Nanny Love Match #2

The Nanny and the Hothead

Rate this book

Charlotte Ames despises hotheads. You know the type. The growly, perma-scowling bully who blows his top at the slightest inconvenience. And her former boss, Top Chef Mitch Elliott, is the king of all hotheads.

How big of a jerk is he? Big enough to make her hurl a salad at the guy.

Those vegetables didn’t ask to be strewn across the floor. But Mitch deserved it!

Is he devastatingly handsome when he loses his cool? Could his stormy blue eyes, flashing with passion, melt the panties right off a gal? That would be a yes. Still, she can’t stand him. And she’d thought she’d seen the last of the culinary creep.

She was wrong.

On the cusp of eviction and with five bucks to her name, she needs a job.

Enter the exclusive Nanny Match Agency and an opportunity to make some real cash.

Sounds great, right? Wrong again!

The universe has one messed-up sense of humor. When she wakes up after a margarita bender and learns she’s become the hothead’s nanny, life goes topsy-turvy! But when the nanny dust settles, she sees another side of the man. A man who might be more than a hothead. A man who gazes at her with such intensity, she can barely keep from combusting.

Don’t fall for the hotheaded chef.

Her head knows what to do. If only she could convince her heart.

Could this nanny match be the match that changes everything, or will it get too hot in the kitchen for the nanny and the hothead?

When a meet cute involves tossed salads, speed dating and too much tequila, you know it's going to be an epic read! Add to that cameos from characters we've come to love and reacquainting with characters from the previous book, and I’m half in love already.

Nanny matchmaker extraordinaire, Madelyn Malone, is up to her old tricks, this time finding a nanny for hothead chef, Mitchell Elliott. The mother of his six-year-old boy has passed away suddenly, and Mitch is an instant full-time parent. Mitch doesn’t know his son Oscar very well, and Mitch’s propensity for hotheadedness certainly doesn’t help foster a familial relationship.

Enter Charlotte Ames. Charlotte has lost the last of her part-time jobs, has five dollars to her name and an impending eviction in her future. She hopes to get accepted into a prestigious photography workshop and finally get her work noticed, but when she gets advice from her professor who looks over Charlotte's work, it’s not encouraging. “Go back to the beginning," she's told.

In the meantime, she agrees to take Madelyn's job as a nanny. And Charlotte's kindness and goodness are just the bridge Mitch and his son Oscar need to learn how to be a family.

What follows is a hilariously confusing meeting and a comedy of errors as Mitch and Charlotte navigate their way into caring for a young boy who's way too smart for his age. With mishaps and hijinks and hit after hit to the heart, I couldn’t have put this one down even if the house were on fire.

This crafty storyteller has a true gift in eliciting all of the very best emotions from the reader and this story is the most epic of roller coaster rides. These characters are so authentic, realistic and endearing, and they held my heart in their hands from the first page to the last.

If you’re looking for a romance that will make you laugh, cry, ponder, and happy sigh, look no further. This sweet, touching, humorous, madcap romance is Sandor's best to date and one of the best I’ve read this year. Run to the 1-Click and start reading it now. Your romantic heart will be eternally grateful.

I am loving this series from Krista. I couldn't wait to get my hands on Mitch from the first book and let me tell you he is certainly full of surprises. Charlotte Ames is so ready to give up her job as a waitress. Her boss is a self centered hot head and she may have just thrown a salad at him. Her passion is photography but she is still finding her place in that world so until then she will be the assistant. When a sweet, secretive but very persuasive customer offers her a job that will not only pay off her bills but give her a bit of a cushion to fall back on she must check it out. She wasn't expecting to be the Nanny to her hothead boss and his adorable son Oscar but fate has a way of making magic !
Charlotte is determined, sassy, caring and yes a bit quirky but oh so charming. Now Mitch he certainly wiggled his way into my heart and that little boy of his was just too much.
This couple is filled with witty sarcastic banter and oh so much fire. I loved watching them navigate their new work relationship. They have heat, so much emotion and are just too much fun to read!

ARC REVIEW

A story that can make you laugh, swoon and have tears in your eyes.

Charlotte is a girl that doesn’t have an easy life. Her photographing career isn’t going as she wanted it to go, her living situation is uncertain too and losing her job as photographing assistant forces her to find a new one. That’s how she ends up as a nanny for Mitch’s son.
Mitch is a very success chef, but now he has more on his plate with the death of his son’s mother. That’s why he’s looking for a nanny.
And let me tell you that these two already know each other and Charlotte worked for two years in his restaurant, but this job ended with throwing a salad at him. And when they see each other again, the fire is still there.

I’m swooning over this story. It was so sweet and touching. The scenes of Charlotte and Mitch with his son were just adorable. The book had so many funny scenes. Also there was so much pain, what Mitch had been through really gutted me. And Charlotte helped him in so many ways.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

The entire concept of this story was ridiculous. Who would hire this young girl as their nanny after her antics at the bar? And, the hothead, OMG, he went from a raging asshat to all hot and sweet for the redhead. Seriously, the plot was just really bad!

Charlotte's new nanny position is with the hothead chef she used to work for. Yes, THAT guy, the one whom she threw a salad at when she left. The spark between them is still there, though. Now what will she do? Continue working for a guy she can't stand? One whose temper ignites her own? Who is still so damn gorgeous...

Charlotte and Mitch are hot together! And his little boy - such an adorable little scene stealer. About the only thing I didn't like about this engaging read is the excessive amounts of exclamation points used, especially in the inner monologues of both the leads. Aside from this annoying little thing, though, I liked this story and cannot wait for more of Madelyn's matchmaking shenanigans.

This was such a nice story I loved it. I think I liked Mitch from the start, nevamind the asshole ways, lol Charlotte oh my word she had me lol the whole flippen time 😊

Mitchell Elliott was a renowned celebrity top chef. In the beginning he was the chef everyone wanted. Now he runs his own restaurant sold out every night but has a bit of a rep for being a hot head. His employees fear him, except for one red head who really doesn’t care that his famous. Now Mitch is in need of a nanny as he has to take over caring for his son. And who happens to be his nanny-match??

Charlotte Ames is a photographer. Or she’s trying to be, but its just not happening. So she applied at a prestigious photography workshop in London. But when a fellow photographer she admires tells her that she hasn’t nothing that will get her accepted and she needs to go back to basics, she is crushed. Now she is without a job, (a mermaid incident going wrong) and without a place to stay soon. When Madelyn offers her a job as a nanny she wasn’t ready for it. But now she has no choice. When she meets Oscar she knows this was the right decision to make. And she gets the hot head Chef included.

I loved this story. I definitely fell in love with this authors stories from the previous book. I didn’t know how this story was going to work. But Charlotte was exactly what Mitch and Oscar needed to help them get relationship started. And Charlotte was exactly what Mitch needed to bring him out of his ‘grumpiness’… lol… This story had lots of laughs, some serious moments, a little boy you will fall in love and two characters who can’t deny fate 😊 I can’t wait for the next story in this series 😊

This was another entertaining read in the Nanny Love Match series.

Enemies to lovers is my jam and this story was definitely that trope. When Charlotte last saw the hothead chef, she was a waitress and had hurled a salad at his head because he was being a big jerk to one of his waiters. Mitch had been betrayed in the worst way, so it’s hard for him to trust and he’s angry all the time, thus making him act like a jerk all the time…aka Hothead.

Plenty of humor had me smiling often and tons of charm had me feeling all sorts of happy. And all the emotion this story had, made my heart full and satisfied. I smiled so much!

Oscar was adorable and definitely stole the show sometimes. Once the relationship between him and Mitch got a little bit stronger, they were the swooniest father-son duo. Add in Charlotte and they were the cutest trio, the perfect ‘us’.

I love that Charlotte calmed Mitch, made him want to be a better man, a better father. And I really loved how he wanted to be her Mr. Cheesy Forever. The hothead is a BIG OL’ SOFTIE! There was no denying the sparks. I loved when they were together. They tried so hard to be Nanny & Boss, and not Nanny who sleeps with the Boss.

I really enjoyed this story and I was also happy to see so many appearances from Penny, Rowen, and Phoebe from book one. And there’s a great set up at the end for the next book in the series. Can’t wait for the Libby and the Beefcake.

I would like to add…
I found the overuse of exclamation points sometimes distracting and most of the time, unnecessary. This did not change how I felt about the story though.

4 Hothead Stars

The Nanny and the Hothead is the second book in the Nanny Love Match series by Krista Sandor. As soon as I finished the first book in this series I instantly wanted more and then this book lands in my kindle not too long after.

Charlotte Ames is just about jobless after throwing a salad at her boss and barely holding on to her assistant job to a very fussy photographer and after a disastrous afternoon she is told to “Go back to the beginning," but what does that even mean. She refuses to give up on everything and she decides speed dating is the right step forward to meeting her Mr Cheesy Forever.

Mitch is haunted by his past and it’s about to catch up with him in the form of his son. He needs a nanny and he needs to get his career back on track and he only has 60 days to do this. But now he is a single father he needs to step up and get on with it. He's just not sure what the first step is, until a fiery red head walks into his life and tells him to “Go back to the beginning," but can he do that with all the painful memories from his past still haunting him,

This sweet, touching, and funny slow build romantic read. Oscar was a joy to read, Phoebe and himself were so entertaining and funny to read. We also have the ultra-glamorous Madelyn Monroe doing her thing among some amazing secondary characters. This was such an entertaining read and I highly recommend you pick it up!

Mitch and Charlotte are so delectable but Oscar will steal your heart!

Mitch and Charlotte are an unlikely pair but her soft demeanor and ability to find the beauty in the dark really softens this jaded man!

The story layered within the pages of the book are one of hurt and lingering pain! Both Mitch and Charlotte have to discover their spark and together they definitely find more than that!

I love the quirkiness of Inez and Madilyn because let’s be honest those two are always up to something but the group of wild women and broody men to the rescue had me laughing each time they were on the page! Loving this cute series of standalone books and can’t recommend it enough!

I’m really enjoying this series. I had pretty high hopes for Mitch and Charlotte’s story. I love enemies to lovers. I will say that I expected a little more enemies aspect, but I still love it. Mitch has to adjust to his son Oscar coming to live with him full time. Naturally he now needs a nanny. Charlotte is not who he would have picked. Madelyn Malone, the matchmaker, thinks they’re a perfect fit. Oscar is adorable, and I love his friendship with Phoebe. Phoebe continues to steal any scene she’s in. I can’t wait for the next one.

Oscar, Mitch's kid, stole the show in this book. He was cute, had a sense of humor, and was pretty smart for his age.

I wasn't Mitch's biggest fan in the beginning. Not just because he was a hothead, but because he wasn't exactly a good father until he was forced to become a full time father. He wasn't there for his son those first 6 years of his life with the exception of some visits here and there. That said, he did become a great father when he needed to be, with the help of Charlotte.

Charlotte was a bit of a pushover when it came to her photography career. I mean I'm a photographer and I would have left that sorry excuse for a professional photographer months before she actually did. It was so obvious the guy didn't care about her or even know what he was even doing. She was just so desperate for experience and confirmation of her abilities that she let the guy walk over her. After she gets fired for that, she gets hired on as a nanny. Granted, she has 0 experience and in real life, that would never happen, unless someone is playing matchmaker like was the case with her.

So while this story is far-fetched, it was a decent story. I enjoyed the cast of characters, the antics, the way that Mitch grows into a good father and boss, the way Oscar just fits right in with the father he didn't know and finds his place in the world, and the way Charlotte gets her dream by believing in herself and taking a chance.

The Mr. Cheesy Forever was incredibly...cheesy. I could have done without that repeated part of the storyline.

5 star review The Nanny And The Hothead (Nanny Love Match #2) by Krista Sandor
After reading and loving the first book in the series, I couldn’t wait to read The Nanny and The Hothead and it was everything I was hoping for and so much more . Between Charlotte Ames and her former boss Top Chef Mitch Elliott the sparks flew and not in a good way and Charlotte is glad to see the back of him.
However fate has a way of playing tricks on a person and Charlotte is shocked to find herself working for Mitch as his nanny. Even more intriguing is that she quickly learns that there is more to the man that she initially thought. Mitch may be a hot head but there is something about him that had me falling for him hard and fast and I wasn't the only one. I loved Charlotte she is such a fun, quirky heroine and I loved how she connected with six year old Oscar.
As Mitch and Charlotte get to know one another outside of the kitchen, their r relationship expands. Could Charlotte be the one to bring his work and personal life into balance? Will she be able to bring Mitch and Oscar to-ether and become the family that they both deserve? Or will Mitch revert back to his hothead ways and by doing so push Charlotte away once and for all?

What do a tossed salad, speeding dating and too many strong margaritas have in common? This story! I absolutely adored this story from start to finish.

Charlotte is in desperate need of a job. She is about to lose her apartment and has barely any money to her name when a nanny opportunity is offered to her. The man she would nannying for? Her enemy and the man she used to work for. Mitch is struggling with his new role as father, he is running his own business and keeping the walls he built around himself hidden.

I loved the chemistry between Charlotte and Mitch. There was a connection between them from the start and it only continued to grow as they got to know each other and spent more time with each other. I love how Charlotte is with Oscar and how she helps him feel comfortable when his entire world was changing.

It was great to see characters from previous series pop up, especially Gabe and Monica!

The Nanny and the Hothead will have you laughing, swooning and craving a grilled cheese from the start!

If you’re looking for a single dad, enemies to lovers, rom com this is one to check out.

Great Book

I’m really enjoying the Nanny series so far.
Mitch is the hothead chef who Charlotte & Penny worked for and who Charlotte threw the salad at for shouting at Erick and whom she hates, however there is a deep sadness and betrayal that has made Mitch the way he is.
Charlotte is the lovely kind one of the 4 girls who always bends over backwards for the men in her life and when MM (Mary Poppins 2.0) matches Charlotte with Mitch to be his son Oscar’s nanny well we know sparks are going to fly.
Their chemistry is hot and they have some sexy scenes and they soon realise there is a fine line between love & hate and realise they are made for each other but Charlotte has a secret she should have told him about which could tear them apart.
I love all the extra characters so far but again as in book one the child stole the show as Oscar is just so adorable and then when Phoebe becomes his BFF the stuff that comes out their mouths is comedy gold at times.
Oscar & Phoebe definitely must remain throughout this series with the other kids they are just so brilliant.

A hotheaded chef and a sassy woman who can’t stand him then is hired to be his nanny what could possibly go wrong? Mitch is haunted by a past that he can’t seem to let go of and makes him angry just to think about, but now as a single father he owes it to his son to try. When Charlotte is down on her luck with nothing else to do she is recruited by the mysterious Madelyn to work for Mitch, she can’t stand his attitude but loves his son instantly. As they try to make things work Mitch is in a bind with his career, his hotheaded ways have landed him in trouble but maybe with a push from Charlotte they can get him back on track. Charlotte has a way of getting Mitch to see that his anger is not getting him anywhere and he needs to learn to let it go but is the past too painful for him to quit self sabotaging himself? Can Charlotte help him see his worth and her own? These two are the perfect pair like oil and water, fire and ice they shouldn’t mix but as Mitch starts to get back to his roots and smile more he realizes its Charlotte’s light that has him shining again. I loved getting to see the other characters from not only this series but others ie Gabe/Monica and the Bergens. Oscar was the most absolute sweetest child and between him and Phoebe they made this book a supper hit. This series is fun with great banter, steam, and love. The author writes such amazing stories with fantastic characters that you can’t help but fall in love with and I can’t wait for more!!!

I am laughing so hard! This is one wild ride. Charlotte and Mitch have the craziest things happen to them, and it is so funny. I wouldn't have enjoyed the craziness so much if they hadn't been good characters. Charlotte is an absolute sweetheart, but Mitch has hidden his true self under hotheadness for reasons. He has to learn to let go of those reasons and be a better person. Charlotte has a few things that she needs to learn, too. Together they go on a journey of discovery and wackiness. Oscar, Mitch's son, is along for the journey, too, and he adds lots of cuteness to the story -- especially the end when he made me cry. This is a great romcom for laughs with heart.

I’m really enjoying this series. Though I feel that some of the language is still a little immature, it has definitely grown.
Mitch and Charlotte don’t seem like they fit together at first but their chemistry just clicks. I adored Oscar and my heart breaks for him while also blooming for his growth and his sweet innocence.
I loved how Mitch and Charlotte found their “spark” in each other and grew as characters.
Their HEA brought tears to my eyes, it was absolutely perfect for these three.

not the best read

I like the storyline; but boy was it hard to read. It was like reading an owners manual of putting something together written by a child. Started out interesting but then goes into a million different directions.

Get ready for the cheesiest of cheese at times, but it all makes sense in the end. From Charlotte’s near-frantic pace in the beginning to Mitch’s just as frantic pace to make amends, this is one heck of a ride! He needs a nanny, she needs a job…and they definitely have a bit of a past together. But when Charlotte meets Mitch’s son, Oscar, pieces of hearts thaw on all sides. Oscar needs some love and help adjusting to his new normal, while Mitch needs the exact same care, even if he won’t admit it. And when his personal and professional worlds collide, it’s almost a disaster until Charlotte blurts out the perfect idea to save the day for everyone.

These two had past hurts and present bitterness to work through, for sure. More Mitch than Charlotte, but she had her own worries along the way. A few secrets, a lot of arguments, even more spicy to go with the sweet, and some unexpected helpers during crunch time made this an incredibly enjoyable read. Sure, it’s a little cornball and a lot cheesy at times, but it’s also exactly what readers need. It’s love and redemption and fun and family and a craving for grilled cheese all in one perfect package, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Now, we need to find out what the heck the woman who formerly had all the chill in the world is up against in the next book, and I can’t wait!

WOW... just WOW!!!
Talk about perfect.
I loved Mitch and Charlotte.
Their chemistry was off the charts HOT!!!
Talk about a meet/cute 🥰
Tossed salads... Speed dating and lethal Margheritas.
Charlotte is gorgeous but has family baggage from her past.
Mitch has a past he is trying to forget and move on from.
Can these two and their obsession with grilled cheese sandwiches make it through to a HEA?
Throw in an adorable 6yo Oscar and we are in for one hell of a ride.
Think I’m gonna go try that sandwich 😉

Charlotte is a wonderful and cheerful character. I kept picturing her as Emilia Clarke when she did that film "Me Before You" She just made me smile and you can feel her determination to bring a son & father together as a family. She a photographer too and I understand her passion

Mitch & son Oliver are both very creative in their own ways. Mitch is chef & owner at the successful Crystal Cricket. It there when they had there first inaction were Mitch end up wearing a salad...no spoilers 😅
Oliver is creative and he picks up a camera too. He is such a wise and bright little boy. He can see his dad falling in love with Charlottle & he wants her to be part of the family because she makes them whole

This book will make you laugh, promise 🤣

Holly hothead explosion. This book had all the feels and I couldn’t put down. It was absolutely amazing read.

Mitch the hothead that has walls so heigh around his heart that the only thing people see is the hothead. That’s until the Fiery Redhead Charlotte coming barreling into his life by pelting him with a salad.

These two charters have there flaws but watching them build a relationship melted my heart. I cried and I laughed as these to navigated there life’s and molded together into perfection. Then you throw in Oliver a cute little boy that just steals your heart and all the cameo of old characters you have book perfection.

Every dark corner has a bright side. Krista Sandra exposes the often times overlooked irony of life and love in the most deliciously captivating of ways. I was dying to get Mitch & Charlotte's story & this did not disappoint! Charlotte & Mitch never got along when both worked at the same restaurant where he would get in horrible tempers. After she loses her job there & needs a new one she becomes a nanny. Madelyn was up to her old tricks & assigned Charlotte as Mitch's nanny. Mitch's little boy is absolutely adorable and dealing with the loss of his mother. I enjoyed the character development in the story as well, especially with how much Mitch ended up learning about taking care of his son.

With its wit and warmth, The Nanny and the Hothead has been an absolute joy to read! Charlotte and Mitch have so much attraction going on between them that it just jumps off the page! From waitress to Nanny is a big change for Charlotte, but her beautiful, kind heart, is the perfect balm for two hurt hearts. Oscar is a total darling and his interactions with both our leads, and the delightful Phoebe, sparkle with the afore-mentioned wit and warmth. This book is funny, well plotted and written. All round excellent in fact!
I have a little idea about who Madelyn might be, but am content to follow where Krista Sandor leads as she brings us more from this fabulous series. 💖💖💖💖💖
