'Foot Trodden' is an insightful and informative exploration of Portugal’s wine industry and the people in it. It's entertaining and easy-to-read -- I got hold of it before a flight and was halfway through the book (unfortunately with no access to any of the wines mentioned) before we landed. If you're interested in learning about old and unique wine-making traditions, current innovators, or are just curious about why Portugal has so many kinds of wine grapes that aren't found anywhere else in the world, this book is for you.
