So, when O’Shea’s prisoner transport is ambushed by the local mafia, Kayla has another life-threatening decision to make...
Should she chase the answers she needs into a world of crime, corruption and lies? Or should she escape with her life?
On a twisting trail around Golden Gate City, and with the truth closer than she’d ever expected, Kayla learns that sometimes, revenge is a dish best served hot.

Englishman Steven Moore grew up by the seaside, thus his first true joy was the great outdoors. His innate love of travel and a degree in anthropology, archaeology, and art history help inform his fiction writing. Steven also loves painting, photography, and both playing and watching sport.
The travel bug bit the now perpetual nomad early, and to date Steven has lived and worked on five continents, and visited almost sixty countries. Steven combines an age-old writing adage; Write what you know, with his own mantra; Write where you know, and sets most of his novels in places in which he has either lived or spent an extended period of time.
When not on the road with his writer wife Leslie, San Miguel de Allende in Mexico is home, which they share with their rescue cats Ernest Hemingway and F Scott Fitzgerald (Ernie and Fitz).
A lifelong love of food, wine, and beer have demanded a new-found love of yoga and hiking in order to fend off the imminent arrival of middle age.

Kayla is back and on the hunt for Father O’Shea in this ( I think ) the last in the series, tbh it’s a must to read the rest in the series, including Book O that set’s it all up, without the prior books being read it would be difficult to know what is happening and who is who and why they are as they are This time the story moves through different timelines and includes a world event that starts the book very well, we find ourselves in Dubai, Brighton and San Fransisco and ultimately with Kayla back in Australia Kayla gets to find her roots in this book and tie together all the loose ends she has been fighting for and to do from the start, of course this isen’tban easy task and much adventure precedes the revelations of the book I’ve liked Kayla from the start and continued to do so throughout although we saw less of her in this book than previous it still was enough for her character and personality to shine through Another good story although I did struggle with the tying up of the world event to the conclusion and felt maybe this book felt a bit rushed in comparison to the others It’s been a great series though and collaboration of the 2 authors
This is the third outing for the Vigilante series with Kayla still trying to sort out Father O'Shea once and for all. In the best book of the series so far we visit San Francisco and as usual the adventure speeds up rather quickly. Twist and turns abound and the action keeps on coming. Will Kayla be up to the task of will Father O'Shea win? Highly recommended

Kayla has moved to San Francisco..the only reason she is there is to talk to Father O'Shea.
The man that holds answer's to her past and a man that needs to be bought to justice.
After travelling half way around the world to catch him Kayla knew that time was running out to talk to him and she will not let anything stop in her way. Being extradited from Dubai into the US this was her only chance.
O'Shea has the answer's to her past but she is not the only one after him. Mafia boss Dom DeCarlo has his own reasons for wanting to speak O'Shea . How many lives does O'Shea have? And can he escape justice once again with not only Kayla on his tail but also the mafia.
This is the best action packed and explosive book yet in the Kayla Stone series.
In this series, Kayla Stone is a heroine whose gritty character takes on evil, fighting for the oppressed across sites around the globe.
Set Me Free has Kayla in San Francisco pursuing her nemesis for answers to her own past. She becomes the pursued in turn, and there’s an added villain and his gang in the game.
Very well written mystery thriller in the tough and grimy backwater of the Bay Area.
In this, yet again, mindblowingly brilliant novel, Kayla is hunting for an old nemesis, Father O’Shea. This brings her to San Fransisco and, for this is probably my favorite city in the whole of the USA, this was a joyful surprise.
As always Steve Moore and Luke Richardson have written an exciting story and I had great difficulty closing the book when things needed to be done.
With every Kayla Stone-novel you read, you become more addicted. Anxiously waiting for the next one!
Kayla Stone is a heroine fighting evil. She finds out who her biological father is. Her biological father is a evil person. He also just finds out who his daughter is and follows her to try to get her to come with him. Kayla has a plan for her father, DeCarlo. Action packed thriller.
Kayla Stone is always a great read, but in Set Me Free, she resolved some live long questions. All while kicking butts of everyone that gets in her way. That was one twisted web she untangled too! #KaylaStone
I really enjoyed this book. This is book three in the series and as all the unanswered questions from the previous books get explained I would recommend that you read or listen to the first two books before getting sucked into this one. This book jumps around in time explaining the cliff hanger from the previous book and focuses a lot on how O'shea became the man he became and a surprise connection or history between the human trafficker and Kayla. Don't worry Kayla is still very much in the mix, seeking justice like only she can. Even though things get explained the author doesn't skimp on the action and flying bullets. I just hope the author is right and this is not the last book we see featuring the vigilante Kayla. The world needs hero's and Kayla and this series is one of the better ones. Father O'Shea will say anything to get himself out of trouble but the bombshell he dropped on Kayla while in Dubai, has her once again seeking him out. This time she doesn't want to stop him she wants answers. But Kayla isn't the only one with a reason to want O'Shea dead. When he is returned to San Francisco his past catches up with him and a prison break find s Kayla trying to keep the man she wants dead most in the world alive. Will she get the answers she needs? The narrator does a good job of keeping the listener hooked until the very end. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
This tense, high tale of chasing the bad guys, saving the good ones and stopping the endless violence is a fast read. Not because it's short but rather that the writing style used kept me so engrossed I couldn't stop. I wanted, needed, to see what thrilling acts Kayla would perform. She isn't your typical shoot-em-up character, in fact she prefers there be none of that. But if you screw with her or someone she values then you can expect to come up on the short end of the stick. I have enjoyed all of the books in this series and this one is no exception. There were some unexpected character twists I didn't expect that just blew my mind! But rest assured that you can expect much more from this story than I have hinted at here. You'll not be sorry.
This book neatly intertwines two plots. The first involves Father O'Shea with his full back story and his child smuggling today. Then secondly we have Kayla and her search for the truth about her parents and having to save the children. It all comes together with a few surprises along the way. Great writing puts you in the thick of the action. Just a brilliant series!
San Francisco is the setting, for Steven Moore and Luke Richardson's dramatic conclusion to Kayla Stone's story, Set Me Free.
This international-thriller trilogy sees danger from the past brought forward, as Kayla arrives in San Francisco...where she buys a gun! But who else is on O'Shea's trail looking for vengeance and what is their relationship to Kayla?
Many twists and turns take place, before Kayla and O'Shea have their showdown, then a grande dénouement takes place, that you definitely won't have seen coming, that keeps the tension fully ramped up right to the unexpected ending.
Best read in sequence, beginning with prequel, Set Him Free, for a full Kyla Stone reading experience. Don't wait to get your hands on all four, for an epic, 5-star, thrilling adventure you're guaranteed to be shaken, stirred and fully satisfied by!
