Paddy isn't sharpest pencil in the box, which was reminded to him over and over by his grandpa when he was a kid. That's why he's not looking for a wife, but instead screws random women and isn't seeking anything serious. Until Anya comes with her offer...
Anya went through hell 5 years ago, when she was sold to Polish mafia and sexually abused. Now she doesn't want to have anything to do with men, and she picks Paddy for a marriage of convenience, so her family would stop pushing her.
I didn't mind Paddy at first, but later on when at the 80% hitmark he flirted with some other woman at the bar, in order to avoid apologizing to his wife for an insult, I had about enough! This guy is seriously dumb as a rock! Anya instead of kicking him in the balls, listens to his explanation about the grandpa, tells him she loves him and here we go - HEA and finally some sex 😄
I mean the scene, when she assures him of her love is probably realistic, but still I would grill him more...
This book was a disappointment for me, as usual when the expectation is too high. I was missing some chemistry between MCs and none of them was likeable. Anyway, at least LK Shaw makes each story in the series unique.
