This is the second book in the animal series and I am curious to see how this one will tie in because at the moment it doesn’t but I’ll definitely be reading Feral next as this book leaves us like animal did knowing there must be more

The Sacrifice is about a cult needing to find their chosen one
This book isn’t the extreme horror I felt animal was but very much horrorisk

I am very excited to see how it all comes together

So let me start with this; in my opinion, this series has been entirely hit or miss. Book 1 was GREAT. After finishing book one, i was SO excited to get into book two. [ this wasn't out at the time. ] But book 2 fell flat. When I heard about this book, I was back to excited. I mean, i LOVE the cult trope. And let me say, this book was AMAZING. If all of her books were written as well as this one, I'd be her biggest fan. But I do have to warn, if you read this after book 1, it won't tie in together or make much sense. From what I gather, book 3 will tie into this or vice versa. So i'll be starting this one soon.

Could not put down!

Don't go sneaking around the woods of the Divine cult or you might meet the Laksman. The Prophet needs a sacrifice and he knows the perfect person. Just remember family will do anything to get loved ones back but revenge can be a bitter b***h. Emery LeeAnn is one of my top 5 favorite dark authors and The Sacrifice is exactly one of the reasons why. I kept saying just one more chapter.... but who's kidding, I ate it right up!

I didn’t see that coming!!

Omg, another banging book from Emery LeeAnn, though I wish they were longer as I would have liked to explore the Cult further. This is a brilliant and disturbing story, with an ending I wasn’t expecting. Absolutely delicious, and a must read for anyone who likes their thrillers with a touch of horror!!

This is the perfect time of year for a read like this. Eerie cults and haunted families.

Emery will take you into an amazing world of worship and sacrifice. You'll be so deep in the story that once you close the book, you'll look around thinking you were smack in the middle of it all.

Another fantastic short by Emery that I ate up too quickly and then cried for more.

This story grabbed me and I was engrossed from start to finish. It’s like nothing I have read before. If you love unique stories that are dark and twisted I would recommend this one. A cult horror story that, though short in length, has a plot with unexpected twists that gut punch you at the end.
So we'll written that the shortness of the story doesn't change the fact that this is a story that sticks with you. Through multiple character POVs we slowly learn the scope of the cult leaders impact on each and every character, and the deadly consequences for many!

I love cult stories so I jumped right on this one. The cover is beautiful and I'm hoping there's a soon to be paperback. Emery's writing and story telling in this is by far her best so far. Emery kill it with this one.

I loved this book! I was so interested and invested the entire time! There were so many great characters and I did not see that ending coming! Now I need Laksman's book because he DOES remind me of my boy Animal!!!!
