Listened to this on audiobook, so it was like listening to 12 hours of the podcast, which was fantastic. I love that Marcus narrates with the random interjections from Henry & Ben—it's very on brand. I wish there had been a chapter that contextualized things a little bit more, maybe something with the history of the podcast and an explanation for why they chose to cover certain individuals over others. I know publishers think we're all here for the murder, but we're also here for the specific je ne sais quoi of the LPOTL team and hearing from them a little more would've helped separate the book from the podcast.
Audio edition. A good rundown of the biggest known serial killers. 90% Marcus, with quips slipped in by Henry and Ben every few paragraphs. Their delivery is somewhat deadpan, but I feel like that's due to the scripted format.
Great book for casual and "serial" true crime fans alike! A must-read if you're a follower of Last Podcast on the Left; this book does the seemingly impossible by producing a written version of an audio medium. The boys' signature narrative style comes through in the form of interjections between paragraphs. I definitely recommend this book for anyone with even a passing interest in true crime! And make sure to check out the podcast after finishing the book.
