Claire
This story is special to me because Claire is based on a real girl I went to school with and fancied like mad. The narrator of this story is very much me in the early part of the story. However, this story isn't what actually happened between us. Far from it. Perhaps it’s just what I wished had happened. Originally written in 1998, this version of the story is from 2004. My first attempt at a 'Romance'. It's one I'd like to rewrite, but don’t know if I ever will.

The illustration for “Scratched” by Gloklund was pretty cool (you can find it, and the other Ruthie’s Club Illustrations of his stories on his website). In all Marc had 13 stories published and illustrated by Ruthie’s Club.
Marc’s first novel, Charlotte’s Secret, was published by Phaze in 2008. Eternally & Evermore, his fourth Phaze novel, was published in 2010. In 2011, Marc launched Parkland Publishing and released the first book in the Tutelam Venit series in 2011.
Originally from Wolverhampton in The Black County, Marc now lives in the Northamptonshire countryside just a stone’s throw from where Princess Diana is buried and the Gunpowder Plot was plotted. It’s far cry from his inner-city roots, but that’s what an education does for you. He studied at the University of Aberystwyth and the University of Swansea.
When he’s not writing, blogging, counting other people’s money or being a loving husband and father, Marc enjoys the peace and quiet of his garden, where he grows all manner of quite magnificent fruit and vegetables.

This story is absolutely beautiful! I love how Mr. Marc Nobbs takes you on the journey of Claire and Marc. Their relationship is simply beautiful. This book is not very long, but it is one of my greatest reads.
I love how Marc and Claire become best friends. Then Marc, as cute as he can be, asked Claire to be his girlfriend. AWE!!! After college they then get married and have a bay.
Please have tissues next to you when tou read this story. I cried my eyes out at the end. In my opinion, Marc and Claire's relationship is the perfect love story.

Wow yet again this author pulls a surprise out of the bag with this story!!
I'm beginning to anticipate the unexpected with every story I pick up from Mr Nobbs and the more I do read of his work the more I am realising he is a total rare find as an author. With every story I've read so far he is showing me more and more he has a multi dimensional writing capability!
Not only can he deliver a story of emotionally painful subjects with a fantastic beautiful fluidity, he can also capture a characters turmoil and portray it with finesse. Then he can switch to fun hot and sexy reads that turn up the heat! - truly a rare find in the male author community.
I stated in another review for this author that it's unique for a male author to deliver delicate or emotional story lines and describe them beautifully with ease - well it would appear from the more I read from Mr Nobbs he has this talent down to a fine art, well done !
In the synopsis for this story Marc Nobbs states this is his 'first attempt' at a romance book - well if this is the case I truly can't wait to read more because this would never have come across as a first anything, this is a solid perfect love story, including a few surprises that will require laugher and a few tears.
Marc also states this is a story he would like to re-visit and possibly re-write it over -my response to this would be "please sir leave it as it is you can't top perfection".
