Sophia Ann told Eric when and why she fell in love with him. To Eric, he barely remembered what happened, but to the kid Eric helped, it was everything. I also loved Eric and Sophia Ann talking about sex for the first time, Sophia Ann sure had a big surprise for him! While unconventional, it was probably the best thing for the couple.
On a side note, I found myself laughing at all the conversations about what Eric was packing, including those he was involved with, especially with his dad and Wilson at the start. So awkward, but fun to read.
Wow another awesome story. These two make a great couple and very glad that they fit together in all the ways that matter. Eric is a true hero and his instincts were spot on when Danzig sent his team on the mission, because he knew that it should have been the Seals. Sophia has loved Eric since fifth grade and just grew stronger as the years went by and he loved her also. It's still hard sometimes to understand the depravity and sickness of some people in our world, that thinks it's okay to not only kidnap innocent children, but the ones with special needs and use and abuse them for nefarious acts. I am truly glad that some of these children were rescued and reunited with their families. Happy reading.
Mary Kennedy what can I say she keeps putting out these fabulous books about a group of men and women who protect the world from the ugliness . Now the next generation is doing the same thing. She has brought real life issues for front in this series. Is it fantasy? Has a reader we know their are perverts of all kinds in this world who use children. Eric and Sophia Ann grew up respecting and loving the men and women if RP. They fell in love at a early age. When they finally committed to each other they still had to find lost children and bring them home.
Each book is written where the reader does not want to put it down. Now on to the next one. Mary Kennedy is writing these so fast you don't want to miss the next .💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Another great read. I don't know where you come up with the ideas, but I wish that we had organizations like REAPER-Patriots. Our service people deserve the best and don't get it by any means. You make Belle Fleur a wonderful place to live. Mama Irene is just an amazing woman. Thank you for a wonderful escape. I read for relaxation and enjoyment. I get that with all your books.
Mary Kennedy never fails to provide a wonderful story and weave past books and characters into her current book. I always feel as though I am renewing old friendships. Watching and reading about the children growing up and honoring their parents in emulating their passions and lifestyle is thoroughly satisfying. Can't wait for the next read!

I had to actually slow down reading this authors incredible storytelling😕 I wasn't forced to do it, but I was afraid at the rate I was going I would have caught up to her writing and then sat around in withdrawals I just love this author Ms Kennedy is a talented writer and as long as she's writing, I'll be reading!
Every book I read just gets better and better. I love this “dysfunctional “ family. Although I don’t think they are dysfunctional, I think they are wonderful. Thank you for making every book my new favorite.
Another brilliant book. Great story always keeps you on your toes, love the storyline and the characters seem like they immerse you into the family . Hope thers a few more books to come as can't wait for the next one
Another good book by this author. Looking forward to reading about Julia and Joseph. Glad Ryan is back. Eric and Soph were a fantastic no nonsense couple.
One by one, the second generation of the original REAPER organization are finishing their military service and taking their places in the family business. Eric Bongard is about to leave the Rangers, since he is disillusioned with the powers above him. Given an order to end a terrorist, they are shocked to find that a SEAL team is already in Malaysia, and could have handled the assignment. Then, to their shock, they see their superior on a yacht with the target. They smell a rat, and the team is knocked sideways. The enemy doesn't realize who he is fighting, or else he would know how far over his head he was. Meanwhile, Sophia Ann Redhawk, one of Trak's twin daughters, has been in love with Eric since grade school and they have to get their happy ending too.
