About the author

USA Today Bestselling Author A.J. Macey has an addiction to coffee, cats, and swearing. Sucks at adulting and talking to people, so she'll frequently be lost in a book or running away with her imagination when she's not spending time with her husband, daughter, or two cats Thor and Loki. A.J. has a B.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice, and previous coursework in Forensic Science, Behavioral Psychology, and Cybersecurity. Before becoming an author, A.J. worked as a Correctional Officer in a jail where she met her husband. She started writing just for fun when she was little and continued to create stories for years until finally sitting down to finish and publish a book in 2018!

Short read - she's been in love with him since she was 15... and he's been in love with her since then but neither could act on it... now she's in danger and he will do everything to protect her.

Main Characters: Raina Tomlin: University Student, daughter of the gray shadows boss, step sister, friend and hiding a secret crush.

Oliver Brownstead: Step brother, member of gray shadows, part time stalker of his step sister

Story Overview:
Raina's life is put at risk and Oliver comes to her rescue, but was it a one off crime of passion or was it planned? Raina's father tasks Oliver with being his daughter's body guard.

Emotions run high as Oliver tries to hide his attraction to Raina; but Raina is trying poorly to hide her own attraction. It all comes out when Raina is taken. It's Oliver's worst fear, can he get to her in time before anything happens?

Unrequited love and crime families. Raina is a crime family princess as her father is the boss of The Grey Shadows. Oliver is her stepbrother and hes also her guardian angel whenever she needs it. These two are just so sweet in this book and i really liked that dynamic between the both of them. This was a shorter read shorter read but it was still action packed with great characters too. Just a great read

This book was pretty good, but a little too short. I would’ve liked more information on both characters. I would’ve like to see their relationship grow more. I would have liked or information on the stalker and even a little bit more details in the ending.

Loved that it was insta-love/already-secretly-in-love, HEA, and sweet.

Fantastic

A wonderful story, although it's not RH, it was still a great story with an entertaining storyline. A.J. Macey has again intrigued me with an interesting book. Definitely want to read the next book.
