When Luci Cunningham first walked in to Josh Harrington's classroom he didn't expect any of it - the pull of her brown eyes, the allure of her smile, or the harsh reality that she was his student. He tried everything to resist her, but actions have a funny way of catching up when you least expect it, coupled with the worst timing in history.
Josh has always struggled with selfishness, but when it comes to the one person that matters most suddenly doing what's right is front and center. Now stuck in a life he doesn't want any part of, Josh spirals into an out of control mess, desperate to forget the girl of his dreams.

Beautiful Mess (Beautiful Series #4) picks up after graduation and takes place between Beautiful Torment (Beautiful Series #1) / Beautiful Obsession (Beautiful Series #3) and Beautiful Dream (Beautiful Series #2).
I always avoided reading this one because I love the first three books so much (despite Josh’s ow grossness early on in book 3 but that was before they had kissed). I knew this book was going to be a bit of a mess because it’s all his POV in the 2.5 year period when they were apart. I wish I never read it. It made me hate him. He turned back to his disgusting womanizer ways. The real problem is the k!nky, detailed, gratuitous, and graphic smex that happens with a multitude of other women ON PAGE who are not the love of his life, when it could have been behind closed doors. Yes, it’s probably vaguely realistic even if I think the author is giving him far more and adventurous rendezvous that would truly be offered to him (I mean literally every woman in this book is begging for any scraps this guy would give him and he treats them like trash). Most of it could have been behind closed doors and the point would have been made.
Sadly, this book made me hate Josh and I wish I never read it. I read the next book (chronologically) in the series that I don’t know what happened and I’m not sure he’ll be able to turn it around for me. It REALLY Messed me up and made my heart hurt.
3.75 for this book in the series. I’m not sure I really understand the point of this book as it’s just how life was for Josh without Luci until the school year starts again and he changes his ways and tries to get on Gracie’s good side to get updates on Luci. The spice was still nothing to sneeze at for sure though.

What is this... one hundred and something pages of a man mopping around on a loop. The H and h have no interaction during the book at all, only in the last 5 pages or so... I love this series, but this one was a waste of my time. I can't wait for the next one when the story is actually about both of them. I don't think this book is necessary when reading the series.
Josh and Luci OMG........Paige Lauren I love this series. The main characters go through so much especially Luci, am not giving away any spoilers. This story is great, hot hot for the teacher!!!!!!!!! This series deserves 10 stars not 5!!!!!
