SPRING SURPRISE: Women's Fiction Novel about life and love, in small town Texas

Rate this book
If you read the entire Healing Series up to now, you know I’ve ended each book with a cliffhanger. Well, this last story ties up all the loose ends for the characters you know and introduces a couple of fresh faces to follow. In high school, Becca had a total crush on Tim Rusk, the big man on campus. He’s been away at college, but due to family pressure, he’s back in Graceville. Now, he’s getting in her way. Becca was invisible in high school; the class outcast. She’s altered her looks by dying her hair green hair and toning her body. The changes have given her enough confidence to start her own bakery, but is she strong enough to battle the attraction she still feels toward Tim?

Take my review with a grain of salt, since I'm the author of this, the final book in the Healing Series.

Beginning with the prequel, Season of Serendipity, the Healing Series is a tip of the hat to country life. Seasons define what residents do; be it mowing pastures (shredding), blanketing horses, watching leaves fall, or welcoming the red-winged blackbirds.
What I didn't know when I started writing was that Annie, the transplant to the county, would change those around her. Even though she struggles with her own sadness in the beginning of the series, by the end, she's reaching out to help others.
The characters in these novels tackle real-life issues and struggles. Can a marriage be saved? Can a start-up business work out? Can a foreigner find a place in a new country? It's all here, in the pages of the Healing Series.
I hope you enjoy reading the books as much as I've enjoyed breathing life into these characters.
