This book brings us Shelby and Ross. Shelby's only interest is being a layer. She has worked so hard and avoided any kind of commitments towards men. Her studies were what was important to her. That is, until one night when at her Aunt's Diner, in walks in a man who makes her forget what she wants. His name is Ross, and he does something to her "insides" that has never happened before. Ross is an up and coming quarterback for the Bitsberg Knights and football has been his life. There is such an instant chemistry, but their careers keep getting in the way. If they want any kind of a relationship, something has to give. Who will it be? You MUST read this book. I highly recommend it. I did receive an arc for an honest review.

This was part of a series, even though the book does not come out and say so, in so much as it follows another member of the same team as in Big Time, and the hero of that previous book makes several appearances in this book. Like that previous book, we only get about half the book, the rest of it is gifts of the author's other works.

Thing is, while this one was a quick read, it really lacked substance. Carson's bad childhood was mostly glossed over, and Gwen's obsession with a case when she isn't really a lawyer almost cost her Carson! I couldn't really connect with the characters at all!

All things considered, I think that I'll be deleting these from my Kindle Library and avoiding the author in the future.

This was my first book by Winters and I fell head over heels! The two main characters each have a fight of their own along with trying to figure out where they are with each other in a new relationship.
Gwen is this seemingly innocent girl with her current future mapped out. She is very focused and calculated in where her life is going. Until she crosses paths with Carson Stiles
He's a nobody on the team, a 3rd string bench warmer. He wasn't prepared mentally to be the star quarterback . He didn't know he would hit it off with Gwen. His world was turned upside down all at once.
These two had a playful and charged attraction. The story line flowed so smoothly between the characters. That is no small task! So I'm wondering how the hell I missed KB Winters on my radar.
Anyways, the supporting characters we honest and hilarious. The Aunt Was The greatest!!!! I loved her she made me laugh and cry. I feel like every one should have a person like her in their lives. This story will Heat up and entire house in the winter. Hot DOG!!! but it will also touch your heart and hold a special place there forever.

I bought Show Time by KB Winters in September and this review was given freely.
Vivid descriptions and down to earth characters bring life to this steamy football based romance and made it a joy to read. Carson finally gets to play as a quarterback and Gwen is waiting to see if she passes the bar exam. I liked and identified with the more polished/refined characters in Show Time rather than the rough and tumble characters and language of Big Time. I enjoyed not only following their careers but also seeing how they meshed their personal lives both on and off the field. The continued look into the lives of Langston and Cassie made this a well rounded and excellent second novel in the Cannons Football Team series.

Ross and Shelby-opposites attract

She’s an almost lawyer waiting for results of her bar exam. He’s a football player waiting for the chance to make a name for himself. A quarterback tired of sitting on the bench. A cold winter’s night they meet in Aunt Maggie’s Diner and the attraction begins. They are worlds apart yet find the pull to each other too strong to resist. I liked the way their romance unfolded. Loved Aunt Maggie. And loved the HEA. Anything by this author is a great read.

Carson is a third string quarterback thrown into the situation of a lifetime. Gwen has worked hard to become a lawyer. When the two meet on a winter night they just clicked. A good story with good characters back stories.

Sports romance/instalove or instalust.

Gwen and Carson meet in her aunt’s diner. He’s a big sexy guy her aunt swears is CIA. Her aunt’s a bit daft and flaky, but the guy is hot! Funny how he seems to think the same of her.

Enjoying the view at Aunt Maggie's Diner

Play Maker is the second book in the Bitsberg Knights Duet and it is a wonderful book. The story is about Ross Leverette who is the third string quarterback for the Bitsberg Knights. After the star QB is literally crushed by a linesman for the other team during the Division Championship it looks bleak. But the second QB pulls off the win and the team finds themselves in the running for the playoff ring. Ross has been on the team for four years now and he has been "riding the sidelines" for most of it. But when the second QB injures himself during practice Ross has to turn on his talent and let the balls fly. Shelby is waiting impatiently for her results from the Ohio Bar Association. She is ready to start work as a lawyer but in the meantime she is living at home with her parents, has a car that broke down three weeks ago and working at her Aunt Maggie's diner, Maggie's Homestyle Diner, as a waitress. One cold and snowy night Ross ends up at the diner, where he goes a couple times a week, and meets Shelby. He definitely wants something that is not on the menu that night. As they chat while Shelby serves him Ross is more drawn to the young woman who does not know who he is nor is she falling all over him when she finds out he plays for the Kinghts. Actually she doesn't know anything about football if truth be told. Both Ross and Shelby are about to run full tilt into their destiny and what they have been working towards. Will that include being together though?

Show Time: A Bad Boy Sports Romance

5.0 out of 5 stars  Show Time- 5 Read Star

By vickie chaisson - December 8, 2016

Show Time by K.b. Winters is not your normal bad boy sports romance. You have all the right elements 3 rd string quarterback gets his chance at the big show and the small town girl who went to law school on scholarship working at her aunts diner. Raw and hot sexy chemistry when ever Carson and Gwen are in the same room together. But that's where Winter's will surprise you with her really sweet boy loves girl sports romance.

Carson is one of my favorite football players this year and maybe ever. He isn't full of himself and is truly amazed and thankful for his chance at the big time. He is a true leader who puts his teammates first. His ego got left in the locker room and he is just a member if the team. I live his reactions to and around Gwen. She isn't a quick roll in the hay ...he values her and truly wants her in his life. Also the other couple in this book are down to earth and realistic in the midst of their post season run for the Super Bowl. Gwen who has never been much of a sports fan as she has had her nose in her books all her life gets thrown into the craziness of sports groupies and the media handles herself with great finesse.

You will love this sweet out of the ordinary sports romance with good family values and the best HEA. I won't give anything away but you must give this book a try. With Winters writing she may turn me into a sports book reader

Another sweet and sexy sports romance from KB Winters! Carson and Gwen have that sweet chemistry not seen often, that's also sexy, but not in that over the top way you see so often. Carson is a great guy, a regular guy, who has been riding the bench for the Cannons for awhile now, but when other teammates are injured, he's called upon the be the QB for his team and take them to the Super Bowl.

Just as he's gotten the call, he meets Gwen at a diner she works at and the rest is history. Not only is Carson starting his new life as a first string QB, Gwen is starting hers, too, as a fully licensed lawyer. She's still awaiting the results of her Bar exam, so that she can become a Public Defender and help out her friend Vivi's brother, Vinnie.

It isn't often in sports romances that the hero isn't the top tier athlete with all the adulation and fame that goes along with it. I like that Carson is just a regular, sweet guy who happens to be called upon to lead his team. Sweet, regular guys are just as sexy as arrogant playboy athletes and KB gives us one in Show Time. I don't like Gwen as much as I like Carson, but the chemistry she and Carson share is both sexy and sweet.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

Carson is a third string NFL quarterback who suddenly finds himself in the starting position with a chance of taking his team to the Super Bowl. When he meets Gwen, he's immediately attracted to her and wants a chance to see what happens. But he'll have to keep his head in the game if he wants to secure his future in football.

Gwen has just finished taking the bar and is waiting to see if she passed and earned her law degree. She's working at her aunt's diner when Carson strolls in and the two meet. Their attraction is instant and she jumps at the chance to attend his football game when he offers her some tickets. What will happen when both of their dreams come true, yet it looks like they're going in different directions?

Carson is such a sweetheart! He had a tough childhood with horrible parents and had only himself to depend on. It was nice that he was able to open up to Gwen and not feel so alone anymore. Gwen is also a sweet character and wants to use her law degree to help the less fortunate. Their romance was a very hot, fast and sweet story. Ends at 38% on my Kindle with bonus books/material.

Carson's teammate Langston has his own book, Big Time, which is also available by this author.

This author turned me into a sports romance reader fan when I don't even watch sports except MMA. This one is no exception as I fell in love with this book & the characters. Carson is a third string quarterback football player who was thrown into the playoff game as starting quarterback in the biggest blizzard of the year. The weight of the team going to the Super Bowl falls onto his shoulder. But when Gwen crosses his path he loses track of all x's & o's bouncing in his head. Gwen spent years working hard to get her law degree & begin her career. Wondering what she missed out all those years buried under a pile of textbooks. Carson is not your typical bad boy sports player "player" & you can't help but like him & root for him. An entertaining written & developed novel with no plot holes. compelling character's that are realistic with real emotions & flaws. A sweet & sexy spicy hot read. My only complaint is that there was no epilogue as I love epilogues & feel I am missing something when there isn't one. I recommend reading this sports romance novel as you will not be dissappointed. I really enjoyed this story and felt that it actually followed a trope I don’t see very often (obviously not talking sports romance here…)

It’s main theme was about 2 people working in such diametrically opposite fields with no appreciation of each other’s careers trying to make a relationship work when said careers are taking off and each person really needs the others support.

It sounds boring doesn’t it..and it’s anything but.
Shelby is adorable and about to be a newly minted lawyer. Trying to make a name for herself in her firm and taking on cases (and stressing about whether she is good enough) and doesn’t need a man in her life to complicate matters…but along comes Ross and heyho In love they fall. But right when she needs him to support her his career as a solid third string QB takes off and into the stratosphere goes his career, and what doesn’t he need…a new relationship.

How these two manage these challenges is painful to read at times and you will want to bang heads together but overall it’s a great story and actually really fun

This book was amazing and so refreshing to read. It wasn't your typical bad boy romance where the bad boy was sleeping around with anything that walked, he was more down to earth than any other characters I have read in other books. I fell in love with Carson right from the start. Gwen also wasn't the super model woman, she was your average female but in the eyes of Carson she was the most beautiful woman in the world. They both have their hang ups about their relationship but as a true couple they talk it out among other things (wink wink). Once I started reading I couldn't put it down and to me it was a true romance story.
YOU HAVE TO READ THIS, you won't be disappointed, the story and writing that is done in both POV's is worth MORE than 5 stars, the only reason I didn't give it that is beacause I LOVE my epilogues and it didn't have one but I will read this book again it is one I won't forget. I'm also ecstatic that I found another author that I can't wait to read more from.

Ross has sat the bench for almost his whole contract with the Bitsberg Knights football team and is not sure if it will be renewed, it is almost the end of the season. It is the final game of the season and the star quarterback is hurt will not be able play for a while, the backup is put in and it is not him. They win the game and go to the playoffs, instead of celebrating with his team he goes to the diner he frequents. There he sees Shelby who is working at her aunts diner until her bar results come. He is attracted to her and offers he tickets to the playoff game to see her again. Shelby knows nothing about football but Ross is sexy and charming she decides to go. She actually enjoys the game and is excited to see Ross again.

The characters have such chemistry which all leads to some steamy scenes. There are times when you just want to hug Ross, he has been such a loner during his life. You see him opening up with Shelby and becoming a leader to his team, you want to cheer for him.

This is book number 2 of the Bitsberg Knights Duet and focuses on Ross and Shelby. Ross is a third string quarterback for the Knights and has been for 4 years. When the starter and the second string backup get injured, Ross finally has the chance to prove he's got what it takes to lead the team. Shelby is impatiently waiting on her results from the bar exam and in the meantime she is working at her aunt's diner. Ross is a frequent visitor at the diner and when he meets Shelby, he is immediately captivated by her. The two of them have an immediate connection and I absolutely loved the 2 of them together! Ross was honestly simply amazing. This was honestly one of my favorite books I've read in a while. It held my attention and held it from the very first page. I loved seeing Ross really come into himself and discovering who he is and could be throughout the book. I cannot recommend this book enough.

Miss Winters brings the heat and the shyness to a new height. For a woman who writes about characters who are flawed with real world problems she sure knows how to bring the feels! She has done it again! These characters are relatable and engaging with the reader that you can just imagine being with them through it all. Not only is it a sweet read it is also a very passionate read. You will will learn about a sport in the most unusual ways also but while they are very informative it is not like you are being schooled. She makes it FUN FUN FUN to learn so much! So pull up a seat and snuggle down with this book. Once your done I bet you can throw a ball once all is said and done. Or maybe you might get lucky and end up with 2 balls and the bat to play with! Loved this story! and I know you will too!

This was a sweet story taking place around the holiday. Carson is a professional football player, waiting for his big break. When the other two quarterbacks boith meet with unfortunate injuries, he becomes the starting quarterback just before going into the playoffs. While preparing for his first game as the starter, he meets Gwen, who is waiting to see if she passed the bar exam. Neither is in a place where they have time for a relationship, but love can't be denied. I loved this couple. Both were down to earth and selfless. Carson came from a broken home and Gwen had a perfect childhood, but they both have goals and are nice people. They deserve love and a happily ever after. Boy was Gwen's aunt a hoot. I laughed so hard.

This is a unique story in that for once it is the heroine who has her life together while it is the Hero who is finding himself

Ross is the third string quarterback for his team and has spent most of the season on the bench in fact he doesn't think that his contract will be reupped. After a win that he didn't play in sends his team to the finals he heads off by himself not wanting to celebrate At a diner he meets Shelby she is working there after completing her bar exam and waiting for her results The connection between them is instant and he invites her to the game even though she knows nothing about football Can they have a future and what in in the future for Ross You will have to read to see

4.5 Play Maker Stars🌟

Ross is a third-string quarterback for the Bitsberg Knights. He likes to be alone to study the playbook so he goes to a diner for a meal and meets the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen - Shelby🤩 Shelby is awaiting her Bar results to become a lawyer and while she waits for them, she’s helping her Aunt Maggie out at the diner. When she sees Ross for the first time, she’s immediately smitten - even though she doesn’t admit it straight away🙃

A really good story with a couple different elements which made the story that much more remarkable ❣️I definitely would recommend this series, very different from other stories out there. I received an advanced copy via Booksprout and voluntarily leave my honest review❤️

This is the second book in the Bitsberg Knights Duet. I read the first book and enjoyed it The story is about Ross and Shelby. Ross is the 3rd string quarterback for the Bitsberg Knights but he’s spent a great deal of time on the sidelines until the star QB is hurt during the Division Championship. Then the 2nd QB is injured during practice and Ross is able to show what he’s got. Shelby has just finished the bar and waiting anxiously for the bar results. She’s currently living with her parents and working for her aunt at her aunts’ Maggie’s Homestyle Diner, as a waitress. One night, Ross ends meets Shelby ar the diner and he’s quite smitten with her.

I really loved this story! Ross has had a tough upbringing and now has no family. He is a football player, but not in the typical sense, he keeps himself to himself and isn’t renowned for being a playboy. He is in a diner when he meets Shelby, he is instantly attracted to her. Very quickly a romance between the two starts to blossom however with Shelby waiting on her bar results and her future uncertain and Ross questioning his future, it leaves a relationship between the two questionable. A well written story that is so easy to read and really enjoyable. Fantastic characters and a happily ever after! Love this series!

Sometimes, if you are lucky, things go your way and you can get a lucky break. Well that's what happens to the new quarterback in waiting Carson Stiles. A lucky chance to play for his team after years of hard work, pure slog and a dream to win the game. Along the way he meets nearly to be Lawyer ,Gwen. She works with her aunt Maggie, oh boy do I love that woman, she is so funny. The story of two people with new careers, trying to work things out between themselves and in their jobs . Add along the mix of another story to be solved for Gwen in her career which gave more depth to the story. Nice touch.

This is a well written sports romance between Ross and Shelby. The author does a great job building the story and pulling them together. Their characters are strong and have an instant attraction along with a sizzling hot chemistry. She pulled me in from page one and had me glued to the pages right to the end routing for them along the way. It's a sweet romance with both looking to make their dreams come true and with the help from friends and each other they hope to achieve it. I loved reading their story and would recommend this book.

I've read a lot of books written by KB Winters; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is the second book in the Bitsberg Knights Duet; it is a stand-alone book. Shelby is about to become a lawyer but when she sees Ross at her aunts diner she realizes everything she has missed while in school. Ross is a professional football player whose career is almost over; he’s got to get the team to the superbowl this year or it will be over but once he sees Shelby she’s is all he can think about.

This is book 2 of the Bitsberg Knights duet and features Ross, the third string qb for the Knights and Shelby, who is waiting for her results of the bar exam. The two meet at her Aunt Maggie’s diner in Bitsberg where she was working a shift and sparks fly. Shelby has no idea who he is because she’s never been into sports, always with her nose in the books working to graduate from Yale law. Things move fast and you get caught up on Chance and Lacey’s lives from book 1. Great characters some emotional back stories for both Ross and Shelby. Aunt Maggie definitely brings the laughs!
